Chapter 351: Chapter 351: The Fusion of the Devil and the Angel_1
"Make tofu?" Qin Sisi repeated in surprise, never expecting Master Huang to have this skill.
Master Huang explained, "Indeed, I sold tofu before I beca a mage. This is a skill passed down through my family, guaranteeing refreshing, smooth, firm tofu that is guaranteed delicious. I’ve thought about it for a long ti, and I think it’s for the best to return to my old trade."
Qin Sisi nodded, "That sounds good."
It indeed is wise to know oneself and to retreat in the face of difficulties.
Master Huang squeezed out a comical smile from his chubby face and told Qin Sisi, "Well, Master Qin, I won’t disturb you any longer, I’ll be going now! Hopefully, you’ll often get the chance to taste my ho-made tofu."
After saying that, Master Huang turned and ran towards his electric tricycle. After the buzz of the tricycle, he was soon out of sight.
Despite his plump figure, he was able to run quite fast.
Watching the receding figure of Master Huang, Qin Sisi smiled faintly, then lowered her head and asked Ye You: "Shall we remove these peachwood nails now?
Ye You thought for a while and replied, "The sky isn’t dark yet, it’s best to wait until nightfall."
Qin Sisi nodded, looking around the area. Although there were few passersby, they weren’t completely absent. There was a significant chance that soone might notice sothing unusual.
Qin Sisi hesitated and said, "It’s only four o’clock now, wouldn’t us staying here arouse suspicion?"
Ye You also looked around, and said, "We didn’t sleep last night, we should take this ti to rest a bit."
Last night, they followed the concubine ghost to her tomb. By the ti they ca out, it was almost dawn—they had indeed stayed up the entire night.
Qin Sisi exclaid in surprise, "Here?"
Ye You nodded and said, "Yeah, don’t you rember?"
With that, Ye You activated the Invisibility Bubble, concealing the two of them.
Then, using his magical energy, he created a semi-transparent silver sphere that enveloped him and Qin Sisi.
Previously, when they were waiting for the ghost of Qi Xiaoxia to appear at Ding’s Mansion, Qin Sisi had rested inside the silver sphere Ye You had created.
Under the gentle gaze of Ye You, Qin Sisi slowly laid down inside the silver sphere.
It was soft and comfortable.
Ye You nestled next to Qin Sisi, their eyes t, and they smiled faintly before closing their eyes together.
In the chilly wilderness filled with scattered tombs, this small silver sphere was like a paradise in a eerily desolate space.
As nightfall approached, and the two hours of the Invisibility Bubble’s effectiveness wore off, complete darkness descended.
No one would be around the graveyard at this late hour, and the darkness obscured the sight of a man and a cat hovering in the air above a semi-new tomb.
Ti slowly passed, and the eerie midnight hour finally arrived.
Ye You woke Qin Sisi up and dismissed the silver sphere, standing in front of the tomb.
The surrounding darkness exerted a mysterious pressure and instilled fear. Although Ye You’s eyes were perfectly capable of seeing everything around him, Qin Sisi’s vision was greatly impaired.
Ye You glanced at Qin Sisi and saw her expression of anxiety.
Ye You had to use magic to remove the peachwood nails soon and couldn’t just ignite the Ziwei Heaven Fire with his claws. So, he picked up a stick from the ground, lit it with his fire magic, and stuck it in the frozen soil.
The purple fla brightened up Qin Sisi’s sight, and she let out a sigh of relief, looking at Ye You gently.
Ye You surveyed the four small holes left by Master Huang, his gaze stern as he told Qin Sisi, "You should back off, stand behind ."
Qin Sisi looked at Ye You with concern and cautioned, "Be careful."
Ye You nodded, "I know."
Qin Sisi took a few steps backward, positioning herself behind Ye You as he had instructed.
Ye You slowly lifted a paw, silently summoning the magical energy within him to coalesce within the paw.
After a mont, Ye You’s paw radiated a green light which circled around the tomb, precisely covering the four small holes.
"Rise!" Ye You shouted, raising his paw. The green light circle around the tomb was lifted up as well.
Imdiately, there were a few muffled "thud" noises followed by a cloud of dust. Through the remaining dust, Qin Sisi saw that along with the dust, the four, ten centiter long, peachwood nails were lifted up as well.
Ye You’s eyes were deep; he pulled his paw back, and the green light was withdrawn back in his hand. The peachwood nails fell to the ground due to lack of support.
Qin Sisi couldn’t care less about the dust in her face and hurried forward to pick up the four peachwood nails.
As soon as Ye You stopped using his magic, he imdiately told Qin Sisi, "Co back here, stand right by ."
Qin Sisi heard the urgency in Ye You’s voice. Although she didn’t understand why, she rapidly stepped back to his side.
As soon as Qin Sisi had moved so distance away from the tomb, a loud "bang" startled her into taking a step back and she quickly looked toward the source of the noise.
The mound-like tomb was now cracked open, its soil spread in all directions, as if sothing had exploded inside.
While Qin Sisi was grasping the situation, an apparition floated out from the blown open tomb.
Ye You imdiately stepped forward, shielding Qin Sisi behind him.
The figure that floated out of the tomb was naturally a ghost—and a highly aggrieved one at that.
Long hair hung down on both sides of the face revealing an oblong, pale face.
It was difficult to see the pupils of the pair of eyes, only the blue-tinged whites were staring straight at Qin Sisi.
The thin lips were so red they seed almost black, tightly pursed together.
This horrifying ghost, however, wore an elegant dress—a pink, evening-style gown.
The inner layer was of chiffon and the outer layer was made of lace, knee-length, and perfectly fitted at the waist, just enough to hold in the palm of one’s hand.
However, this dress seed a tad skinny on the ghost. As the ghost floated out of the tomb, Qin Sisi noticed the zipper at the back wasn’t fully done up, perhaps the upper part could not be zipped due to the dress being too tight.
This ghost’s head and body seed to belong to two distinct personalities—an unholy fusion of a demon and an angel.
The terrifying visage was enough to make anyone’s scalp prickle.
Yet, its body stood tall and graceful, the pink dress lending it an air of gentleness and romance.
Qin Sisi was curious about this ghost with its starkly contrasting top and bottom. Just as she was about to address it, the ghost suddenly let out a shrill shriek, "Ah—"
The quiet darkness of the night seed to be torn apart, filling the air with desolation and rage.
