Chapter 473: Chapter 473: The Power of the Blood Covenant_1
Xiao Hei, save !
Xiao Hei, save !!
Xiao Hei, save !!!
Qin Sisi continuously cried out in her mind.
In despair, her only hope was that there might be a telepathic connection between them.
However, it didn’t seem to have any effect.
She watched helplessly as Ye You pulled her body farther and farther away, leaving her behind.
Feeling increasingly weak and exhausted, Qin Sisi eventually succumbed to the sea, closing her eyes and allowing the water to pull her downward...
Suddenly, she was jolted awake by an intense feeling of pain tearing through her body.
When she opened her eyes, she found herself under a cloudy sky, with the moon nowhere to be seen.
She and Ye You were floating on the surface of the icy sea, battered by wave after wave.
Accidentally swallowing a mouthful of the salty and bitter sea water, Qin Sisi began to cough violently.
"Sisi, are you okay?" Ye You anxiously asked, his eyes filled with concern and guilt.
She looked at him dazedly for a mont before asking, "I’m not dead?"
"Of course not. I wouldn’t let you die," Ye You said quietly, wrapping an arm around her neck, "I’m sorry."
"That ghost..." Qin Sisi asked in confusion. She couldn’t rember what had happened, only that a ghost had taken over her body.
"Don’t worry. I’ve captured him. Let’s go ho first," Ye You responded.
After saying this, Ye You clung onto Qin Sisi, channeled his magic, and sprung out of the water.
He then quickly extended his claw and carved a semi-transparent silver sphere that enclosed both of them. Eventually, they safely escaped from the mysterious and eerie sea.
Ye You steered the silver sphere back to their hotel. Upon touching the ground, they both let out sighs of relief.
Their journey to the sea had proven more dangerous than they had initially anticipated.
Even Ye You had nearly been deceived.
Thinking about how Qin Sisi had been weak and unconscious when he had found her, Ye You clenched his teeth in anger and fear.
They had almost lost everything!
Both Qin Sisi and Ye You took turns to have a warm bath, which helped them to relax a bit.
Lying together on the bed, Qin Sisi broke the silence, asking, "How did you find ?"
She couldn’t call for help aloud; she could only cry out in her mind. Was it true that they shared a telepathic connection, or was there sothing else at play?
Ye You stared at Qin Sisi before planting a soft kiss on her pale, cold lips. "Blood Covenant," he said.
"Blood Covenant?" Qin Sisis echoed, looking at Ye You with confusion.
Ye You brushed a strand of hair from her face and placed his fluffy paw on her cheek, trying to warm her up.
After a mont, he gently explained, "It’s because of our Blood Covenant. We exchanged a part of our blood. You are part of
and I am of you. We can communicate telepathically."
Qin Sisi’s eyes brightened. So there was indeed a telepathic connection.
"So, you heard
calling you in my mind?" Even though she had guessed the answer, Qin Sisi wanted to probe further and get a clearer picture.
"Yes," Ye You replied. "I heard it in my mind, then I looked back at you, and although it was your face, I could tell it wasn’t you."
A small smile ford on Qin Sisi’s face. In any case, they had narrowly escaped from the clutches of death; they had survived a great calamity.
"What about that ghost?" she continued, curious to see what kind of ghost could cause them such trouble.
Ye You hesitated for a mont before asking, "Don’t you want to rest first?"
Qin Sisi shook her head as she wrapped her arms around Ye You, sitting up straight, and said determinedly, "Let
see him."
Faced with Qin Sisi’s insistence, Ye You agreed. Raising his paw, he released a huge figure from his palm that heavily hit the floor, causing a large splash of water.
This water ghost was tightly bound by the Vajra Bundling Spirit Rope, rendering it powerless, so Ye You wasn’t worried about it causing trouble.
Those who died of drowning and had their bodies soaked in water for a long ti would usually swell up.
However, if the swelling had happened after death, it wouldn’t affect the appearance of the ghost.
The ghost in front of them had a larger physique than the average person, but it wasn’t exaggerated. Although he looked big, he was not muscular, and his flesh was soft.
From his appearance and clothing, it was apparent that the ghost’s gender was male.
Currently, he lay on the ground unconscious, bound tightly by the Vajra Bundling Spirit Rope. He must have taken a severe beating from Ye You!
Qin Sisi turned to glance at Ye You who casually explained, "I might have been a little too rough. I was in a hurry."
Qin Sisi gave a slight smile, "Let’s wake him up."
Ye You nodded and lifted his claw, emitting a soft, green light that shot at the water ghost’s head.
After a short while, the water ghost slowly opened its eyes.
Looking around at his unfamiliar surroundings, the water ghost seed montarily confused. However, when he saw Qin Sisi and Ye You, he recalled the events and roared out in rage and defiance.
To Qin Sisi and Ye You, it was a close call.
For him, it was also a close call.
Ghosts that died from drowning could not leave the water.
As a result, most of the souls that drowned chose to follow the ssenger of Death to the netherworld.
If they chose to linger as wild ghosts, they would be confined to the icy, damp water, waiting for an opportunity to inhabit a body when soone was on the verge of drowning.
In this way, a water ghost could be resurrected and escape from their predetermined fate.
After his outburst, the water ghost’s face twisted in anger and pain.
How could he accept this? How could he not hate? He had languished in the icy, bitter sea for so many years, and at last, when a chance to be reincarnated presented itself, it had been lost.
He lifted his head to the ceiling and roared, "God, you are unfair! I waited for so many years, why couldn’t you give
a chance?"
Qin Sisi and Ye You exchanged glances. Even though the water ghost was now restrained, thinking about his previous actions still sent a shiver down Qin Sisi’s spine. She decided not to approach him and stay next to Ye You.
She turned to the water ghost and said coldly, "Since you chose to violate the rules of life and death and linger in this world, you should bear this pain. How can you bla God?"
