The blood of the Sixth Order Demonic Beast had a strong spiritual power. After a short rest, Ye You felt a certain amount of his strength return.
He slowly stood up and walked over to the carcass of the Male Moon Spirit Golden Peacock, observing it carefully. He noticed that the heavenly thunder drawn down by the power of the Phoenix Scepter inflicted severe damage on the body of the peacock.
In areas where the lightning had struck, feathers and skin were charred black; part of its tail feathers had also been affected.
Fortunately, the longest feather in the middle was intact. It had not been long since the death of the Moon Spirit Golden Peacock, and the feather still shone brilliantly with vivid colors.
Ye You reached out his paw, plucked out the longest feather from the peacock’s body, and put it into his portable space.
Half an hour later, Yun Wang ca flying back on the back of a Sunset Goose.
The Sunset Goose, nad for its deep yellow-golden feathers resembling the sunset sky, was a large bird. Despite its size, it was mild-mannered, had limited strength, and was generally of a lower rank.
Yun Wang rode on the back of the Sunset Goose, controlling its direction by clutching its neck, and ca to Ye You. He shouted, "Your Highness, quickly get Ms. Qin up here. Let this big bird carry us back to the Divine Dog City."
"Alright." Ye You agreed, and maneuvered the silver sphere enveloping Qin Sisi, allowing it to rest on the back of the Sunset Goose.
The whole back of the Sunset Goose was about two ters long, just enough for Qin Sisi to lie down. Ye You sprawled beside her, while Yun Wang sat near the goose’s neck, perfectly positioned to control the Sunset Goose.
The bird squawked disapprovingly as its back suddenly beca much heavier.
Yun Wang gave it a light slap on the head, scolding, "Stop squawking! Just carry us back to the Divine Dog City and you will get your reward."
Whether the Sunset Goose understood Yun Wang’s words or was simply frightened, it obediently flew up carrying the three of them in the direction indicated by Yun Wang.
Yun Wang showed a satisfied smile on his face and looked back at Ye You and the unconscious Qin Sisi.
He had seen Qin Sisi blocking the blast of fire from the Moon Spirit Golden Peacock for Ye You.
Initially, he was indifferent to Qin Sisi, only treating her respectfully due to Ye You’s relationship. In his heart, he felt that this seemingly ordinary woman did not deserve their Prince of Demon Sacred Realm.
However, from the mont Qin Sisi risked her life to save Ye You, Yun Wang was determined to guard Qin Sisi as he would Ye You.
Half of the sun had sunk below the horizon, and the remaining half turned fiery red, casting a gentle hue without the brightness of the day.
The Sunset Goose was rather diligent, but halfway through the journey, an unexpected event occurred.
The Sunset Goose suddenly started making distressed calling noises, its body swaying left and right.
Yun Wang nearly fell off, imdiately tightening his clutch around the goose’s neck, nervously yelling, "What are you doing? Could you not sway?!"
No sooner were the words out of his mouth than the bird began to descend, its large wings stretching nearly two ters, flapping hard to maintain a smooth landing.
Yun Wang, with his arms around the Sunset Goose’s neck, felt its heavy panting and realised that it was exhausted.
"What’s the matter? Tired?"
As Yun Wang muttered to himself, he looked back at Ye You and Qin Sisi. What he saw startled him.
Ye You, who was previously a small black cat, had now morphed into a creature that stood one ter tall and was roughly one and a half ters long. It was as though a black panther had appeared out of nowhere.
If not for those familiar purple eyes, Yun Wang would have surely thought that this black panther was a threat.
"Yo... Your Highness, it’s you, isn’t it?" Yun Wang stamred.
Ye You, equally helpless about his situation, sighed, and replied, "Yes, it’s . It’s probably because I drank too much beast blood. When spiritual power is restrained by a curse and cannot increase, physical size changes."
Before Yun Wang could respond, the Sunset Goose beneath him let out a few brief calls, as if complaining about the heavy weight on its back.
Yun Wang was growing anxious and was about to scold the Sunset Goose when Ye You continued, "Co down, I think it can’t carry us anymore. Fortunately, Divine Dog City is not far off. We can walk the rest of the way."
With that, Ye You jumped off the Sunset Goose, and the silver sphere enveloping Qin Sisi left the goose’s back too.
Now that his size was much larger, he decided to let Qin Sisi ride on his back.
"Sisi, you’ve carried so many tis, now it’s ti for to carry you", Ye You muttered to himself, his gaze fixed on the road ahead that was swallowed up by the dark.
Yun Wang had no choice but to jump off, pat the back of the Sunset Goose and loudly say, "Thank you, buddy!"
If the Sunset Goose could roll its eyes, it would have definitely given Yun Wang a big one.
He thought that verbally expressing his gratitude seed inadequate. He planned to treat it to a good al at Divine Dog City, but now that idea was impossible as the Sunset Goose could not accompany them anymore.
Yun Wang hesitated for a mont, then took out the Spirit Revitalizing Pill, given to him by Ye You, from his storage ring. Each bottle contained five pills.
Though he was a bit reluctant, the Sunset Goose did help them after all. Yun Wang, being who he was, bit the bullet, opened the bottle, and fed a Spirit Revitalizing Pill into the Sunset Goose’s mouth.
Upon ingesting the Spirit Revitalizing Pill, the exhausted Sunset Goose imdiately felt refreshed and reinvigorated.
It let out a couple of loud calls, seemingly expressing its gratitude, then with a few strong flaps of its wings, it turned back in the direction it ca from. It quickly disappeared into the night.
anwhile, Ye You quickly broke into a run, carrying Qin Sisi towards the direction of Divine Dog City at a very high speed, like a streak of black lightning.
Yun Wang stood still for a mont before hurriedly giving chase.
By this ti, the sky was completely dark. Ye You’s purple eyes shone bright in the darkness, the pitch-black night couldn’t stop his pace, and his movents were swift and agile, a perfect combination of elegance and wildness.
Yun Wang, having invoked his magical power, sprouted a pair of small wings behind him, half flying and half running behind Ye You.
He had no choice; running purely on physical strength made it impossible for his two legs to outrun Ye You’s four.
The grand city gate slowly ca into view in the darkness, like a beacon of life and light beckoning them.
Spirits lifted, Ye You ran even faster, as if making a final sprint for this leg of the journey.
Suddenly the guards atop the city walls lit up lanterns, and several armored heads peeked out. One of them shouted, "Who goes there?"
