Fang Huai’s words were delivered calmly.
But suddenly, the atmosphere around beca a bit tense.
Everyone exchanged glances.
They had heard Fang Huai announce this plan at the end of May. Back then, everyone had returned from Sichuan, feeling heavy-hearted.

But now, Fang Huai had gone out and upon returning, told everyone that we were going nationwide.
This left everyone a bit stunned.
Was the plan that aggressive? Even the Ministry was impressed?
Had I missed sothing before?
In the brief mont of silence after Fang Huai finished speaking, everyone was discussing in low voices.
However, that lasted only half a minute before Fang Huai spoke up again:

"Right, in Pingba, Xiayun Town, near a tunnel. We started climbing the slope right from the tunnel entrance! There was a vehicle behind when I was ascending; I kept sounding the alarm, but when we stopped, it nearly crashed into us."
Fang Huai nodded slightly.
"So, how many natural disasters occur in the entire province?
Let tell you an official statistic.
In 2007, Guizhou experienced 704 geological disasters, including 446 landslides, 128 collapses, 24 mudslides, 39 ground sinkholes and settlents, and 67 ground fissures.
While not many were large-scale disasters, the base number is huge.
Forest fires, which our whole corps responded to and dispatched to, exceeded 120 incidents, averaging one every three days, and nationwide, last year alone, there were 2395 incidents.
Of course, fires that spread over more than 2000 acres are not as common, accounting for less than one percent.
But, they definitely do occur in Guizhou Province, like last March 2nd’s large forest fire in Guiyang’s Huaxi Qiantao Village.
Looking back over the years, it’s almost like there’s one or two big ones every year.
So, what do these natural disasters and so major incidents an to us?
It ans that in the future, our Second Squadron is no longer safe.
From now on, we will have to attend to such incidents.
Moreover, if there are two major incidents occurring at the sa ti within the province, we might have to dispatch to both venues.
And we must still ensure the Safety of our jurisdiction.
Before, everyone was discussing how 60 people would respond to Police Dispatch? Could it be that for every small incident, we’d send a large group of people?
Heh, comrades, you’re thinking too narrowly. In the future, the reinforcent plans from the Command Centers of every Detachnt in the province will include our Second Squadron’s strength. Once a complex large-scale disaster occurs, we’ll be the first in the reinforcent sequence.
Our Squadron has only 60 people, which might not be enough."
This statent imdiately sparked intense discussion.

Those who qualify can then join a rescue Sub-team based on their strengths and personal interests in learning. After joining, they will undergo specialized training. For example, the Earthquake Rescue Sub-team will learn specialized skills like search and Rescue, first Aid, demolition, and creating support tools. There are about ten to twenty professional subjects for each disaster type, and each subject will have an assessnt. Once you pass all subjects, you will officially beco a mber of that team!"
