Chapter 332: Chapter 332 Magic Notebook_1

The second daughter-in-law had a thunderous voice, screaming like a rattling bamboo tube for a long ti, and finally decided to stop only reluctantly under the persuasion of the crowd.

The man in black lifted Yuan Yuan’s double chin, looking sowhat smugly at Qin Sisi, and said, "Little girl, it’s clear that the ghost is harmful, and I am here to eliminate the trouble for the people. You better step aside!"

Qin Sisi stared coldly at the man in black for a mont, then turned to the old man’s second son, asking coldly, "Are you sure you want to do this?"

The second son’s face was bitter, he stamred twice, but couldn’t bring out the words.

Qin Sisi continued to say word by word, "Your father has passed away. You didn’t take good care of him when he was alive. Are you so reluctant to even burn paper money for him after his death?"

Before the second son could speak, the second daughter-in-law dragged him behind her and shouted at Qin Sisi, "Stay away from my husband, we will invite whichever mage we want. It’s none of your business."

Looking at the silent second son and the shrewish second daughter-in-law, Qin Sisi finally lost all hope and abruptly turned around and quickly walked away.

Ye You glanced at the couple who embarrassed Qin Sisi, and the fat mage in black who thought highly of himself. A cold light flashed across his purple eyes.

After walking so distance, Qin Sisi stopped and looked back, but found that the old man’s ghost has not followed her.

"Xiao Hei, where’s the old man?" Qin Sisi asked anxiously.

She was indeed very angry, but she thought the old man would be even more heartbroken seeing his own son treating him this way.

Thinking of this, Qin Sisi wanted to comfort the old man, but to her surprise, she could not find him.

"I didn’t notice," Ye You replied nonchalantly.

Qin Sisi looked at Ye You anxiously and said, "What should we do? It’s not like we can let the ghost we found with much difficulty just get lost!"

Ye You thought for a while and said, "I guess he’s still on the tomb."

Qin Sisi hesitated and said, "Then let’s go back and look for him."

Deep down, Qin Sisi really didn’t want to see the faces of the old man’s second son and second daughter-in-law again, but for Ye You and for the ghost of the old man, she decided to put up with it.

Ye You stopped her, "Don’t go, maybe he wants to be alone for a while."

Qin Sisi said uncertainly, "But what if he doesn’t co back?" Wouldn’t all the previous efforts have been in vain?

Ye You shook his head and said, "He won’t. He still has his eldest son. Since the eldest son didn’t participate in hamring down the peach-wood nails, there’s still a chance of persuasion. Let’s go back first. The old man might co looking for us later."

Ye You was so confident that Qin Sisi nodded and, holding Ye You, went back to the inn.

The husband and wife who ran the inn looked a little embarrassed when they saw Qin Sisi. After all, it was they who had asked Qin Sisi to help out.

The old woman berated the second son and his wife, and Qin Sisi could tell from her angry face that she was upset because she felt she had lost face, not because of injustice for the old man or because she was worried about the ghost.

Perhaps everyone else shared the sa mindset. As long as the ghost was trapped or exorcised and did not adversely affect their lives, it didn’t really matter to them.

Qin Sisi reluctantly exchanged a few words with the old woman, then went back to her room and locked the door from the inside.

Ye You looked at Qin Sisi’s downcast mood and disappointed expression, blinked his eyes and said, "Since there’s nothing to do, let’s practice magic."

ntioning the practice of magic, Qin Sisi cheered up a bit and nodded, "Okay."

Ye You raised a claw, created a barrier, and placed the wooden stakes in the appropriate position.

Qin Sisi shook her hair and conscientiously put the unpleasant experience just now behind her mind, focusing on practicing magic.

Although the success rate of conjuring a fireball was around eighty percent, the fireball was small and could hardly reach the wooden stake.

Two hours later, not a single fireball had hit the wooden stake.

Just then, the practice was interrupted by a knock on the door. The old woman from the inn called Qin Sisi to eat.

Qin Sisi took a deep breath, and nodded at Ye You.

Ye You removed the barrier and everything in the room returned to normal.

Qin Sisi opened the door thanked the old woman politely, then took Ye You and set off to have dinner in the room of the husband and wife who owned the inn.

After lunch, Qin Sisi and Ye You took a short nap. When they woke up, they continued practicing magic.

She didn’t know if her poor mood affected her performance, but after five hours of practice, the number of fireballs hitting the wooden stakes was zero.

Qin Sisi sighed with frustration and collapsed on the bed staring at the ceiling.

Ye You jumped onto the bed, laid next to her ear and asked, "What are you thinking about?"

Qin Sisi was silent for a mont before saying, "I’m wondering how to help the old man fulfill his wish."

Ye You’s eyes flashed lightly, but he remained silent.

Qin Sisi didn’t notice Ye You’s silence and turned her head to ask him, "What kind of impact will the peach-wood nails have on the old man’s tomb?"

Ye You replied in a low voice, "Generally, during the day, the ghost will hide in its own tomb. If the tomb gets nailed with peach-wood at that ti, the ghost will forever be trapped there, unless the peach-wood decays.

But at that ti, the old man’s ghost was not in the tomb, so those peach-wood nails will not have any effect on him."

A sense of relief washed over Qin Sisi, and she said, "That’s good. Tonight they will continue to have nightmares and suffer from stomach aches and headaches. They will know that the thod of nailing up peach-wood nails is useless and they should follow my suggestions."

Ye You paused and said, "Sisi, there are many things that we cannot control, just let nature take its course."

Qin Sisi looked at Ye You curiously, not understanding his aning.

What does it an to let nature take its course?

How can they help the ghost fulfill its wish without doing anything? How can they willingly give up their soul power?

Looking at Qin Sisi’s confused expression, Ye You decided not to explain further and vaguely said, "Alright, let’s focus on our own things first, and we’ll make a plan after tonight."

Qin Sisi nodded, and asked Ye You to take out the magic notebook she had written from his Portable Space. She then leaned against the bedhead and started reading it carefully.

On the day Ye You was asleep, Qin Sisi had nothing to do. So she put all the magic theory knowledge that Ye You had taught her down on a notebook.

After Ye You woke up and saw this, he praised Qin Sisi for her seriousness and attention to detail, saying she would certainly master magic in the future.

Having received the acknowledgnt and encouragent from Ye You, Qin Sisi gained more confidence. Whenever she had free ti, she would flip through the magic notebook and gain insight from the knowledge contained within.

As the night deepened, the ghost of the old man did not reappear.
