Chapter 742: Chapter 742: Multi-Colored Clothes_1
"Child, I understand now," Kui Yong responded loudly, his clothes soaked in sweat. He finally realized the grave mistake he nearly committed, one that could have led to the destruction of their entire clan.
"It’s disappointing that despite my age, my own son who is still in his teens far surpasses ," Pu Chen sighed deeply, his tone filled with regret and frustration.
Kui Yong bowed his head in sha, hurriedly saying, "I have let Father worry for my ignorance. However, even if we support the Prince and that woman, other clans would certainly object, especially those with daughters."
Who wouldn’t long for the position of queen — a position that put one on a pedestal above all others?
Moreover, when one person achieves greatness, all associated with them stand to benefit.
Pu Chen squinted his eyes, a cold huff escaping his lips. He uttered disdainfully, "We can help the Prince, we shall fight against all the clans who oppose him."
The rugged voice, a sound akin to jade hitting stone, sealed the destiny of the Panhu family — a destiny of prosperity and long-standing prestige.
Jing Jing procured many items on the bustling street she returned hurriedly to the Chief Mansion, to the courtyard where Ye You resided.
Yun Wang, who was on guard duty outside the door, hastened to greet Jing Jing upon her return. Together, they walked to the front door.
Yun Wang knocked at the door and inford, "Your highness, Jing Jing is back."
Hearing Yun Wang’s voice, Ye You exchanged a glance with Qin Sisi, opened the door, and let Jing Jing enter.
Jing Jing nodded to Ye You, approached the bed, and after exchanging a few glances with Qin Sisi, greeted with a smile, "Ms. Qin, how do you do."
"Hello," Qin Sisi answered uncomfortably. Under normal circumstances, she should have risen to greet her but she was incapacitated, confined to her bed.
Jing Jing turned to Ye You, and with a teasing smile said, "You should leave now, shouldn’t you?"
A hint of embarrassnt flashed across Ye You’s face. After a slight cough, he replied, "Well, you two can chat. Yun Wang and I have matters to attend to."
With that, Ye You gave Qin Sisi a reassuring look before departing from the room.
Being in a strange environnt and surrounded by unfamiliar faces, Qin Sisi couldn’t help feeling uneasy. She wondered if Ye You’s female classmate, Jing Jing was easy to get along with.
Jing Jing, walked up to Qin Sisi’s bedside, bent over slightly and in a gentle voice said, "I wasn’t sure of your color preferences, so I bought one in every color. You can choose!"
As she said this, Jing Jing, with a twist of her wrist, summoned a large bag into her hand, revealing she too had a storage ring.
Jing Jing placed the bag filled with clothes on the table and took out several garnts in different colors, presenting each of them to Qin Sisi.
The selection included red, yellow, purple, blue, green, black, and white dresses.
After observing for two days, Qin Sisi noticed that the n of the Demon Sacred Realm typically wore trousers with long robes, while the won wore dresses that extended to their ankles, with variations in color, style, and minor embellishnts.
Faced with an array of beautiful, colorful dresses, Qin Sisi was a bit overwheld and indecisive. They all seed enchanting to her.
The red dress was reminiscent of spring blossoms, the yellow of an autumn moon, the blue of a clear sky, the green of lush forests, the white pure and the black mysterious, and the purple represented elegance.
Suddenly, the image of Ye You, dressed in his black attire, looking cool and impeccable, like an elf from the night, crossed her mind.
With this image fresh in her mind, Qin Sisi turned to Jing Jing and confidently said, "I’ll take the black one, thank you."
Jing Jing wasn’t aware of the thoughts running through Qin Sisi’s mind. To her, it didn’t matter which dress Qin Sisi chose.
After confirming Qin Sisi’s choice, Jing Jing pulled out the black dress and placed it on Qin Sisi’s blanket. She put the other dresses back in the bag and then asked, "Would you like a black undergarnt as well?"
"Sure," Qin Sisi confird, her apprehension slowly fading under Jing Jing’s gentle and polite deanor.
Jing Jing pulled out a brand-new black undergarnt and placed it on top of the black dress. Seeing Qin Sisi’s expression, she cautiously added, "Your body hasn’t fully recovered yet, allow
to help you get dressed."
Though Jing Jing was offering help out of pure goodwill, it was a bit embarrassing for her as she and Qin Sisi were essentially strangers
After a slight hesitation and despite her embarrassnt, Qin Sisi agreed to Jing Jing’s offer, as she was worried that dressing could hurt her wounds. Additionally, she wasn’t certain if the local dress code involved so peculiarities. Having soone familiar with these nuances around would provide so comfort.
If Ye You placed such trust in Jing Jing, then she must indeed be trustworthy, right?!
Qin Sisi sat up slowly, pushed off her blanket, and was taken aback by the sight of her slightly healed body.
Her skin from chest to knee wasn’t its usual fair complexion, instead, it was a large patch of deep brown, a grueso sight.
Qin Sisi remained still, her eyes moist. Earlier, when she had brushed her hand over that part of her body, her skin felt smooth. She was under the impression that her skin had healed completely. To see it in this state was beyond horrifying.
Ye You must have seen her like this. Could he accept it?
Upon seeing Qin Sisi’s reaction, Jing Jing quickly understood her distress and imdiately responded, "Don’t be upset, this is just temporary and will heal."
Qin Sisi swiftly raised her head to face Jing Jing, her tone slightly desperate as she asked, "Can it truly recover?"
Jing Jing nodded firmly, cordially adding, "You can be rest assured. I will co over each day to treat you. A month or two at most, and you should be completely healed."
With a sigh of relief, Qin Sisi replied gratefully, "Thank you."
Jing Jing shook her head and with a small smile she said, "No need to thank . Co, let’s get you dressed first."
Qin Sisi took the clothes from Jing Jing. With Jing Jing’s assistance, she managed to get dressed.
Next, Jing Jing took out three pairs of shoes from the big bag on the table and showed them to Qin Sisi — a black pair, a white pair, and a beige pair.
Qin Sisi nodded, and with a slight bend of her lips, replied in a soft voice, "They all look quite nice, I’ll wear the black ones for now!"
Jing Jing put the other pairs away, laughing as she said, "I thought so too, they match quite well with your black dress."
Once Qin Sisi was fully dressed, Jing Jing led her to a mirror in the corner of the room and asked, "Are you satisfied with how you look?"
Looking at her reflection, Qin Sisi noticed that her face was pale. Perhaps it was due to her not eating well in the past few days. Her face seed slightly thinner and her chin a bit pointier.
