If an outsider were present at this mont, they would witness an extraordinarily eerie scene.

The bodyguards, who had been taking shifts to ensure round-the-clock vigilance, were still quietly waiting at the door. However, as Luan Hua led Lian Lian and Li Yan out of the suite and passed right by them, they rely watched with open eyes, unmoved.

Even the bodyguard sitting in front of the surveillance monitors watched the three figures in the footage pass through the corridor and into the elevator without any reaction.

It was only when they reached the surveillance blind spot across the street from the hotel that Luan Hua finally pulled off the hat that had been covering his head, opened the rear car door, roughly shoved the two still dazed people inside, closed the door, and slipped into the front passenger seat before speeding away.

About half an hour later, the first to regain consciousness on the hotel’s top floor was the leader of Yun Chan’s bodyguard team.

He was supposed to replace the deputy leader to continue monitoring the two in the adjacent suite at dawn but ended up inexplicably falling prey after waking up and making a trip to the restroom.

He actually dozed off while sitting on the toilet.

For soone well-trained, who could wake up instantly if a mosquito buzzed by as long as they weren’t in deep sleep, this was absolutely unbelievable.

Realizing sothing was wrong, he imdiately rushed to the handover location.

"Old Liu, Old Gao!"

The two called out, shivered involuntarily, and both addressed him as "Captain."

"Was there anything unusual between three and three fifteen?"

The two people questioned were montarily stunned.

Near the shift change, they had just checked their watches—it wasn’t even three yet.

Why were they being asked about three fifteen?

Coming to their senses, both of them looked at their watches simultaneously again.

Three twenty.

This ti, they could no longer maintain their calm deanor.

Where did the more than twenty minutes in between go?

Could ti have been stolen?

The bodyguard captain was starting to panic.

"Quick, go check if those two people are still there!"

This ti, they didn’t waste a second; the three of them rushed in without even bothering to knock.

But there was no one in the living room! No one in the bedroom! Neither in the bathroom nor on the balcony!

The three of them fixed their eyes on the ssy bed for three seconds.

"It looks like they got out of bed themselves, not dragged away."

"The question is, where are they?"

Holding onto a last glimr of hope, the three rushed to the surveillance room and ran into the team mber watching the caras.

"Captain, Deputy Captain, I was just about to find you, sothing happened!"

Returning to the monitor, the person couldn’t control their trembling hands. "I swear I didn’t nap, but in just a blink, I found the ti on the cara jumped forward by over twenty minutes. I thought the machine had malfunctioned and rolled the video back twenty-so minutes..."

Four pairs of eyes stared intently at the monitor in front of them.

Shortly before three, the small screen of the elevator surveillance showed the elevator doors suddenly open, and out walked a figure shrouded entirely in black, gender indistinguishable.

Whether they’d seen it before or were seeing it for the first ti, everyone couldn’t help but feel a chill down their spine.

Soon, the black figure appeared on a second screen, then a third... until it stopped at the suite door where the people were.

The two bodyguards who had been at the door, watching themselves in the surveillance playback ignoring the outsider as if blind and deaf, were chilled to the bone.

"How, how could this be?"

But no one paid attention to his stuttering; the playback continued.

The person entered the room with a clear purpose, heading straight to the bedroom where Lian Lian and Li Yan were. Watching Lian Lian and Li Yan leave without resistance following behind the person, exiting the room and entering the elevator...

The bodyguard captain could no longer sit still, shooting to his feet, "I have to wake the boss!"

This was beyond anything he could handle or even comprehend!

The only slight comfort was that the person in black had no intent to take their lives.

Otherwise, based on what they saw in the playback, no matter how skilled they were, it’d be futile. The person could kill them effortlessly.

Three thirty.

Awakened, Yun Chan and Yun Yi also took seats in front of the monitor.

Yun Chan stabilized herself with a sip of warm water, "Rewind, play at 0.5 speed, I want to see it again."

"... Stop, zoom in on that person’s hand!"

With the hand almost filling the entire screen, the crowd gazing at the monitor saw the person seem to place sothing into Li Yan’s mouth.

Yun Chan put her cup down, taking a deep breath, "That thing is probably what made them so obedient."

"A drug?" Yun Yi furrowed his brow, "What kind of drug makes soone comply without resistance?"

"Can’t say."

"Wait, look at the coffee table." Anxious, Yun Yi took the mouse from the bodyguard, quickly pulling up two screenshots.

"There was a black rectangular item on the coffee table when the person entered, but it was gone when they left."

The image enlarged, revealing the rectangular object’s details clearly.

The bodyguard watching the footage slapped his forehead, his face flashing with regret, reluctantly confessed, "That item is sothing Lian Lian took out of the desert when they t soone with the young master. She said she saw it while burying a body and casually took it."

Instantly, Yun Yi wore an expression hard to describe.

Just when he thought Lian Lian had hit a new low, she managed to sink even further.

This is like profiting from the dead!

"And then?"

"It seed to be a phone. There was a call, but it was hung up before answered. Before they slept, the two discussed if they should use it to call for help. Sohow, it self-destructed, even started smoking. I figured it was useless, and the boss was already asleep, so I didn’t report it."

Yun Chan cast a cold glance over.

How could she not know what her bodyguards were thinking, confident in their skills, assuming this was a minor issue, seeing no need to disturb her rest.

But the person in black wasn’t ordinary at all.

Possibly soone like Changning with undisclosed abilities.

Lian Lian and Li Yan, she suspected, were taken because they took that phone.

"Should we call the police now or try to track them down?"

Yun Chan hesitated for a mont but ultimately shook her head, "That person was mysterious, they didn’t kill us probably to avoid extra trouble. But if we pursue relentlessly, who knows."

"Moreover, from the surveillance, Lian Lian and Li Yan left willingly, reporting this to the police is pointless, it’s not viable."

"Boss, doesn’t this an we can’t do anything?"

Standing up, suppressing the helplessness spreading inside, Yun Chan nodded slightly, "Continue your tasks, also copy the recent video for , mark the two findings in the video clearly."

The previous USB drive was taken by Jiang Lingxi, along with a sketch of the USB and phone’s owner. That girl surely didn’t take them just for collection.

Now this happened, she definitely needed to show the video to Jiang Lingxi!
