Chapter 57: Chapter 57: A Minor Incident of Resignation_1
Qin Sisi raised her head in shock, "So this person is Xiao Dan’s murderer?"
Ye You nodded, "Yes, and the car he drives."
Da Hua lying on the ground, upon hearing this, sprung up, leaped onto the table, carrying its plump body and hurried to look at the pictures.
Qin Sisi also picked up the pictures and looked at them seriously, her voice filled with anger, "Why did he have to murder Xiao Dan?"
Ye You glanced at Da Hua with a complex expression, his voice was low, "He sexually abused Xiao Dan first, then killed her."
Qin Sisi imdiately turned pale, "What? Xiao Dan was just eight years old!"
Ye You remained silent, eyebrows slightly furrowed.
Qin Sisi grit her teeth, her fists clenching involuntarily, she growled, "He’s nothing more than a beast!"
Ye You stated dispassionately, "Don’t insult beasts, so of them are far better than humans."
Da Hua’s response was even more outrageous. Even though it had suspicions about Xiao Dan’s disappearance for so long, when it heard the truth all at once, it couldn’t help its fury. Its body was shaking, hatred burning in its eyes.
Ye You sensed the change in Da Hua’s emotions and said, "Don’t worry. After we find the culprit, I’ll let you take the matter into your own hands."
Da Hua forced itself to calm down, without uttering a word, it slowly walked to a corner, laying down and burying its head between its paws. Watching its lonely figure, Qin Sisi was filled with imnse sorrow.
Ye You opened the window, murmured a charm, and soon, the five cats that had appeared in the Xiyuan Park ca one after another into Qin Sisi’s house. Ye You gave each of them the sketch he had created. He gave a few instructions that are only understood by cats, and they scampered off, each with the sketch in their mouth.
It was dawn now. Ye You turned to Qin Sisi and said, "You should head to the office in a little while and finalize the details of the resignation."
Qin Sisi was slightly hesitant before she nodded, "Alright."
Seeing that it was almost ti, Qin Sisi went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast, calling Ye You and Da Hua to eat. Ye You didn’t hold back and enjoyed the al while Da Hua remained motionless in its corner.
Qin Sisi asks Ye You to call Da Hua, but Ye You says, "If it doesn’t want to eat, then it won’t."
Qin Sisi glared at Ye You, bringing a porcelain bowl filled with food and set it in front of Da Hua, "Da Hua, you should eat sothing. You need strength to take your revenge."
However, Da Hua still buried its head in its paws, not showing any reaction. Qin Sisi sighed in exasperation and reluctantly left it alone.
After breakfast, Qin Sisi tidied up and left for work, leaving Ye You and Da Hua at ho to await any news.
As Qin Sisi stood in front of her office, a place she had worked in for a year, she felt a certain sense of lancholy. Although there were a few unpleasant mories, most of her colleagues were nice to work with.
She turned and walked into a supermarket not far from the office. She bought a variety of snacks and planned to distribute them to her colleagues after officially resining. It would be a good farewell.
At the office, she exchanged greetings with the early arrivals, then knocked on Yu Ping’s office door with her resignation letter in hand. She was just an ordinary staff mber, and her resignation shouldn’t be a big deal.
Yu Ping’s reaction was as she expected, not showing much surprise. She just raised her eyebrows slightly then tossed the resignation letter onto her desk, rubbing her temples, she began to speak, "As for your resignation, I have no problem. But the month isn’t even half over yet, there are both National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays coming up, and then you took this leave. I honestly don’t know what to do about your salary."
Qin Sisi frowned, her wages for this month were completely gone? With a sense of injustice in her heart, she was about to argue when she saw a ominous dark air hovering over Yu Ping’s brow.
She thought back to the last ti she was scolded in Yu Ping’s office when she took a leave. At that ti, she also saw the black air on Yu Ping’s eyebrows. But when she blinked, it disappeared, so she thought it was just her imagination. Now, is she imagining things again?
Just like the last ti, she blinked hard again. When she looked it yet again, the dark air was still there, hanging between Yu Ping’s eyebrows.
What was going on? Qin Sisi was puzzled and speechless for a mont.
Becoming visibly irritated, Yu Ping tapped on her desk, "Did you understand what I just said?"
Qin Sisi snapped back to reality and promptly replied, "I understood."
"Any problems?" Yu Ping tipped her chin up, looking quite arrogant.
Qin Sisi hesitated for a mont, finally replying, "No problems."
Yu Ping had seed to expect this response and sneered, "You can leave now; I wish you the best in your future endeavors."
Qin Sisi didn’t have the energy to bother about her mockery. She took one thoughtful look at Yu Ping, left her office, but an enormous question mark ford by the black air around her eyebrows kept haunting Qin Sisi.
She went back to her workspace and distributed the snacks she bought from the supermarket to everyone. Along with the snacks, she announced her resignation. Everyone wore a warm smile; they expressed their farewells, well-wishes, and encouragent. It was a pleasant goodbye.
Except for two people.
One was ng Xiaofei. She had an expression of disdain on her face as she tossed a crispy rice snack into her bag with two fingers and said, "I have sothing to do. I’m leaving first." After that, she gracefully headed out, teetering on her 10 cm heels.
The other person was naturally Lin Shan.
When everyone else had left, Lin Shan pulled Qin Sisi aside, looking less than pleased, "What’s going on? Why are you suddenly resigning?"
Qin Sisi knew Lin Shan only had her best interests at heart. Of everyone there, she only considered Lin Shan as her friend. Therefore, she patiently explained, "There are so issues at ho, so I can’t work for now. But don’t worry, I will pay back the money I owe you as soon as possible."
But as she said it, she felt a bit unsure. If she wasn’t working anymore, how would she earn money? It seems like she needed to have a serious discussion with Ye You when she went back.
Lin Shan tapped Qin Sisi’s forehead annoyed, "Don’t play dumb with , you don’t have anyone at ho. What sort of issue can there be?"
Qin Sisi sighed, "What if I was going to find a better job, would that work?"
Lin Shan looked at Qin Sisi suspiciously, "Are you serious?"
Qin Sisi knew Lin Shan’s nature; if things were not clear, Lin Shan won’t let it go. Hence, she lunged a little closer to Lin Shan, gripping her arm, lowered her voice and said, "Let’s forget it. I will tell you the truth, but you have to keep it a secret."
