Chapter 894: Chapter 894: Selling the Sword

In the previous cohort of graduates, Ye You, Jiu Ge, and Lie Feng had the highest skill in forging, all reaching the level of a Second Level Forgemaster, for which they received rank dals from the Forgemaster Guild.

Achieving three Second Level Forgemasters from one class is considered a very good result for Wu Duo.

However, what depressed him was that these three students, in whom he had placed great hopes, made no progress after graduation. Several years passed, and none of them had advanced in rank or produced any remarkable works.

Later, Ye You, in order to repay his teacher Mo Liu for lifting a curse, promised to diligently practice Alchemy. Wu Duo then knew not to expect Ye You to beco a high-level Forgemaster.

In this new cohort, Wu Duo had not yet identified any particularly outstanding talents, not even Chu Ming, who, like himself, ca from the Jin Gang family; all Chu Ming’s levels in Attribute Magic were diocre.

In fact, all the teachers felt this way; because they recruited students early for special reasons, the quality of this cohort was clearly lower compared to the previous one—where Ye You, Jiu Ge, and Ya Ning had been extraordinarily remarkable.

Wu Duo had been worried that he might not be able to train any Forgemasters in this group, but Qin Sisi’s active expression of interest in forging greatly pleased him.

After the forging class, Qin Sisi spent five hours practicing in the trial tower, then went back to her dorm and forged all her remaining raw iron into longswords.

Looking at those fifteen glittering longswords, she couldn’t stop touching them, feeling a strong sense of accomplishnt.

It was late at night; Qin Sisi yawned and slowly went to bed to rest, knowing that she could sleep in the next day since it was a rest day... and Ye You wouldn’t be visiting anymore.

With thoughts of Ye You, Qin Sisi slowly drifted off into sleep and truly slept until she woke naturally. When she woke up the next day, the sun was already high in the sky.

After washing up, Qin Sisi went to find Xiao ng, hoping Xiao ng would accompany her to the Testing Gold Pavilion. She planned to sell the fifteen longswords she made, and for safety, it would be best if Yun Cheng could join them too.

Xiao ng was naturally happy to accompany her out shopping, but when they arrived at Tianyang Mountain to find Yun Cheng, Chu Ming inford them that Yun Cheng had gone out early in the morning.

Xiao ng asked curiously, "Where did he go? Why didn’t he tell ?"

Chu Ming scratched the back of his head and replied with a silly smile, "I don’t know about that."

Qin Sisi tugged at Xiao ng and said, "Never mind, he probably has sothing he needs to do!"

Xiao ng nodded, took Qin Sisi’s arm crisply and said, "Alright, forget about him. The two of us will be fine. Don’t worry, I’ll protect you."

Qin Sisi couldn’t help but laugh wryly; theoretically, she was a Junior Magic Instructor and Xiao ng was an Interdiate Magic Instructor—so protecting her was not out of the question, but hearing this from Xiao ng’s mouth always felt a bit amusing.

The two set foot on the corridor leading out of Heavenly Magic God’s Castle; tall brick walls rose on both sides, the sky sliced into just a long sliver.

Green vines curled full atop the walls, adding a touch of vitality to the long corridor.

They walked for a long ti before they reached the main street. Stepping suddenly from the quiet corridor to the bustling and lively street felt like entering another world.

While walking, they recalled the route from last ti, stumblingly making their way to the grand entrance of the Testing Gold Pavilion.

Qin Sisi and Xiao ng had just entered when the rotund Fu Liuyou, his face glowing, ca up to greet them with a smile, saying, "Just as I was thinking about the girl aspiring to be a forging master, she appears."

Qin Sisi and Xiao ng exchanged glances with the latter curling her lips while Qin Sisi couldn’t help but smile.

"Mr. Fu, there’s no need for formalities. I promised to collaborate again, so I made sure to return," Qin Sisi stated gently but firmly.

Fu Liuyou chuckled and said, "Miss, keeping a promise shows a person of integrity. I, Fu, am certainly making your acquaintance permanent."

Qin Sisi was left sowhat speechless by the complint; indeed, the rchant’s words were as sweet as honey.

Fu Liuyou, feeling that he had set the atmosphere, turned his small eyes and courteously asked, "About those pieces of raw iron, I wonder if the Miss has used them up?"

Qin Sisi understood what he ant, walked to the counter, flipped her palm, and fifteen shining longswords appeared on the counter.

Fu Liuyou’s eyes lit up. In his eyes, those weren’t just swords, but sparkling spirit stones. Although fewer, they still represented a fortune—a fortune that accumulates over ti.

He, with a belly almost like a pregnant woman’s, quickly moved beside the counter, squinted his little eyes and after thoroughly inspecting them, nodded and said, "Miss’s craftsmanship has improved over the half month. How about, thirty low-grade spirit stones per sword? What do you think?"

Qin Sisi contemplated; the material cost was ten low-grade spirit stones, and even though she was still an apprentice, far from being a First-level Forgemaster, tripling the input wasn’t too bad.

Besides, it was a trade involving only low-grade spirit stones, not worth haggling over for long.

So, she nodded and replied, "Alright, let’s do as Mr. Fu says."

"You are truly straightforward," Fu Liuyou clapped his hands in praise, imdiately called over a servant, and presented four middle-grade spirit stones and fifty low-grade spirit stones to Qin Sisi.

Qin Sisi stored three middle-grade spirit stones into her storage ring and spoke to Fu Liuyou, "Another fifteen pounds of raw iron, please!"

"Right away, right away," Fu Liuyou replied with a joyful expression, signaling the servant to prepare the raw iron for Qin Sisi.

While waiting, Qin Sisi observed the displayed goods and their prices in the Testing Gold Pavilion, this ti discerning so details; the goods displayed outside weren’t particularly expensive.

Qin Sisi recalled the two Thousand-year iron swords she sold there previously, turned to Fu Liuyou and asked, "Mr. Fu, have those two Thousand-year iron swords been sold yet?"

Fu Liuyou responded, "Not yet, to be honest. I hope the Miss won’t mind, to fetch a better price, I’ve sent those iron swords back to the forge."

"Back to the forge?" Qin Sisi seed to understand but asked again, "After the reforging, is their quality similar to those you’d forge directly?"

Fu Liuyou chuckled, shaking his head, and replied, "No, no, no, with the foundations laid by the first forging, I could only slightly enhance their quality, it can’t match the ones I forge directly."

Fu Liuyou, being a Third Level Forgemaster, did possess so skills.

Qin Sisi nodded her head, understanding a bit more; the initial forging of materials seed crucial – if it wasn’t done well, improving the quality further through reforging would be difficult.
