Chapter 84: Chapter 84 Revenge of the Female Ghost_1

Qin Sisi drew in a sharp breath. The manner of death was indeed too grueso to bear.

Xiao Li continued to ramble on: "Since then, things have beco unsettled here. Small children start crying the mont they enter the train station. Late at night, there were passengers who claid to have seen a white figure drifting past."

A sparkle flickered in Qin Sisi’s eyes. A drifting white figure? Could it be that beautiful ghost?

Qin Sisi once appeased Boss Zheng by saying that she possessed the Yin-Yang Eyes, the ability to see ghosts. However, in reality, she didn’t. Yet, she knew that in this vast world, there are indeed so people with unique eyes that can see into another realm.

As a place bustling with activity, it is certainly possible for the train station to be visited occasionally by soone possessing the Yin-Yang Eyes.

Upon hearing this, Lin Xiaoyu questioned, "If that’s all, shouldn’t it be no big deal? Little kids cry when they are hungry, tired, or sleepy. People can easily have hallucination when they are extrely tired at night..."

Qin Sisi glanced at Lin Xiaoyu. If it were before, she would have thought the sa way. However, now she knows that the world is vast and mysterious, and what humans know is just a tiny portion of it.

Xiao Li imdiately continued, "Young man, if that were all, I wouldn’t even bother ntioning it. The crux of the matter is that in recent years, lives have been lost here. About three or four years ago, late at night, when that train passes, passengers would mysteriously fall off. If they were lucky, they could climb back up before the train started moving. If they were not, they ended up like that girl ten years ago, crushed to pulp under the wheels of the train."

Qin Sisi couldn’t help but feel a shiver down her spine. Xiao Li was just speculating, but Qin Sisi was almost certain that those incidents of people falling onto the tracks must have sothing to do with that beautiful ghost.

Upon further thought, although a pure white dress is a tiless classic, the style of the dress that the beautiful ghost wore did not seem reflective of designs from the past two years. However, if the ghost had died ten years ago, that would make more sense.

Thinking of the beautiful face and refined deanor of the ghost, Qin Sisi could only feel baffled and sentintal. How could such a seemingly graceful woman do such ruthless acts?

Lin Xiaoyu, appearing frightened, stuttered, "Did... Did a lot of people die here before?"

Xiao Li gave Lin Xiaoyu a glare, perhaps still upset over Lin Xiaoyu questioning her story earlier. She paused before saying, "So far, six people have fallen. They were all young n and four of them are dead. You nearly beca the fifth."

The color drained from Lin Xiaoyu’s face.

Lao Li, feeling a sense of discomfort, patted Lin Xiaoyu’s shoulder, comforting him, "Don’t be scared, young man. Those who escape death in a great disaster are bound to have good fortune later."

Qin Sisi looked at Lin Xiaoyu sympathetically and asked Xiao Li, "The other two people, they managed to climb back up after falling in?"

Xiao Li nodded and said, "Yes, one of them was a soldier who might have seen quite a lot and appeared to be ntally stronger and physically fitter. He managed to climb back up. The other seed to have so martial arts training. When he fell, he grabbed onto the door of the train, preventing him from falling all the way. Soone then pulled him back up."

Qin Sisi’s frown lifted slightly. These two n escaped disaster due to both luck and their own qualities; or perhaps, it could be said that their ti had not yet co.

Continuing in her mysterious tone, Xiao Li said, "These two n also claid that they fell because they felt soone pushed them from behind. Yet, when they checked the surveillance footage, no one was near them when they fell."

Qin Sisi’s eyes sparkled. Indeed, no humans were nearby, but a ghost was present.

At this point, Lin Xiaoyu suddenly stood up, and in a sowhat horrified whisper, he said, "Speaking of which, I also felt like soone pushed

from behind."

Upon hearing this, Xiao Li and Lao Li exchanged glances. Xiao Li, looking sowhat self-satisfied, said, "Quite a few people have said the sa. It must not be just an illusion then, right? Hence, everyone is saying that it’s the ghost of the girl who was crushed by the train ten years ago, coming back for a substitute to die in her place."

Lin Xiaoyu sat there dumbfounded, unable to speak.

Lao Li, noticing Lin Xiaoyu’s pale complexion and worried about stirring up trouble, said to Xiao Li, "Alright, stop spreading superstition. Go back to work."

As Lao Li was saying this, he turned and headed back to his work station. Xiao Li made a face, seemingly reluctant, but followed him anyway.

Qin Sisi checked the ti and said to Lin Xiaoyu, "It will be daybreak soon. Check to see if there is a train to Z city during the day. If there is, you should leave as early as possible."

Lin Xiaoyu turned to look at Qin Sisi, and after a mont he said, "Thank you. I realize I do not even know your na. Can you tell ?"

After thinking for a mont, Qin Sisi found no reason not to tell him her na. Sisi perceived that Lin Xiaoyu did not seem like a bad person, so she told him her na.

"Qin Sisi?" Lin Xiaoyu repeated, a gentle smile appearing on his face, "Nice na."

Feeling a bit embarrassed, Qin Sisi returned the smile and said, "Thank you."

Lin Xiaoyu paused before asking, "Qin Sisi, do you believe in the existence of ghosts in this world?"

Qin Sisi was surprised by the question. Before her encounter, she would have naturally said no. However, now, she firmly believes in their existence.

But, how should she answer Lin Xiaoyu now?

With his face so pale, if she says she believes, she might frighten him. Yet, Qin Sisi did not wish to completely contradict her own convictions by denying it either.

In the end, Qin Sisi awkwardly laughed and said, "Believing in them gives them existence, while not believing dispels them."

Lin Xiaoyu nodded, slowly stating, "I used to be a complete skeptic, but now, I have my doubts."

Qin Sisi remained silent for a mont before saying, "Even if ghosts do exist, I believe that ’those who do not wrong others do not fear ghosts knocking on their door at night’. Your ability to turn the tide signifies that you haven’t committed any severe wrongs."

Lin Xiaoyu suddenly laughed, it wasn’t a strained courtesy smile like before, but a warm and hearty one, as if the sun that had been masked by the clouds for a long ti finally broke through, revealing its brilliance again.

Looking at Qin Sisis, Lin Xiaoyu said seriously, "Thank you."

Qin Sisi raised her eyebrows, responding, "You’ve already thanked ."

Lin Xiaoyu shook his head, "That’s different. The first ti was for saving my life. This ti, it’s for saving my mind."

Secretly astounded, Qin Sisi thought his words were not sothing a programr would say. Rather, they felt more philosophical.
