Chapter 348: Chapter 348: Live for Yourself_1

Having settled everything for the ghost concubine, Chun Tao lowered her head and softly said, "Rest well, my lady. I shall leave now."

The ghost concubine turned to look at her servant, who had accompanied her for many years. Her lips moved as though she wanted to say sothing but ultimately remained silent, leaving only a long sigh behind.

The concubine’s figure slowly floated up and laid back down into her own coffin, continuing to be a wild ghost in this cold and lonely tomb.

As Chun Tao watched the ghost concubine’s figure disappear into the coffin, she sighed softly and turned to Qin Sisi, saying, "Mage, please take my soul power."

Qin Sisi looked at Chun Tao with pity and asked curiously, "Are you truly content with this?"

Chun Tao paused before softly replying, "There’s no question of contentnt, this is what servants should do."

Qin Sisi was silent for a mont before asking Ye You for a Spirit Gathering Pill. She handed it to Chun Tao and told her, "Take this pill. After a hundred years, your soul will reconstitute and then you can reincarnate."

A look of surprise and disbelief crossed Chun Tao’s face as she asked, "Really? I still have the chance to reincarnate?"

Qin Sisi nodded affirmatively and replied, "Of course."

Chun Tao accepted the Spirit Gathering Pill and, with an excited expression, put it into her mouth and swallowed.

Qin Sisi asked curiously, "It seems like you really want to reincarnate. Then why have you been a wild ghost here for over a hundred years?"

Chun Tao replied somberly, "Because my lady did not want to reincarnate, so naturally, I had to stay with her."

Qin Sisi was stunned. For Chun Tao, her whole life - her entire heart and mind had been filled with only the concubine, never herself.

Qin Sisi spoke softly, "Now she no longer needs you. After a hundred years, your wish can co true."

Chun Tao nodded and gratefully said, "Thank you, Mage."

Qin Sisi looked at Ye You understood her intentions. With a wave of its paw, it brought out the Spirit Conversion Bottle.

The snow-white Spirit Conversion Bottle flew out from Ye You’s hand, slowly rotating in the dim void, summoning the willing ghost soul to reveal its power.

Chun Tao’s figure gradually transford into a cloud of white smoke, slowly rging into the Spirit Conversion Bottle.

Qin Sisi said softly, "Goodbye, miss. I hope that in your next life, you can live for yourself."

With the last word from Qin Sisi, Chun Tao’s ghost completely entered the Spirit Conversion Bottle.

Ye You closed his paw, and the Spirit Conversion Bottle flew back into his hand, disappearing from sight.

The chilly tomb was silent, with only the coffin quietly located there, perhaps for eternity.

Having settled everything and gained another Soul Power, Qin Sisi and Ye You exchanged glances. They knew they needed to leave this place as soon as possible.

Qin Sisi followed the path she had co all the way back, yet after a while, sothing seed wrong.

Looking around, she saw nothing but the identical long underground corridors. Qin Sisi grew nervous and quickly said to Ye You, "Xiao Hei, I think we made a wrong turn."

Ye You looked ahead and behind him before replying in a deep voice, "The paths here all look the sa, making it easy to get lost."

With a hint of urgency, Qin Sisi asked, "What should we do? Will we be lost?"

Ye You calmly replied, "Even Mi Jun and Bai Liang, two ordinary humans, could enter and exit safely. I refuse to believe that we can’t do it too."

Ye You’s assured tone gave Qin Sisi so comfort. She cald herself and said, "I’ll try to walk further ahead then."

"Wait a minute," Ye You stopped Qin Sisi and threw out the Vajra Bundling Spirit Rope. He explained confidently, "I’ll throw this rope to the ground, then we will know which path we have travelled."

Qin Sisi nodded, then asked doubtfully, "Is the Vajra Bundling Spirit Rope long enough?"

Ye You laughed lightly, arrogantly replying, "Of course, it can be as long as it needs to be."

Seeing Ye You’s confident deanor, Qin Sisi continued walking forward. Looking back, she saw the Vajra Bundling Spirit Rope extending a long golden curve behind her.

Mi Jun and Bai Liang used a similar thod, as they had co prepared for tomb raiding.

They brought a long rope with them when they entered. As they proceeded, they would unroll the rope so that they could easily return to the entrance by following it back.

Qin Sisi and Ye You entered more hastily, without giving it much thought, hence they encountered minor troubles when trying to return.

Qin Sisi continued to walk, nonstop, making nurous turns. At each intersection, she saw the Vajra Bundling Spirit Rope, allowing her to avoid retracing her steps.

After walking for quite so ti and making countless turns, the long stairwell finally lood in front of them.

Looking upwards, they could vaguely see a few points of twinkling stars shining in.

Qin Sisi exhaled a sigh of relief. They had finally made it out.

Ye You was emanating a constant flow of soul power through the Vajra Bundling Spirit Rope. He was now perched on Qin Sisi’s shoulder.

Qin Sisi turned her head towards Ye You and stated, "We’ve found the exit. Retrieve the Vajra Bundling Spirit Rope."

"Alright," Ye You responded. He lifted his paw slightly and channeled so magic power. Imdiately the Vajra Bundling Spirit Rope, obedient to its master’s call, hastened towards Ye You’s paw.

On looking from afar, it appeared as though a long snake with a brilliant golden sheen was gyrating its body, flying into Ye You’s paw.

A few minutes later, the Vajra Bundling Spirit Rope, which stretched as far down as the eye could see, was completely retrieved into Ye You’s hand. The last piece flung in the air sharply, drawing an arc of glitter.

Qin Sisi blinked her eyes and pointed to a corner, "There seems to be sothing over there. I saw a flash."

Ye You looked in the direction pointed by Qin Sisi. He narrowed his purple eyes, hopped down from Qin Sisi’s shoulder, and went over to the corner and scratched at the ground with his paw.

The materials used to build the tomb were robust; hence, Ye You’s scratching didn’t have much effect. However, he was able to discern what Qin Sisi had seen flashing.

Ye You’s eyes lit up. He harnessed his magic power and scratched again at the ground.

This ti, Ye You’s paw was as hard as tempered steel. It dug into the ground, which felt as soft as curd. After scratching a small hole, he gripped the shining object and lightly pulled it out. It was a small object shaped like a nail.

Qin Sisi walked over and curiously asked, "What’s this? A nail? Why would it be here?"

Ye You inspected the nail and replied in a deep voice, "This is a Soul Locking Nail. So tombs have these nails hamred into the door of a burial chamber to prevent the dead from leaving and causing trouble."
