Chapter 65: Chapter 65: The Evil Spirit Appears in the Real World_1
Qin Sisi bit her lip and sighed slightly. When she raised her head again, her eyes were devoid of worry and hesitation, only filled with determination and bravery.
Qin Sisi blinked her twinkling eyes and asked Ye You, "What can I do to help you?"
Ye You pondered and said, "Wear the mahogany bracelet, grasp hold of the Divine Dog’s Fury, stay in a corner and don’t move, protect yourself." Compared to himself, Ye You was more worried about Qin Sisi’s safety.
Qin Sisi knew her magic strength was weak and she would only be a drag on Ye You if she insisted on joining the fray, so she obediently nodded and did as Ye You instructed, standing in a corner by the wall.
Ye You looked deeply at Qin Sisi, then raised his claws, casting a silver glow, setting up a barrier around the house. The barrier was not just to prevent disturbances, but also to keep those not involved safe. He squinted his eyes and a faint purple beam shot from his eyes onto the blood talisman on the lid of the blue and white porcelain container.
The faint red mark beca lighter under the purple beam and after a mont, finally disappeared completely.
Ye You closed his eyes briefly to recall the purple beam, quietly observing the blue and white porcelain container. The blood talisman had been dispelled and the seal on the mana removed. The incredibly evil ghost was due to appear soon.
Qin Sisi was also nervously watching the blue and white porcelain container. Even under Ye You’s instruction, she dared not move her position and could only stare with wide, unblinking eyes at it.
After a while, there was no stir within the porcelain container. Ye You and Qin Sisi exchanged a puzzled look. They were certain a ghost was inside. Could there be another seal besides the blood talisman on the lid?
Ye You decided to shed any hesitation and extended his paw, opening the lid himself. He tipped the container over, pouring out its contents.
A pile of black powder ford a mound on the table. Qin Sisi had listened to Boss Zheng’s explanation and knew what the powder was. Hence, she couldn’t help but feel a chill creep up her spine.
Ye You’s claw gently flattened the mound, as if searching for sothing. Indeed, he found a hard object hidden in the powder. Ye You carefully picked it out from the powder and upon closer inspection, found it to be a little silver bead.
Silver is one of the seven treasures in Buddhism. It can kill bacteria and detoxify, expel ghosts and ward off evil, and it’s not expensive, so it’s widely used among the people.
Ye You stared at the little silver bead, his eyes deep. The ghost had not appeared yet; could it have sothing to do with this silver bead?
Suddenly, without any warning, a cold, eerie wind blew past, scattering the black powder on the table, causing it to drift in all directions.
Ye You sprang to attention, quickly pocketed the silver bead, his purple eyes sharply observing every irregularity in the strange wind.
Qin Sisi’s hair was blown into a ss. She didn’t have the ti to straighten it, but held tightly onto the Divine Dog’s Fury, ready to confront the exceedingly ferocious ghost from the legends.
A burst of arrogant laughter rang out nearby. It was here! Qin Sisi and Ye You tensed up, scanning the vicinity. It sounded close, but they couldn’t see a single shadow.
The laughter was maniacal and unrestrained, causing Qin Sisi to feel as though her blood was churning, and she was barely hanging on. Suddenly, Ye You let out a loud cry that drowned out the laughter. The next second, his small body erupted with a dazzling light that shone in all directions, illuminating the hidden demons and ghosts.
The figure of a burly, dirty man with an unruly beard appeared in the room. The broadsword in his hand shimred with a chilling light under the illumination of Ye You’s silver light. Yet, the blade was sared with broad patches of blood. Drops of blood slid from the blade, falling "drip, drip
