Chapter 582: Chapter 582: Brief Encounter_1

Watching Qi Jiaming gradually leaving with the ssenger of Death, Qin Sisi turned to Lan Di and asked, "Can we trust this man?"

Lan Di pondered for a mont before replying: "I’ve dealt with him a few tis. He seems decent enough."

Qin Sisi thought about Qi Jiaming’s request for her help and continued to ask, "He said he has sothing he needs

to help him with, do you know what it is?"

Lan Di shrugged and replied: "I’m not sure, but you don’t need to worry. Since he needs your help, he shouldn’t harm you. I’ll keep an eye on the underworld for you and tell you imdiately about any changes."

Qin Sisi nodded, saying "Thank you".

Lan Di smiled, waved, and floated away.

Seeing Lan Di also leave, Qin Sisi quickly checked the ti on her phone and happily said, "Let’s hurry back, maybe we still have ti."

A glimr of anticipation flashed in Ye You’s eyes as he softly said, "Let’s go. We should stop at the bridgehead. The Invisible Bubble is no longer effective, I will take you back."

Qin Sisi held tightly onto Ye You, they unfurled the Wings of Rainbow and flew to the bridgehead. Once there, she landed and put away her colorful wings. Without the concealnt of the Invisible Bubble, her vibrant wings were too eye-catching.

Ye You drew a silver sphere with his claw above their heads, carrying Qin Sisi back to their dwelling.

As soon as they arrived, Qin Sisi ran to her bedroom to find a white coat.

A few minutes later, Qin Sisi ca out dressed in a casual white sweater and light blue jeans. While her outfit was quite ordinary, it caught Ye You’s eye.

She appeared cold and mysterious in her black clothing but in her white sweater, she seed more refined and lively. Either style effortlessly struck a chord in Ye You’s heart.

As Qin Sisi was fixing her ssy hair, she gave Ye You a sweet smile, warming his heart like a spring breeze.

He gave Qin Sisi a deep look and said, "I’ll wait for you inside."

With that, Ye You turned and walked into the bathroom.

After a slight pause, Qin Sisi followed him in and closed the door.

Two white candles sat quietly on the sink, waiting to serve their unusual purpose.

Qin Sisi picked up a white candle and softly chanted a spell, igniting its wick. She lit the second candle in the sa way and placed the two candles at either end of the mirror on the sink.

Turning off the lights, she positioned herself in front of the mirror. Closing her eyes, she crossed her hands over her chest and quietly counted, "one, two, three..."

After counting to thirteen, she took a deep breath before slowly opening her eyes.

Under the dim candlelight, Ye You’s figure in the mirror stood tall. His black cloak blended into the dark backdrop, and the glittering row of diamonds shone brighter than the stars in the night sky.

The most captivating were Ye You’s eyes, reflecting a depth and tranquility as he looked at Qin Sisi.

Four gazes intwined. Rushing back and hastily eting through the mirror left both slightly breathless. When they finally faced each other, they were unexpectedly speechless.

After a while, Qin Sisi blushed and shyly lowered her head.

But their smiles were as radiant as the morning sun, blooming at the corners of their mouths.

Their eting lasted for half an hour. They whispered sweet nothings, revisited the incident of killing the ssenger of Death, and discussed the ghost they just obtained in their Portable Space. Before they knew it, it’s almost four o’clock in the morning.

The Yang energy was about to rise, and the magic reflecting their true selves in the mirror would soon cease to work.

Though reluctant to part, Qin Sisi didn’t want to seem overly sentintal. Gazing warmly at Ye You in the mirror, she softly said, "It’s fine. We can et again on the next full moon night. And then after three months, you can return."

With a deep look at her, Ye You’s voice was distant yet clear: "Sisi we can really be together soon."

As his words faded, Ye You’s figure started to dissolve, like a cloud of black smoke being scattered by the cool night breeze.

The real Ye You disappeared, and the reflections of Qin Sisi and a black cat returned to the mirror.

Qin Sisi blinked, confirming that Ye You’s real form had indeed disappeared. She sighed, turned on the light, put out the candles, and picked up the black cat from the sink.

Despite being in the early hours of the morning, it was just the start of Qin Sisi and Ye You’s rest.

They woke up at noon, had their al, and Ye You erected a barrier for Qin Sisi to continue practicing the Fireball Technique.

He stopped concocting pills, not because he didn’t want to practice, but because the herbs in their Portable Space were running low. Unable to gather enough ingredients for any kind of pill, he had to stop.

Even though he couldn’t practice magic over the past six months, his Alchemy level had reached a new height.

He used to be indifferent toward Alchemy, he only learned so basics and saw it as a form of logistical support. He thought mastering his magic skills should be enough since true power was the ultimate goal.

But after diligently studying Alchemy over the past half year, he gained new insights. Under certain circumstances, the effects of pills might be far greater than imagined.

If his naturally talented classmates also ignored Alchemy like he used to, he was confident that his Alchemy level was now higher than all of them.

However, when he thought of how they could have made great progress in their practice this past year while he was trapped in a cat’s body and could only stagnate, Ye You was still very frustrated and worried.

Without power, how could he control the masses?

Without sufficient strength, how could he protect Qin Sisi, who was still weak?

While he was lost in thought, a loud noise suddenly sounded in his ears, followed by a crashing sound like shattered glass.

Ye You imdiately looked up to see that the barrier enveloping him and Qin Sisi was full of cracks, which continued to spread and enlarge.

In less than a minute, the entire barrier fell down like shattered glass, but without anything substantial falling down.

The barrier, being a magic skill, automatically vanished when broken.

Watching everything happening before her eyes, Qin Sisi was in a daze, unable to snap out from the shocking scene.

A delighted look flashed in Ye You’s eyes as he observed Qin Sisi’s bewildered expression, causing him to have a wry smile.

He said loudly, "Congratulations, you’ve successfully mastered the Fire Bomb."
