Chapter 82: Chapter 82: Haste Makes Waste_1

Qin Sisi tried to observe and feel her surroundings, but it was like being in a dense fog, with chaos everywhere. She couldn’t see a thing at all.

After a long while, Qin Sisi finally gave an helpless shrug.

"Okay, you can open your eyes now," Ye You softly said.

Qin Sisi opened her eyes in disappointnt, looking at Ye You apologetically.

Ye You chuckled and gently patted Qin Sisi’s head, murmuring, "Don’t rush. You’ve done well just finding the Magic Source."

Qin Sisi pouted, "Are you just trying to comfort ?"

Ye You softly shook his head, "Haste makes waste. You don’t have the foundation of magic, to use magic at will is no simple feat."

Qin Sisi fell silent, feeling a sense of confusion about her future.

Ye You placed a sheet of music in front of her, "Practice this lody first, we’ll take it one step at a ti."

"Okay." Qin Sisi picked up the music sheet and shrugged off her disappointnt with a smile to Ye You.

And so, during the wait for the train, whenever Qin Sisi had so spare ti, she practiced humming the lody, eventually morizing it by heart.

The train was scheduled to arrive around 6pm the third day. After lunch, Qin Sisi started packing, and Ye You reminded her to take a mirror.

Qin Sisi asked curiously, "Why bring a mirror? There will be mirrors in the hotel room."

Ye You explained, "The full moon is approaching, and I need the mirror to manifest my true form. You never know what could happen outside. It’s better to be prepared."

Of course, Qin Sisi wouldn’t forget that on the night of each full moon, Ye You would appear in the mirror at her call, not in his cat form, but as the true Ye You.

Qin Sisi nodded, "Okay, but we still have ten days. I think we should have plenty of ti to get back."

"Just in case," Ye You replied calmly. He had always preferred to be well-prepared. So far, he had been careless once, and it cost him dearly.

"Hmm," Qin Sisi murmured, and packed a small round mirror she used for school into her backpack.

On the day of departure, all Qin Sisi had was a light black sling bag. It kept her essentials: a cell phone, tissues, loose change, and a couple of packets of cookies. The rest, including a change of clothes and toiletries, were stored in Ye You’s Portable Space. Ye You, in his tiny form, could curl up comfortably in the main compartnt of her bag.

When Qin Sisis and Ye You arrived at the train station, she suddenly realized a problem. Pets were not allowed on the train.

Qin Sisi was flustered. What could she do now? Leave Ye You behind? Impossible. But there was also no way the staff would let her bring a cat on board.

The only advice she found online was to hide the pet in her clothing and ensure that it neither made a sound nor caused any other disruptions.

Qin Sisi gritted her teeth and quickly hid Ye You in her clothes in a bathroom.

Luckily, she was slender and had dressed in a loose coat. Letting the small Ye You rest against her was fairly inconspicuous.

From ticket check to boarding the train, Qin Sisi was nervous, afraid that their secret would be discovered. But either due to fortune or careful planning, they made it onto the train safely.

Finally seated in her reserved spot, Qin Sisi let out a quiet sigh of relief.

However, the thought of Ye You, not a real cat but a grown man, so close to her for over seven hours was still overwhelming.

For both Qin Sisi and Ye You, they were stuck in this situation with no good solution and could only endure.

At first, the atmosphere in the carriage was lively, but after one or two hours, most of the people chose to be silent and kept their eyes shut, resting.

Qin Sisi also leaned her head against the window and drifted off, her hands securely clutching her bag.

Despite the sleep not being the best, Qin Sisi ate cookies when she was hungry and got so rest between naps.

Past midnight, they finally reached the desolate station where Qin Sisi needed to disembark.

As expected, it was extrely remote. Glancing around, Qin Sisi noticed that she was the only one getting off at this stop.

Qin Sisi instinctively touched the bulge in her clothes. Drawing a deep breath, she thought, they had finally arrived.

Suddenly, a cold sensation swept over her, sending a chill down her spine.

Qin Sisi instinctively hugged her shoulders, recognizing the feeling. Could it be...?

Turning abruptly, Qin Sisi saw a beautiful young woman standing not far away.

The woman wore a long, flowing white dress that seed to flutter in the breeze. Her face was pretty, with delicate features, and her skin was so pale it was almost transparent, just like a beautifully crafted porcelain doll.

But her eyes looked lost as she stared blankly at the nearing train.

Qin Sisi observed her ghostly figure and the coldness emitting from her, certain that the beautiful woman was a ghost.

Qin Sisi felt a thrill of excitent. She hadn’t expected to make such a discovery on this trip, but it puzzled and saddened her as well, they beautiful woman was such a lonely ghost, wandering this remote train station.

Qin Sisis gestured to Ye You, a signal that sothing was up.

In reality, Ye You had already detected the presence of a ghost based on the change in nearby air flow.

But he was pleased that Qin Sisi had also noticed, signaling her improvent.

The woman ghost seed unaware of Qin Sisi’s attention, continuing to stare blankly at the train.

Just then, a man hurried out from the waiting room, carrying a large black bag.

Since the carriage Qin Sisi had alighted from was closest to the waiting room exit, the man headed straight towards it.

As Qin Sisi glanced at the man approaching, she looked back to the beautiful ghost, whose eyes now showed a hint of malice when he ca into her view.

The woman ghost floated closer to Qin Sisi, right near the train’s entrance.
