Chapter 520: Chapter 520 Human Body Candle_1
When Liu Ying opened her eyes again, she was lying on a soft bed, with the concerned smile of her husband Han Zhikun still in her sight.
"Don’t worry, I know everything now. Don’t be afraid; I will always be by your side." Han Zhikun looked at Liu Ying, who had just awoken, gripped her hand tightly, and spoke affectionately.
Liu Ying blinked her eyes and stared blankly at the man beside her pillow, beginning to doubt if all she had seen in his office was just an illusion.
However, soon, Han Zhikun pulled out a bag of lychee, grinning at Liu Ying, "Look what I brought you? Your favorite lychee."
Liu Ying’s expression froze, the red bag of lychee seed like a laughing cold death reaper from hell.
"What’s wrong?" Han Zhikun noticed Liu Ying’s strange expression and asked.
Even though he hid it well, Liu Ying still caught a fleeting tension in his eyes.
It was not an illusion, it was all real, the polite, gentle man in front of her was a devil in a human skin, pushing her step by step into the abyss of death.
Two lines of tears rolled down from Liu Ying’s eyes, forming faint traces of moisture on her pillowcase.
"Darling, don’t cry, I am here, aren’t I? I am a doctor, I will heal you for sure. You are a dical professional; you know that if cancer is treated well, one can live for many more years." Han Zhikun thought Liu Ying was getting emotional because of her illness and comforted her in a soft voice.
Liu Ying sat up, buried her head deep in Han Zhikun’s arms, and silently listened to his strong heartbeat.
Han Zhikun gently patted his wife’s shoulder in accompanint, indulging in the frailty and helplessness of a forrly strong woman.
At an angle he couldn’t see, Liu Ying clenched her teeth, her eyes filled with hatred. Since you have treated
like this, let’s go to hell together!
A few nights later, Liu Ying added a substantial dose of sleeping pills into Han Zhikun’s dinner, causing him to fall into a deep sleep.
Then, she bound Han Zhikun’s hands and feet with a bandage and used tape to seal his mouth and nose.
Liu Ying was completely hopeless regarding this man, her heart filled with deep hatred, the bandage, and tape were tightly wrapped.
Although Han Zhikun woke up in shock, he was unable to break free from the bonds and suffocated to death in the end.
Once she confird Han Zhikun’s death, Liu Ying took out the surgical knife she had prepared earlier, sliced open Han Zhikun’s belly, cut the fat out, mixed part of it with wax blocks, and made a candle.
Her thirty-second birthday was just a few days away. Let Han Zhikun accompany her on this last birthday of hers!
Having told her story, Liu Ying glanced at Qin Sisi and set her gaze back at the dozens of white candles burning on the stool, the shortest candle was almost extinguished, the flickering candlelight seed to be the final evidence of this tragic marriage.
Qin Sisi suddenly rembered Liu Ying saying sothing when she took out the last short candle. "You have really lost weight; even thirty-two candles cannot be made."
She backed away in shock. She had thought that a cancer patient’s heart should be filled with longing for the world, helplessness towards fate, and saddening self-contemplation. It was indeed unexpected. This story without a ghost turned out to be even more bizarre and thrilling than a story teeming with wild ghosts.
Liu Ying did not look at Qin Sisi anymore. She stared at the candlelight in front of her, speaking indifferently, "You can leave now. I will give you three days. If you can bring back the answer I want within three days, I will give you what you want."
Qin Sisi did not say anything else. She knew that Liu Ying, with her character, would certainly keep her word.
She turned around and walked towards the door. It was indeed ti to go. She had already understood the course of the entire incident. Now, it was ti to see if Lan Di could help them find Han Zhikun’s ghost as soon as possible.
By the ti Qin Sisi and Ye You returned ho, it was almost midnight, they could only wait for another nightfall.
With Qin Sisi’s anticipation, the sun finally set.
Watching the multicolored afterglow, Qin Sisi sighed ruefully, "Why do you think Liu Ying’s husband wanted to harm her?"
Ye You shook his head and replied quietly, "I don’t know."
Even though Ye You had seen many instances of people’s hearts not being enough to fill their desires, he still couldn’t understand why Han Zhikun would beco hostile towards Liu Ying.
Qin Sisi was also extrely puzzled. The couple who, in the eyes of outsiders, appeared to be affectionate had beco each other’s murderers.
Did Han Zhikun fall in love with soone else? Or did Liu Ying do sothing that her husband couldn’t accept?
Qin Sisi shook her head in bewildernt, all of this could only be clarified by finding Han Zhikun.
Midnight arrived as scheduled. Qin Sisi took a deep breath, took a pack of yellow paper from the cabinet, had Ye You infuse it with a trace of spiritual power, then ignited it with fire magic in the northwest corner of the room.
As the black ashes fluttered and flew, Lan Di, who was clad in blue, revealed his shape and swiftly absorbed all the flying ashes around him with a satisfied sigh.
A bright smile curled at the corner of Lan Di’s lips as he looked at Qin Sisi, "Hey! Sisi, it seems like you are looking for
quite a lot these days."
Qin Sisi slightly raised her brows; Lan Di usually said, "long ti no see," now, he was complaining about her frequent visits.
Qin Sisi rolled her eyes and teased, "What, am I disturbing your world with Pei Pei?"
Lan Di laughed out loud, responding, "We are Ghost Immortals, endowed with eternal spiritual life, we are not afraid of being disturbed, on the other hand, you and your black cat, well..."
"What do you an?" Qin Sisi eyed Lan Di displeasedly.
Before Lan Di could answer, Ye You coldly interjected, "Just with your mouth, before I die, I will definitely make your ghost scatter."
"Cough, cough...." Lan Di coughed awkwardly, quickly changing the topic, "I’m just joking, ha ha, what did you need
for?"
Ignoring him, Qin Sisi handed Lan Di a paper with Han Zhikun’s birth date and ti of death written on it, saying, "Help
find this ghost, I have so words to tell him."
Lan Di took the note and read it. The information on it was clear and detailed; he nodded satisfactorily, thought for a mont and then said, "It’s not difficult to find him, but I can’t guarantee you will be able to speak to him."
"Why?" Qin Sisi asked, puzzled.
Lan Di shrugged, "If this spirit remains in the human world and has fallen into the Ghost Path, then you can find him and speak to him. However, if he has gone to the underworld, it could be a problem."
Qin Sisi’s heart suddenly sank. Of course, if Han Zhikun’s spirit had already followed the ssenger of Death to the underworld, how could she, a living being, see him?
