Chapter 346: Chapter 346 Flying to the Ancient Tomb_1
Just as Bai Liang was in horror and a state of shock, his parents, having heard the noise, rushed in. Upon seeing Bai Liang collapsed on the ground, they were taken aback and quickly helped him up.
Bai Liang’s distraught state was hardly hidden from his parents, who imdiately began inquiring about what had happened.
Under extre duress, Bai Liang broke his earlier promise of secrecy, revealing that he and Mi Jun had gone tomb raiding.
In addition, he confessed that Mi Jun had suddenly fallen seriously ill and collapsed, but was later treated by a female mage. Bai Liang also confessed about handing over the Luminous Pearl to the mage and about his refusal to part with the jade bracelet. All of this, he told his parents in detail.
The elderlies in the family were more respectful towards spirits.
After hearing his story, both old parents were scared, earnestly advising Bai Liang to return the stolen items from the tomb as soon as possible, warning that it might otherwise bring disaster.
Bai Liang hesitated, considering that the jade bracelet was obviously very valuable and a treasure acquired with difficulty, it seed too much of a loss to just give it away.
Bai Liang’s parents then advised him, " Son, what’s more important, money or life? Without life, what could money do?"
After much contemplation, Bai Liang was finally persuaded by his parents. He called Mi Jun, agreeing to hand over the jade bracelet.
Mi Jun imdiately inford Qin Sisi through Mi Xian and passed Bai Liang the address where Qin Sisi was currently staying, instructing him to go and directly deliver the item.
Neither Bai Liang nor his parents dared to delay any further. They quickly packed up, put on the jade bracelet, and hurried to C City.
In a clean hotel near the station, Bai Liang and his parents found Qin Sisi.
Qin Sisi opened the door and invited the three in. Then she sat down silently watching them, waiting for them to speak first.
Recalling his mockery and sarcasm towards Qin Sisi the previous day, Bai Liang wished he could vanish into thin air.
It was Bai Liang’s mother who finally plucked up the courage to say to Qin Sisi, "Miss, our child is young and ignorant. Please do not mind his thoughtless behavior."
Qin Sisi raised an eyebrow. Young and naive? It seed to her that Bai Liang was older than her by two or three years at least.
Bai Liang’s father took the jade bracelet from Bai Liang’s hand and said directly, "Miss, here is the item you want. Please help us return it to its rightful owner, and we hope she will no longer haunt our child."
Qin Sisi couldn’t be bothered to say much. She took the jade bracelet and said, "Fine, I promise. She will not visit your house again."
"Thank you, Miss," Bai Liang’s father expressed his gratitude and urged Bai Liang and his wife to leave.
Bai Liang stood up hesitantly, casting glances at Qin Sisi.
Considering his harsh words from yesterday, he wondered if he should apologize and express so regret to Qin Sisi.
But this thought barely crossed Bai Liang’s mind before disappearing.
Bai Liang shook his head. The item had been returned, and the ghost would not return. So, everything was back to normal. What was there to apologize for?
He had already lost enough face; why beg for more humiliation?
Bai Liang left the hotel without looking back, followed closely by his parents, who didn’t say anything more.
Watching the three figures disappear at the doorway, Qin Sisi shook her head helplessly.
If Bai Liang had been willing to apologize to her, she would have given him so advice, but alas...
Qin Sisi turned to Ye You, who was lying on the bed, and shrugged her shoulders, saying, "Well, that’s fate."
Ye You said solemnly, "One must pay for one’s mistakes. No one can escape."
Having been drained of substantial Yang energy by the concubine ghost, Bai Liang would lose about ten years off his life span. His health and luck would also be affected, and he might suffer from multiple illnesses and poor wealth in the future.
Qin Sisi placed the Luminous Pearl and the jade bracelet together, then said to Ye You, "Let’s get going, no ti to delay."
Ye You nodded, drew a protective symbol on the forehead of the concubine ghost to shield her from the sunlight, and then took her out of the Portable Space.
Being able to appear in daylight was a novel and exciting experience for the concubine ghost. Her typically lifeless face even showed a hint of a smile.
When she saw the Luminous Pearl and jade bracelet together, the concubine ghost was even more delighted.
Just as she was about to take the two items for herself, Qin Sisi swiftly beat her to it. Looking at the concubine ghost, Qin Sisi said, "I have got back your things. Now, lead us to your tomb to find your servant ghost."
Although the concubine ghost was unwilling to part with her own Soul Power, she had pledged to surrender the soul of her buried companion to Qin Sisi.
The concubine ghost sneered, "We can go, but I fear you won’t be able to keep up with ."
A cold smile tugged at Qin Sisi’s lips, but she still asked patiently, "Exactly how far are we talking?"
The concubine ghost replied casually, "It would be over three hours by car, but for , just over one hour."
Qin Sisi looked at Ye You, and they understood each other’s thoughts.
A little over an hour was within the effective duration of the Invisible Bubble. They could fly there too, without having to take a car.
Qin Sisi stated confidently, "Good, let’s just fly there."
The concubine ghost couldn’t believe her ears. With her gloomy eyes on Qin Sisi, she asked, "You can fly? Are you dreaming?"
Qin Sisi ignored the ghost’s sceptical remark, picking up Ye You and saying, "Let’s go, we need to check out first."
Without paying any more attention to the Concubine ghost, Qin Sisi walked straight out.
She knew that the concubine ghost would follow because her beloved jewellery was still in Qin Sisi’s hands.
Having checked out of the hotel, and paid the bill, Qin Sisi carried Ye You to the road with the concubine ghost following closely behind.
Finding a secluded corner, Ye You created an Invisible Bubble, concealing himself and Qin Sisi.
Qin Sisi then summoned the Wings of Rainbow. The brightly colored wings spread out behind her.
The concubine ghost stood there dumbfounded, wondering why Qin Sisi and her black cat had suddenly disappeared.
"Let’s go, lead the way."
Qin Sisi’s voice suddenly rang out from the side, causing the concubine ghost to jump in fright. Only then did she realize that Qin Sisi had beco invisible.
The concubine ghost was both shocked and amazed. Qin Sisi beca more and more unfathomable in her eyes, possessing nurous remarkable abilities at such a young age. Thankfully, she hadn’t thoroughly offended her.
The concubine ghost cald herself down. Her body slowly floated up, and her azure skirt fluttered in the wind.
After glancing in the direction where the voice was heard, she turned and flew into the distance.
Under the cover of the Invisible Bubble, Qin Sisi, controlling the Wings of Rainbow, followed behind, flying towards the ancient tomb of the concubine ghost.
