Chapter 583: Chapter 583: Speaking for the Dead_1

Hearing Ye You’s words, Qin Sisi finally understood that the shards of glass overhead and surrounding them were a barrier that Ye You set up, which she broke through with her Fire Bomb.

She finally shattered Ye You’s barrier, successfully mastering the magic skill of Fire Bomb.

Qin Sisi ran towards Ye You, sweeping him off his feet and twirling him around twice with a big grin on her face. "I am so thrilled!" she exclaid.

Ye You gave a slight cough and replied: "Slow down, I’m getting dizzy from your spinning."

Qin Sisi laughter faded, examining Ye You with piercing eyes, "Really?"

Ye You chuckled and responded softly: "No worries, I’ll spin you back once I’m on my feet again."

By then, how could Qin Sisi not catch on to Ye You’s jesting?

She raised an eyebrow, the mischief apparent in her face, as she reached beneath Ye You’s claws, tickling his soft belly.

Many people are ticklish, I wonder if His Royal Highness is?

Ye You’s body convulsed and in a swift move, he leaped out of Qin Sisi’s arms.

With a mix of laughter and surprise she comnted, "You’re actually ticklish?"

Ye You stood on the couch, a dark look in his eyes, he gritted his teeth and stated, "Qin Sisi, I’m keeping count, I’ll get you back."

Stunned for a mont, Qin Sisi bit her lip and sat down beside Ye You, reaching out to hold his claw gently.

She clearly understood the double entendre in Ye You’s words and her face flushed, as enchanting as a magnificent sunset.

With glowing purple eyes, Ye You stared deeply at Qin Sisi, his gaze growing evermore profound.

The sensation from being tickled was uncomfortable, so he suddenly decided to make Qin Sisi uncomfortable too.

After a few monts of silence, Ye You swiftly leaped up, pinning Qin Sisi on the couch.

A tender kiss fell on her petal-like lips, then trailed down towards her neck.

Spring was nearing its end, the warm weather returned. At the mont, Qin Sisi was only wearing a long-sleeved white t-shirt.

Ye You lifted his claw, revealing his long sharp nails. With a swift scrape on the white shirt, a few rips appeared.

With one more swipe, the t-shirt beca a cardigan, revealing a captivating sight.

"What are you doing?" Qin Sisi panicked. They had shared many intimate monts before, but this ti was crossing a boundary.

Thinking about what was about to happen, Qin Sisi felt numb with anxiety, her breathing becoming more ragged.

Ye You continued to trail kisses down as his claw gripped the edge of her pink lace undergarnt. As he was about to pull it off, a phone ringtone rang in the most inopportune mont.

Ye You paused his movents, his body still lying on hers not budging.

The ringtone kept ringing, seemingly growing more urgent.

Unable to bear it, Qin Sisi pushed Ye You and whispered, "I need to get the phone."

Ye You paused again before releasing Qin Sisi, maybe sothing urgent had co up.

Qin Sisi sat up, shielding her chest with one hand while adjusting the ripped edges of the t-shirt with the other. Then, she picked up her phone.

Sisi slid the caller’s na—Ning Hao—across the screen on her lit phone, "Hello."

Ye You watched Qin Sisi’s back, his heart stirred as he reached out and stroked her long black hair.

Qin Sisi’s voice seeped into his ear.

"At ho....Okay...Call

when you get here."

Soon, Qin Sisi hung up the phone and turned slightly towards Ye You to say, "Ning Hao needs my help with sothing, he will pick

up soon. It sounded pretty urgent from his tone."

"Hmm," Ye You casually responded. Withdrawing his paw that was stroking her hair, he added, "Go get changed!"

With her cheeks flushing, Qin Sisi stole a glance at Ye You, wanting to say sothing but not knowing what.

Ye You looked at her shy figure and laughed lightly, "Go now. We have plenty of ti."

Qin Sisi blushed even more, wrapping her arm around her chest and quickly walked into the bedroom.

She put on a lightweight knit cream top and a long black vest over the top, then went to the bathroom to tidy up her hair.

Just as she finished tidying up, Ning Hao called. It seed he was indeed in a rush.

Qin Sisi took Ye You downstairs and got into Ning Hao’s car parked outside the Tai Neighborhood.

As soon as she sat down, Ning Hao stepped on the gas, the car shot off suddenly.

Under the force of inertia, Qin Sisi lurched forward and turned to look at Ning Hao in alarm. She had ridden in his car before, he drove fast, but it was always smooth. What’s going on today?

Ning Hao felt the investigative gaze from Qin Sisi, he explained in a deep voice, while driving, "One of my colleagues... his girlfriend passed away. I need your help to check if there’s any chance to save her."

"Girlfriend?" Qin Sisi instinctively asked further.

Ning Hao paused before replying, "Actually, she’s more like a fianceé. They went to take wedding photographs today, and the bride was killed at the photo studio."

Qin Sisi gaped in shock. A day ant to be full of romance and sweet nothings turned into tragedy. The pain the man must be experiencing, losing his loved one during such a mont!

Qin Sisi looked at Ye You but didn’t say anything more.

If there was any chance to help, she would certainly try her best. However, she wasn’t sure if it was too late.

Ning Hao drove like lightning towards the hospital, then led Qin Sisi in a hurried jog towards a trauma room where the supposed bride’s body was kept temporarily.

Upon reaching the door, Ning Hao wanted to push the door open, but was stopped by a doctor dressed in a white coat. "Please hold on, sir. You can’t go in," the doctor said.

Ning Hao panted, "The girl that..."

As the words left his mouth, Ning Hao realized that he didn’t know the girl’s na. So, he changed his query, "Is Zhou Hai’s girlfriend in there?"

The doctor’s expression shifted. In a firm voice he replied: "Forensic Doctor Zhou stated that no one is allowed to co in."

Ning Hao pulled out his identification, flashing it before the doctor, and said: "I am a police officer; I need to go in and take a look. Please cooperate."

The doctor was about to reject him again, but Ning Hao’s tone grew more solemn as he said, "I’m good friends with Forensic Doctor Zhou. I’ll only take a quick look. I assure you I won’t disturb the deceased."

Ignoring the doctor’s response, Ning Hao pushed him aside, breaking the untouched silence.

At this point, Qin Sisi wasn’t concerned about politeness, following Ning Hao’s lead and stepping into the room.

Unable to hinder their movents, the doctor followed the pair into the trauma room, fearing they might do sothing unwarranted.

The operating bed inside the room was covered in white, a slim figure lay completely under the white cloth. The body’s shape barely visible through the indent of the cloth laying on top, like a human-shaped tomb.
