Chapter 619: Chapter 619: The Second Daughter_1

They stuck to the old thod. Knock on the outside door and sneak in when soone cos to open it.

Even if the person was a bit puzzled, they usually wouldn’t think too much since they couldn’t see anything.

After entering, Qin Sisi and Qiu Huxi realized that the house was quite bustling.

In their imagination, only Qiu Huxi’s mother and father should be ho, in a quiet and empty house.

Quickly discovering the bustle at ho, both were taken aback.

Qiu Huxi watched for a mont, then cheerfully said, "It’s Auntie; she and her whole family are here. They probably ca to comfort my mom because they were afraid she would be too sad!"

Seeing her parents had company, Qiu Huxi started feeling better and started introducing Qin Sisi to the seven people in the room.

The bespectacled, bookish-looking one was my father. The one in the beige short-sleeved knitted shirt was my mother. The lady in the purple cheongsam is my aunt. The one in the tracksuit is my uncle.

And two pretty-looking girls and a chubby boy.

The one in the dress is my cousin, two years older than Qiu Huxi. The girl in the white t-shirt and denim shorts is her younger cousin, four years younger than Qiu Huxi. The chubby boy is her cousin.

Qiu Huxi said her uncle was quite patriarchal, so after having two daughters, he had a third child. Luckily, it was a son; otherwise, her aunt might have had to keep having babies.

Mother and auntie were busy in the kitchen, while cousin and younger cousin were helping. Soon, the table was full of delicious food.

Seven people gathered, eating and chatting.

Qiu Huxi also walked over, standing nearby with a smile and tear on her face, watching her relatives.

She wished she could join this happy family feast. This was what she should have treasured and cared for the most. Unfortunately, a montary impulse led to lingering regret.

Standing at the table for a long ti, Qiu Huxi finally understood the reason for Auntie’s visit.

As it turned out, her younger cousin was coming to this city for college. Auntie and Uncle hoped she could stay at Qiu Huxi’s house, so their daughter could have soone to take care of, and her parents would not be so lonely.

The relationship between Qiu Huxi’s mother and aunt was very good. Since Qiu Huxi’s death, her mother had been crying all day, showing minor signs of depression.

Qiu Huxi’s parents were quite welcoming of the idea of this niece moving in, but it inevitably reminded them of their own daughter, which brought sadness along with the welcoming.

However, Qiu Huxi noticed that her cousin did not seem to be very enthusiastic. She seed a bit dissatisfied with her parents’ arrangents.

It was understandable. Just after escaping from the grueling high school, she was just looking forward to letting loose in college, but now she had additional restrictions from Uncle and Auntie.

Speaking objectively, Qiu Huxi felt that if she was in her cousin’s place, she might not be too willing either.

Moreover, though Mom and Auntie got along very well, cousin did not visit with auntie often, probably about once a year on average. So she did not have a close relationship with Qiu Huxi’s parents.

With these thoughts in mind, Qiu Huxi heaved a sigh of frustration and floated back to Qin Sisi. She briefly explained her family’s situation, expressing her worries, "My cousin’s ability to stay with my parents would be a good thing; however, it doesn’t seem like she really wants to, and she is not very close with my parents. I am not sure whether they will get along."

Having learned about Qiu’s situation, Ye You had a quick thought, and owed a few words into Qin Sisi’s ear.

Qin Sisi looked delighted and said to Qiu Huxi, "I have a solution."

"You? What solution do you have?" Qiu Huxi looked suspiciously at Qin Sisi, feeling her troubles were unsolvable.

Qin Sisi said confidently, "We can transfer the part of your brain that manages emotions to your cousin. Then she will generate deep affection for your parents, like you do, as though she were their second daughter. Their future relationship will be very harmonious."

Qiu Huxi was utterly stunned after hearing this, and after a long while, she finally asked in disbelief, "Can it be done like that?"

Qin Sisi nodded confidently, though it was not in herself that she had confidence, but in Ye You.

Qiu Huxi stared at Qin Sisi with a complicated expression for a while, then murmured, "I can’t believe this is possible. I once wanted to face you in a showdown on top of the dormitory. Now that I think about it, it’s kind of funny."

Qin Sisi was both amused and embarrassed. A showdown atop the dormitory? Miss Qiu Huxi sure had a way with words. But could that fight really be considered a showdown?

Qin Sisi smiled and said, "Let’s co back here at night. We’ll get the job done while your cousin is sleeping."

Qiu Huxi nodded, then hesitated before asking, "Can I stay here? I want to spend a bit more ti with them."

After saying it, worried that Qin Sisi would disagree, she quickly added, "Don’t worry, I won’t run away. I will wait for you here."

Qin Sisi exchanged a glance with Ye You and, after a slight pause, said, "Alright. I trust you and I understand your feelings."

After two days of interaction, Qin Sisi found this girl had good character. It was also obvious that she had very deep feelings for her parents and profound guilt. Therefore, Qin Sisi was pretty confident she wouldn’t break her promise and seize the opportunity to escape.

"Thank you." Seeing that Qin Sisi quickly agreed, Qiu Huxi was very grateful.

So, Qiu Huxi was left alone in Qiu’s house, while Qin Sisi returned to her residence with Ye You.

After midnight, a new Invisible Bubble was ford.

Under the concealnt of the Invisible Bubble, Qin Sisi summoned the Wings of Rainbow, and flew back to Qiu Huxi’s house with Ye You.

Qiu Huxi didn’t let Qin Sisi down. When Qin Sisi entered Qiu’s house through the balcony, she was surprised to see Qiu Huxi waiting for her in the living room.

Qin Sisi asked Ye You to withdraw the Invisible Bubble, and she appeared in front of Qiu Huxi.

"You’re here." Qiu Huxi imdiately rushed over, feeling a little excited about what was about to happen.

Qin Sisi nodded, and asked, "Which room is your cousin in? Take

there!"

Qiu Huxi nodded and replied, "She and my older cousin are sleeping in my room, follow ."

Qiu Huxi led the way, taking Qin Sisi to the door of a room.

As a soul, Qiu Huxi directly passed through the door. However, Qin Sisi did not have that ability and carefully turned the doorknob.

Luckily, the two girls inside did not lock the door. Otherwise, they would have had to ask Ye You to open it, potentially making noise and waking soone up, which would have been a problem as several people were staying at Qiu’s house that night.

Qin Sisi walked into the room, and perhaps because the weather was a bit hot, there was a small crack in the curtains. A cool night breeze and a few dim rays of light were coming in.

With that faint light, Qin Sisi could vaguely see two people sleeping on the bed. Presumably, they were Qiu Huxi’s older cousin and younger cousin.
