Chapter 96: Chapter 96 Arrogant Female Ghost_1

As she spoke, Qin Sisi mockingly raised a hand.

The Grandma ghost was terrified. Only those who have personally experienced poverty know how frightening poverty is. She had suffered all her life, and naturally did not want her descendants to suffer as well. Moreover, if her children did not do well, they would not care about her, a mother who had already passed away. She would quickly be forgotten, like a speck of dust.

The Grandma ghost clung to a nearby gravestone and implored Qin Sisi with a mournful face, "Please, miss. I will agree to anything, isn’t that enough?"

A barely noticeable smirk curled at the corner of Qin Sisi’s mouth. She lowered her hand and took a few steps back, allowing the Grandma ghost so ti to adjust her emotions.

The Grandma ghost hugged the gravestone and sobbed for a while, slowly accepting the fate that was laid before her. Wiping away her tears, she stood up slowly, took a deep look at the tombstone that brought her dignity and rembrance, then turned to face Qin Sisi.

"Miss, do as you must. Either way, I am willing to be cut straight to the chase!" The Grandma ghost tilted her neck back, showing a hint of grandeur.

Qin Sisi chuckled and assured her, "Grandmother, as I’ve told you, your soul won’t truly disappear. In a fortuitous occurrence, there’s a chance you could be reborn."

The Grandma ghost sighed deeply and replied, "In this vast world, what luck does a re ghost like

have? Miss, you don’t need to comfort . I’ve made up my mind. Since you’ve helped , I ought to repay my debt to you."

The words were quite to the point. Qin Sisi nodded silently and turned her attention to Ye You.

Ye You flicked his claws and conjured up the snow-white Spirit Conversion Bottle.

The Spirit Conversion Bottle spun a few tis in mid-air before gracefully and mysteriously floating still in the air.

The hunched figure of the Grandma ghost gradually faded until she finally turned into a thin plu of black smoke. At a leisurely and unhurried pace, she flowed into the Spirit Conversion Bottle, becoming the ninth ghost collected by Ye You.

Once all the smoke had entered, Ye You picked up the Spirit Conversion Bottle, his gaze landing softly on Qin Sisi’s face.

Qin Sisi returned the look with a faint smile, speaking gently, "The matter with Grandma ghost has ended, Mrs. Wang Luo has seen her son too. I think, it’s ti for us to leave this place."

As Qin Sisi spoke, she looked out into the distance. At the edge of the vivid blue sky, distant mountains coiled and convoluted, their green-black color only faintly visible, as if it was draped in a light, hazy veil.

Smoke rose from the village, casting a hospitable feel over the serene mountains under the clear sky.

This tranquility could not be found in the bustling city.

Ye You also raised his sight to survey the surroundings. A trace of lancholy flashed through his purple eyes as he sighed unconsciously.

Hearing Ye You’s sigh, Qin Sisi quickly asked with concern, "What’s wrong?"

Ye You paused before replying, "Nothing much. I think we should not bid your friend goodbye just yet. Let’s communicate with the female ghost tonight first. If her death is also related to this place, we might need to stay for a few more days."

Qin Sisi nodded in agreent, "Mmhmm, you’re right. Let’s head back and rest early tonight."

"Okay," Ye You agreed and let out a sigh of relief. He didn’t know how to express his hosickness.

At midnight, Ye You woke up Qin Sisi on ti. Qin Sisi, rubbing her eyes, remarked, "You’re really like an alarm clock."

Flabbergasted, Ye You softly replied, "Let’s clear our heads first, prepare and then begin."

"Alright," Qin Sisi hopped off the bed, adjusted her clothing, and took a few laps around the room to wake herself up.

Ten minutes later, Qin Sisi said to Ye You, "Okay, let’s get started."

Ye You nodded, then added, "This female ghost emits a strong malicious aura, please be careful."

Qin Sisi paused for a mont, agreed verbally but her curiosity grew inside her. What had that beautiful woman undergone? Why did she die so horribly? And why did she beco a malicious ghost that harms the innocent?

Questions bubbled in Qin Sisi’s heart. She couldn’t wait to find out more about the female ghost’s story.

With a swipe of Ye You’s claws, a white figure flew out from his hand, landing in the middle of the room. It gradually solidified, taking the form of a delicate and majestic woman with delicate and beautiful features, clad in a graceful, white dress. It was the beautiful ghost that Qin Sisi had previously seen at the train station.

The ghost surveyed the room with her large, bright eyes, finally landing her gaze on Qin Sisi.

Qin Sisi in return, was carefully observing her and noticed, to her surprise, a trace of contempt in the ghost’s eyes as they rested on her.

"Did you have this cat capture ?" the ghost asked, her voice icy, like snow in the coldest winter.

Qin Sisi frowned. Was this the legendary cold beauty?

Despite her dissatisfaction, Qin Sisi politely answered, "Yes."

"Are you a mage?" the ghost continued to inquire.

Qin Sisi shook her head, "No."

A trace of confusion appeared on the ghost’s face, "Then why did you capture ?"

Qin Sisi sensed sothing was wrong. After so thought, she realized that since the ghost’s appearance, she had been the one asking questions. Qin Sisi, who should be in control, had not yet asked a single question.

But, since the ghost was so straightforward, Qin Sisi was saved from beating around the bush and directly answered, "I need Soul Power."

"Oh...." the ghost extended the vowel sound, nodding as if she finally understood. Although her expression was indifferent and not at all scared like the other ghosts, she still spoke sarcastically, "Then why haven’t you taken action?"

Qin Sisi was taken aback, this ghost was not just beautiful, she was quite sharp-minded as well.

Qin Sisi had to accept the truth and told her, "I need you to willingly give

your Soul Power."

The ghost let out a chilly laugh, the mocking tone in her voice deepening, "May I ask why I should willingly give my soul power to you?"

Her arrogant attitude irked Qin Sisi. She wouldn’t allow herself to be led around by the ghost anymore, she took a deep breath, raised her head to look directly into the ghost’s eyes, and asked clearly, "Did you kill those n at the train station?"

The ghost chuckled lightly, unbothered as she responded, "Yes, I did. What of it?"

Qin Sisi was sowhat annoyed. Keeping her cool she asked, "Did they harm you?"

The ghost answered casually, "No."

A surge of anger welled up inside Qin Sisi. She swiftly stepped forward, demanding sternly, "Then why did you murder them?"

The ghost let out a light laugh again. Her laugh was pleasant, like pearls falling onto a jade plate. But to Qin Sisi’s ears, it was grating.
