Chapter 500: Chapter 500 The Captain in Pieces_1
Qin Sisi really didn’t want to fight. She would much prefer to resolve the situation peacefully, but the dire circumstances left her with no other options.
Qin Sisi raised the Divine Dog’s Fury and swung it hard towards the beheaded ghost that was attacking her.
The Divine Artifact naturally had the power to slay demons and evil. The force it exerted made even the ghost aware of its formidable threat, prompting it to quickly dodge.
However, unlike a solid weapon, a long whip was weaker in attack power, but had a larger range. The beheaded ghost facing Qin Sisi directly failed to dodge the Divine Dog’s Fury and was struck in the chest by the black long whip.
Following a quick, brief shriek, before Qin Sisi could even react, it seed as though a black fla ignited in the ghost’s chest. This instantaneously transford the ghost’s entire body into a wisp of black smoke.
Only then did Qin Sisi rember that Ye You had previously undone the spell suppressing the spiritual power of the Divine Dog’s Fury to deal with Mo Long. Now, the Divine Dog’s Fury held enough power to easily eradicate a ghost.
Qin Sisi couldn’t help but feel a sense of regret, knowing she’d just lost a source of Soul Power.
While Qin Sisi was dealing with the ghost in front of her, Ye You turned to confront the two ghosts behind her. With a casual flick of his Flas of Ziwei Heaven-imbued claw, a cluster of purple flas flew towards one of the ghosts.
The Flas of Ziwei Heaven were dim and produced no heat, so the ghost did not perceive the danger and failed to dodge.
In the next second, the purple fla engulfed the ghost’s body. After a piercing wail, the ghost dissolved into black smoke, leaving no trace behind.
First, establish your dominance.
Ye You knew that despite facing five ghosts, dealing with such deeply malicious entities would be hard unless he demonstrated his true abilities. He wouldn’t get them to willingly offer their Soul Power.
He, therefore, decided to make an example by disposing of one ghost first.
As the Ziwei Heaven Fire eliminated one ghost, Ye You swung his Vajra Bundling Spirit Rope with his other claw, binding the remaining ghost. He then swiftly raised and dropped his claw, directing the Spirit Rope to follow his motion – first lifting and then dropping.
The bound ghost was lifted high into the air, then heavily dropped onto the ground, releasing a dull groan.
The remaining three ghosts were taken aback by how easily two of their companions had fallen.
One of them was already bound by the Vajra Bundling Spirit Rope, lying weakly on the floor and seemingly out of the fight, while the remaining two had halted their attacks temporarily.
The Ghost Ship appeared every thirteenth day of the month. Although it had been discovered before, no one who had boarded the Ghost Ship had managed to leave it alive nor fought back against them.
After successfully eliminating their ghosts, Qin Sisi and Ye You stepped back and backed against the wall, staring down the remaining three ghosts.
Seeing that Qin Sisi had also eradicated a ghost and realizing the Divine Dog’s Fury’s suppression spell had been removed, Ye You rembered that he had originally planned to reseal part of the Divine Artifact’s spiritual power after dealing with Mo Long. However, he had forgotten this due to his severe injuries.
Taking advantage of the montary stun of the three ghosts, Ye You extended his claw to grip the sharp end of the Divine Dog’s Fury. He silently chanted a spell, summoning the internal magic power within his body.
A faint wisp of black smoke slowly wrapped around the black long whip of the Divine Dog’s Fury. After the smoke dissipated, the color of the Divine Dog’s Fury seed to have dimd a bit.
Engrossed in the fight, Qin Sisi hadn’t noticed the change in the Divine Dog’s Fury. Now, as she witnessed Ye You sealing the spectral power of the Divine Dog’s Fury, she realized the change on careful observation.
After the sealing was complete, Ye You nodded to Qin Sisi, and they turned together to face the remaining three ghosts.
Qin Sisi glanced at each of the three ghosts and loudly declared, "I didn’t co here to fight, but to negotiate a deal."
The ghosts exchanged glances before doing sothing utterly baffling. They removed their heads and placed them on the floor, then knelt their headless bodies towards their heads.
The bound ghost also slamd his head on the ground, causing it to fall off, with his body neatly prostrating in front of it.
Seeing such a bizarre spectacle for the first ti, Qin Sisi couldn’t help widening her eyes in confusion as to what these beheaded ghosts were planning.
Just when she was utterly perplexed, the three ghosts suddenly chanted in unison, "Captain, we beg for your presence!"
With the ghost’s loud summoning, black smoke began to emanate from the three skulls on the floor.
Simultaneously, all the bloodstains in the cabin began to rise, condensing towards the black smoke.
The black smoke intertwined with the red glow of the blood, finally forming an impressively tall figure.
Naturally, this was also a ghost. As soon as the ghost, referred to as the "Captain," appeared, Qin Sisi felt a formidable pressure emanating from the dense Yin energy. This indicated that the spectral power of the Captain was significantly potent.
However, the Captain looked even more peculiar.
The initial five ghosts had only their heads separated from their bodies, but the Captain’s body was split into eight parts.
These were the head, torso, two arms, two thigh parts, and two lower leg parts, with a gap of about twenty centiters between each limb fragnt.
The Captain’s eight body parts floated in mid-air, looking like a puppet strung together by threads.
Qin Sisi was startled and speechless. Had this ghost died in such a state? So, being chopped into eight pieces really did happen in this world.
The Captain was tall and dressed in black, with a skull symbol, a symbol of pirates, embroidered on his chest. He had shorter hair that wasn’t braided but let loose behind him. He wore a black headscarf.
The Captain, with his fierce and sharp gaze, inspected the cabin and imdiately understood what had occurred upon seeing only three of his n left, one of whom was bound.
His face gradually brimd with anger as he glared at Qin Sisi, bellowing like a large bell, "How audacious! In over a hundred years, no one has ever dared disrespect my ship like this! If you seek death, then I will oblige!"
The Captain waved his hand, and a dense black smoke shaped like a screaming black dragon flew towards Qin Sisi.
He didn’t notice Ye You’s actions and completely ignored the small black cat, seeing only Qin Sisi as the enemy.
"Water Light Shield!" Seeing the black dragon roaringly advancing, Ye You, fearful that Qin Sisi couldn’t bear it, swiftly cast a defensive magic spell in front of Qin Sisi.
The Water Light Shield had a reflective effect, enabling it to reflect attacks weaker than itself.
As a result, the black dragon that the Captain had released was reflected by the Water Light Shield, turning its head and swiftly charging towards the Captain.
