Chapter 672: Chapter 672: The Room that Represents Everlasting - Part 1
Qin Sisi gazed at Han Zhenjiang with calm, cold eyes, and said evenly, "What I an, actually you should understand better than I do, shouldn’t you?"
Han Zhenjiang felt as if he had been punched in the chest, causing him to stumble backward a few steps, his eyes starting to glaze over.
He and Luo Wei had been in a relationship since their university days, and had been married for several years. Did Luo Wei truly love him?
Did she love him, or did she love the sculptures?
Did she love him?
Did she love the sculptures?
Did she love him?
Did she love the sculptures?
An intense headache began throbbing at his temples, causing Han Zhenjiang to clutch at his head once more, gasping with both pain and frustration.
As a sportsman in life, he used to be physically active every day. After his death, being trapped motionless in a sculpture, he had little else to do but think, day in and day out. It felt like his brain was going to explode from all the thoughts racing through it.
Qin Sisi took a step forward and said loudly, "Do you want to know the truth? Give
your Soul Power and I will help you solve this mystery."
Han Zhenjiang gradually cald down, staying silent for a long ti before finally making a decision. He croaked out, "Alright, I agree. You have to help
understand what Luo Wei was thinking."
"I can." Qin Sisi responded imdiately.
In fact, she was also very curious about the psychological state of this famous female sculptor. She could faintly sense that Luo Wei’s mind might not entirely align with that of a normal person.
Having made a deal with Han Zhenjiang, Qin Sisi turned to Ye You and asked, "What now? Should we look for Luo Wei? Will we have enough ti?"
Ye You contemplated for a mont before replying, "The sculpture’s destruction will inevitably cause a huge stir tomorrow. It will beco difficult to proceed then. We must complete this tonight."
He pointed towards the cut glass window and further instructed, "Let’s head down from there first and then try to locate the museum’s security guard inside the building. We need to search his mories to find out where Luo Wei lives."
"Alright." Qin Sisi nodded, then turned to Han Zhenjiang and said, "I’ll have to put you away for now, but I’ll release you as soon as we find Luo Wei."
Han Zhenjiang hesitated for a mont, but he agreed.
He had already agreed to give up his Soul Power, so what else did he have to lose at this point?
Ye You lightly raised his claw and swept it towards Han Zhenjiang, pulling him into the Portable Space.
The previous Invisible Bubble had already expired. However, a new one had ford. Ye You assisted Qin Sisi in setting up the new Invisible Bubble. She then summoned the Wings of Rainbow and leaped out of the glassless window.
Falling from more than fifty stories up, the feeling of weightlessness was dizzying. Qin Sisi slowed down her fall, landing smoothly on the ground.
The first floor of this stunning skyscraper housed a high-end supermarket that operated twenty-four hours a day.
Under the camouflage of the Invisible Bubble, Qin Sisi silently entered the skyscraper and took the elevator to the floor where the museum was located.
As she had guessed, there were indeed two security guards at the entrance of the museum, one of whom was the man who had made her purchase a ticket earlier in the day.
It was already past two in the morning and the guards were visibly tired. However, their sense of duty kept them awake and alert.
Ye You raised his claw and projected a faint blue light towards the heads of the two security guards, causing them to sag slightly, instantly dozing off.
Qin Sisi carefully approached them while Ye You hopped down from her shoulder and stood next to the guard she had t during the day. His claw began to glow with a small blue light that he gently touched to the man’s forehead.
After a mont, Ye You retracted his claw and moved on to the other guard, probing his mory as well.
Finally, Ye You hopped back onto Qin Sisi’s shoulder, expressing his disappointnt, "They only know that Luo Wei lives in this building, but they don’t know the specific room number."
Qin Sisi frowned, her expression becoming troubled.
Earlier in the day, when she entered the skyscraper, she had noticed that the lobby had a sign clearly indicating that the hotel occupied the sixth to the thirty-sixth floor.
Given the size of the building, each floor must have at least twenty or more rooms. With thirty floors, that ant hundreds of rooms. Without the exact room number, finding Luo Wei’s would be impossible.
After a mont’s deliberation, Qin Sisi looked up at Ye You and said, "Let’s ask Han Zhenjiang and see if he knows anything."
"Him? He probably won’t know anything!" Ye You was skeptical.
"Let’s just give it a try. What if he does know sothing?" Qin Sisi persuaded. At this point, Han Zhenjiang was their only hope.
If they can’t find Luo Wei’s room, they’ll have to wait till the next day. But they couldn’t predict how the situation would develop by then.
Ye You nodded, raising his claw to release Han Zhenjiang’s spirit from the Portable Space.
Qin Sisi imdiately asked, "Han Zhenjiang, Luo Wei lives in this building, but I can’t find her room number. Do you know which room she might be staying in?"
For all their years as a married couple, Han Zhenjiang was bound to have so insight into Luo Wei’s habits.
Initially, Han Zhenjiang seed puzzled, but after a mont he seed to rember sothing and quickly asked, "Is this the West Leighton Building?"
Qin Sisi nodded, "Yes."
Han Zhenjiang’s eyes brightened as he confidently stated, "If this is the West Leighton Building, then Luo Wei should be staying in room 909. We have stayed here twice before, and she specifically requested this room both tis. She said the number 9 represents an eternal bond, and she wanted to be with
forever."
Upon hearing this, Qin Sisi imdiately said, "Alright, let’s check room 909."
After she finished speaking, Qin Sisi once again slipped into the protection of the Invisible Bubble.
As he saw Qin Sisi and her black cat disappear before his very eyes, Han Zhenjiang was shocked. Even as a ghost, he could hardly believe the incredible power they possessed.
As he was dumbfounded, Qin Sisi’s voice rang out beside him, "Let’s go."
Han Zhenjiang responded with a nod, his spectral form rising as he accompanied Qin Sisi into the elevator and pressed the button for the ninth floor.
They arrived at the door of room 909. Qin Sisi gently turned the doorknob, finding the door locked – not a surprise, considering the late hour.
Ye You raised his claw towards the door lock, releasing a beam of blue light. A faint click could be heard as the lock disengaged.
Qin Sisi knew the lock had been released, and she turned the doorknob smoothly, pushing the door ajar and slowly walking in.
Han Zhenjiang, in his spectral form, followed her in.
Once she had fully entered the room, Qin Sisi carefully shut the door behind her.
When she turned back around, she ca face to face with a white nightgown that elongated all the way down to the floor.
Qin Sisi jumped in fright. She quickly looked up to see the renowned sculptor, Luo Wei, standing rigidly just one ter away, her eyes fixed on the door, unmoving.
