Chapter 892: Chapter 892: All Out Attack
Hearing soone approaching, Li Li stopped playing and turned her head to look at Teacher Yirou and the others.
At the sa ti, Teacher Yirou, Qin Sisi, and Wen Xuan were all looking at the adsorption magic around Li Li. There were butterflies, bees, and so other small flying insects, which was nothing unusual.
What was astonishing was that there was actually an eagle on top of the adsorption magic.
Although it was only a young eagle, its wingspan reached two ters when its wings were spread wide. Its eyes were deep and bright, and even when restrained, it maintained a wild and untad air.
Teacher Yirou counted the number of butterflies caught by the adsorption magic - ten in total, not one more, not one less. Then, with a wave of her hand, she dispelled the adsorption magic.
Li Li took a few steps closer to them, but did not speak.
Teacher Yirou gently said: "You’ve completed your task, so you can finish the class now."
Li Li nodded her head and turned to leave without a word.
Teacher Yirou then knew that this girl didn’t have much interest in Music Magic either, and couldn’t help but sigh.
Wen Xuan approached Teacher Yirou and consoled her in a low voice: "Auntie, don’t worry, I will definitely work hard."
Teacher Yirou looked gloomy, patted Wen Xuan on the shoulder, and said, "In recent years, the power of the ilan Family has been weakening. In the future, you will be the mainstay of the family. You must strive to do well!"
Wen Xuan nodded vigorously, but a trace of conflict flashed in his eyes. He certainly wanted to be the mainstay of the family and protect his loved ones, yet he also knew that aside from Music Magic, his aptitude for other Magic Attributes was quite average.
With only one outstanding Magic skill, he simply couldn’t compete with other families. Wen Xuan sighed inwardly, feeling the weight on his shoulders grow heavier.
Qin Sisi was not very clear about the power distribution among the great families of the Demon Sacred Realm, so she did not interject. Seeing that they had both fallen silent, she stepped forward and said, "Teacher Yirou, I’d like to go see how Xiao ng and the others are doing."
"Alright," Teacher Yirou nodded and said with a forlorn expression, "I don’t know if those little rascals will let
sleep tonight."
The three of them slowly made their way down the mountain path until they reached the clearing near the magic classroom. Five transparent covers were still in place, indicating that the five had not yet completed their tasks for today.
Just like last ti, the five had chosen drums as their instrunts. Following the drumbeat of the hypnotic tune they learned in the last class, they banged away, causing Qin Sisi to frown as she listened.
Xiao ng was earnestly beating the small drum in front of her with two drumsticks, but the snake beside her didn’t seem anywhere close to falling asleep.
Seeing Qin Sisi coming over, Xiao ng quickly raised her eyebrows at her and squinted her eyes, a look of pleading on her face.
Since Teacher Yirou was present, Qin Sisi didn’t dare go up to help right away and instead made a calming gesture to her.
Teacher Yirou walked up to Mr. Chen Song and asked in a soft voice, "How are their performances?"
Chen Song replied with a wry smile, "An Yun managed to hypnotize five snakes, Yun Cheng managed four, Xiao ng and Ya Ling two each, and Chu Ming only one."
Teacher Yirou felt like she had a lump stuck in her throat, unable to swallow or spit it out, and could only heave a deep sigh with a desire to cry but no tears to shed.
Qin Sisi and Wen Xuan exchanged helpless glances, playing a lullaby with the sound of drums was sowhat inappropriate to begin with, let alone the fact they had never been exposed to Music Magic before.
Qin Sisi thought for a mont and suggested to Yi Rou, "Teacher Yirou, how about we switch to a different instrunt for them?"
Yi Rou, also feeling speechless as she listened to the drumming, sighed and said, "Fine, it was my lack of consideration; I thought letting them choose for themselves would an they’d select the instrunts they liked the most. This would make future communication with Music Magic and the instrunts smoother. I didn’t expect their musical foundation to be so poor that they are not suited for this thod at all."
In fact, this wasn’t really Yi Rou’s fault. Under normal enrollnt conditions, students who t the criteria of Heaven Academy would spend a period of ti in Earth Academy being trained in variation attributes, which included the selection of instrunts.
Ye You had allowed Heaven Academy’s recruitnt to take place ahead of schedule for Qin Sisi, so they had never undergone training in variation attributes, and were inevitably clueless when faced with it.
With permission from Teacher Yirou, Qin Sisi and Wen Xuan each approached the five students, persuading them to switch to another instrunt.
Eventually, after recomndations from Qin Sisi and Wen Xuan, Xiao ng chose the hulusi, Yun Cheng followed Xiao ng’s lead in choosing the sa, An Yun picked the kongli xun, Ya Ling chose the ocarina, and Chu Ming selected the harmonica.
Teacher Yirou also gradually cald down under Chen Song’s consoling, and she went one by one in front of the people trapped in the barrier to explain the use and precautions for each instrunt.
Switching to new instrunts ant essentially starting from scratch. The group beca familiar with their new instrunts for a period of ti and then attempted to play lullabies with their new instrunts.
At the beginning, everyone made countless mistakes, but as it is with most things in the world, practice makes perfect. After innurable errors, the five musically inept people finally started to get on the right track and managed to play the lullabies in a halting manner.
Yirou, Chen Song, Qin Sisi, and Wen Xuan moved tirelessly among the five, correcting and guiding their performances.
After their hard work, the five of them eventually completed the task of hypnotizing ten snakes in succession, with An Yun finishing first, followed by Yun Cheng, Xiao ng, and Ya Ling.
By the ti Xiao ng and the others finished, Chu Ming still had two more snakes to hypnotize.
As the night deepened, Yi Rou asked everyone else to go back first, leaving only Chu Ming. She would provide guidance herself.
On the way back to the dormitory, An Yun, Xiao ng, and Yun Cheng expressed their gratitude to Qin Sisi and Wen Xuan. Ya Ling, not wishing to talk to them, deliberately lagged behind.
When they arrived at the junction between Tianyang Mountain and Tianyue Mountain, the group paused to bid each other farewell. Ya Ling glanced at them disdainfully and chose to head up Tianyue Mountain alone.
Qin Sisi exchanged a look with Wen Xuan, and Wen Xuan shrugged helplessly.
Qin Sisi was quite self-aware; she knew that Ya Ling disliked her and didn’t want to impose her presence on soone who was not receptive, so she never approached Ya Ling’s barrier.
But Wen Xuan, with a gentle nature, had guided Ya Ling several tis. Even though Ya Ling had objections to Qin Sisi, it made sense for her to at least thank Wen Xuan.
However, Ya Ling’s attitude made everyone feel it was unreasonable.
Wen Xuan said indifferently, "Alright, let’s all go rest. We have class tomorrow."
After speaking, Wen Xuan walked towards the road leading to Tianyang Mountain, along with An Yun and Yun Cheng.
Yun Cheng exchanged a knowing look with Xiao ng as he left, while An Yun appeared indifferent, casting a seemingly casual glance over Qin Sisi and Xiao ng’s faces, yet the look inexplicably gave Qin Sisi an eerie chill in her heart.
