Chapter 471: Chapter 471 The First Ti Seeing the Ocean_1
Out of his love for her, he agreed to her request of jumping off the building together and accompanied her to the roof of a skyscraper.
But with his love for himself, he chose to pull back and flee after she took her life by leaping from the building.
A bitter smile appeared on Zuo Jiayong’s face. He quietly murmured, "I understand."
Lu Wei was stunned on the spot, wordless.
He had always refused to acknowledge his selfishness. But when the truth was analyzed by others, he found himself lacking the strength to refute.
Zuo Jiayong slowly rose, without casting another glance at Lu Wei. He drifted directly towards Qin Sisi and said, "I have fulfilled my wish. Now, I am willing to give you my soul power."
Qin Sisi asked in surprise, "You don’t have any other demands?"
She initially thought that after figuring things out, Zuo Jiayong would harbor so resentnt towards Lu Wei. Even if he didn’t wish for Lu Wei’s demise, he would likely wish for so form of punishnt.
Unexpectedly, Zuo Jiayong didn’t say a word and directly offered his soul power.
Hearing Qin Sisi’s question, Zuo Jiayong shook his head and replied, "No more. Knowing that he once truly loved
is enough. I am to bla for being blind to it."
Zuo Jiayong’s voice was as soft as before, but his tone was firm, showing his determination.
Qin Sisi sighed and said, "Alright then, I hope in your next life you truly love your existence."
Being blind and failing to recognize people’s character is a mistake most people make.
However, the biggest mistake was to give up life so casually.
Qin Sisi spread her palm towards Ye You. Without hesitation, Ye You lightly tapped her palm with his claw, placing a Spirit Gathering Pill in her hand.
Qin Sisi handed the Spirit Gathering Pill to Zuo Jiayong and explained, "This is a Spirit Gathering Pill. After you consu it, your spirit will re-condense after a hundred years, and then you can reincarnate."
"Thank you." Zuo Jiayong replied calmly, accepting the Spirit Gathering Pill and swallowing it.
Seeing that the ti was ripe, Ye You raised his paw and brought out the Spirit Conversion Bottle.
Zuo Jiayong raised his head slightly, looking at the slowly rotating Spirit Conversion Bottle, which was as white as snow. A liberating smile spread on his face.
His silhouette gradually turned blurry, eventually transforming into a white mist that drifted into the Spirit Conversion Bottle.
Ye You retracted the Spirit Conversion Bottle and nodded at Qin Sisi.
Qin Sisi glanced at the dumbfounded Lu Wei, deliberately walked through the living room, went to the balcony, opened the glass window and jumped down.
Since Zuo Jiayong had no intentions of retaliating against Lu Wei, she didn’t need to ddle unnecessarily.
After all, Zuo Jiayong was the one who had taken his own life so there was no need for Lu Wei to lose his.
"No!"
Seeing Qin Sisi jump out of the window, the scene of Zuo Jiayong’s suicide instantly flashed across his mind. Uncontrollably, he let out a shriek and charged madly towards the balcony.
However, he didn’t hear a massive impact nor did he see Qin Sisi plumting. He looked out of the window and saw only a vast expanse of darkness. Looking down, he saw the flickering neon lights of the city—it felt like none of it had anything to do with him.
Lu Wei stood blankly by the window, suddenly realizing that he had no idea how Qin Sisi and Zuo Jiayong had entered or how they disappeared.
But he had a vague feeling that Zuo Jiayong had truly vanished, never to appear again.
In the many years to follow, he was unable to form intimate relationships with won.
Every ti he tried to get close to another woman, Zuo Jiayong’s face would appear before him—peaceful, sorrowful, disappointed, gazing at him.
His nascent desire would instantly dissipate, leaving his body feeling ice cold.
After leaving Lu Wei’s residence with Ye You, Qin Sisi found herself with nowhere to go.
After getting off the train, they went straight to Lu Wei’s company to keep watch, followed him ho, without checking into a hotel.
The invisibility bubble had worn off. Qin Sisi sat in Ye You’s silver sphere. After pondering for a mont, she asked Ye You to search for a place to land.
In the long night, they couldn’t stay outdoors indefinitely. To better collect soul power, they needed to rest and conserve their energy.
As per Qin Sisi’s instructions, Ye You found a secluded area to descend. Qin Sisi then carried Ye You for a distance until they checked into a hotel.
After a hectic day and night, both were exhausted. They tidied up and collapsed into the bed, sleeping in each other’s arms.
When they woke up the next day, Qin Sisi and Ye You discussed their plans. They had never visited this city before and there might be wandering souls lurking in the corners at night.
So they decided to stay another night and try their luck in the evening.
During the day, apart from al tis, Qin Sisi focused on practicing magic.
With continuous practice, she could feel her control over the Fireball Technique growing more adept.
She thought to herself that once they returned to S City, she should request Ye You to teach her new magic skills.
Night fell again. Qin Sisi had rested for a couple of hours in the afternoon, so she wasn’t tired.
At eleven at night, Qin Sisi, dressed in black clothing and a black hat, left the hotel with Ye You.
In the dark corner of a crossroad, Ye You activated the Invisible Bubble which concealed Qin Sisi’s figure.
"Wings of Rainbow!"
With a gentle shout, a pair of multicolored wings unfolded behind her, instantly dispelling the surrounding darkness.
However, all of this was hidden beneath the Invisible Bubble, invisible to outsiders.
Qin Sisi controlled the Wings of Rainbow to soar into the mid-air. Looking east, she saw a boundless, surging ocean. Looking west, she saw a city filled with high-rise buildings and myriad lights.
"Which way?" Qin Sisi turned to look at Ye You.
"Have you ever seen the sea at night?" Ye You asked softly, rephrasing her question.
Qin Sisi shook her head, "No, this is my first ti seeing the ocean."
"Then let’s head east." Ye You imdiately gave out the direction.
Qin Sisi pursed her lips as she controlled the Wings of Rainbow, flying towards the east.
Soon, they reached a tumultuous sea.
The night sea had bigger waves than the day. Wave after wave of frothy sea water crashed against the beach before swiftly retreating.
The moonlight was at its peak, looking almost full, as its frosty luminescence spilled over the surface of the ocean, resembling a shimring bridge of light leading into the horizon.
Looking at the narratives of the sea’s beauty in various essays, Qin Sisi didn’t find the night sea any more enchanting. The chilly sea breeze and the ceaseless surge of waves made the dark sea seem particularly enigmatic and unpredictable.
Looking at the junction where the night sky t the sea, Qin Sisi only felt her insignificance and reverence for the vast sea itself.
