Chapter 32: Chapter 32 Golden Tower Phantom Crystal_1
Lin Shan received a phone call, quickly hung up, and excitedly said to Qin Sisi, "My sister said she is just passing here and will co to pick
up."
Qin Sisi smiled, a bit enviously, "It’s nice to have a sister."
"Indeed." Lin Shan had a joyful look on her face.
Lin Shan’s parents divorced when she was young. She and her sister have been living with their mother. After their mother passed, Lin Shan and her sister have been each other’s only family.
In traditional Eastern families, the older sister is like a second mother. Lin Shan’s sister took special care of her. Although Lin Shan sotis complained about her sister’s nagging, most of the ti, her expression was one of bliss, suggesting her sister deeply cared for her.
Qin Sisi sighed; she resonated with Lin Shan, as they were both orphans. However, Lin Shan was slightly luckier than her.
The two won checked out and left the supermarket. Lin Shan was carrying several bags filled with a variety of items, whereas Qin Sisi only bought a fish.
"Hey, sis." Lin Shan excitedly waved at a figure not far away as soon as she stepped out.
A slender, dium-height woman saw her and walked over with a smile.
Lin Shan said to Qin Sisi, "See her? That’s my sister, Lin Ying."
Qin Sisi nodded, scrutinizing Lin Ying. She seed to be around thirty years old with a neat short haircut. She was wearing a lotus pink knit shirt and a pair of grey linen pants. Her face radiated a mild smile, giving off a warm and comforting vibe.
As Lin Ying approached, Lin Shan linked her arm with Qin Sisi’s and introduced her to Lin Ying, "Sister, this is Qin Sisi, my colleague and good friend."
Lin Ying nodded at Qin Sisi and said with a smile, "Hello, Sisi, Shan Shan has ntioned you before."
Qin Sisi responded with a sweet smile and politely said, "Hello, Sister Ying."
Lin Ying’s eyes fell on the bags Lin Shan was carrying, "Did you buy so much? Then let’s invite Sisi to have dinner with us."
Lin Shan gleefully said, "Great, let’s go, Sisi."
Qin Sisi quickly declined, "No, no, no, I can’t impose."
Lin Shan said, ""What’s there to feel uncomfortable about? Don’t you consider
your friend?"
Knowing it was hard to turn down Lin Shan’s enthusiasm, Qin Sisi reluctantly looked towards Lin Ying and apologized, "I’m really sorry, Sister Ying, but my pet is sick at ho, I need to go back and check on it."
Lin Ying gently said, "If that’s the case, then let’s reschedule, okay Shan Shan?"
Generally, Lin Shan respected Lin Ying’s words. Since Lin Ying said so, she reluctantly let go of Qin Sisi’s arm, muttering grudgingly, "All right, let’s go. Go ho and cuddle your cat."
Qin Sisi responded with a sheepish smile, said goodbye to the sisters, and carried her fish onto a bus to head ho.
On the way, Qin Sisi thought about Lin Shan’s words, "Go ho and cuddle your cat," and felt a bit embarrassed. It seed as if she had clung to him too many tis. The image of the dashing and stern yet mysterious man from the mirror crowded her mind.
Over these past few days, they’ve had so many close encounters. On that first night she brought him ho, he’d been soaked in the rain, she even stripped naked in front of him... thinking about this, Qin Sisi felt sowhat humiliated, her fair cheeks flushing brightly.
Upon opening the door and seeing Ye You’s small body quietly lying on the bed, Qin Sisi’s apprehensive heart finally relaxed. Even she hadn’t noticed when her feeling of emptiness had been replaced by tranquility and joy.
"Xiao Hei," Qin Sisi walked to the bedside, softly calling out.
Ye You lifted his head; there were complex emotions in his purple eyes. "You..." Ye You opened his mouth to speak, but swallowed his words. Given his current situation, what right did he have to question her whereabouts and interfere in her life?
Qin Sisi dangled the plastic bag with the fish in it before Ye You, saying, "I bought a fish. Do you like eating fish?"
A spark of excitent flashed in Ye You’s eyes; he seed more lively. So, she had gone out to buy a fish. Ye You gazed into Qin Sisi’s eyes that were as brilliant and radiant as a constellation. Their bright, hopeful light seed to dispel the darkness in his heart.
Ye You smiled softly in his heart, answering loudly, "I like it."
Qin Sisi smiled brightly and said, "Well, I’ll go prepare it."
After saying that, she walked into the kitchen with a light step and began to skillfully process the fish. After so thought, Qin Sisi figured that since the al was to help Ye You recuperate, the flavour shouldn’t be too rich. She finally decided to cook it in a clear stew, which would retain the original flavor and provide soup to drink.
Qin Sisi was quite skilled in cooking. Before long, the mouth-watering aroma of the fish stew had filled the room. By the ti the porcelain plate holding the whole fish was brought to the table, both Ye You and Sisi found their mouths watering.
In the end, a person and a cat cleanly devoured the entire fish, licking their lips with satisfaction.
A sense of satisfaction welled up in Qin Sisi’s heart. Life shared with soone else seed more like a ho—warm and caring.
Ye You fell silent for a mont before suddenly saying, "Sisi, if there’s a chance in the future, I’ll cook for you."
Upon hearing these words, Qin Sisi’s heart felt like it was swinging on a swing. After a mont, she managed to mutter a low, "Okay."
A trace of a smile played on her lips, but there was a hint of worry in her eyes: Ye You belongs to another world. There is no telling what the future holds, will that day co? Maybe it will, maybe it won’t. But she hoped it would.
After cleaning up the kitchen and dining table, Qin Sisi sat down next to Ye You, took out the Golden Tower Phantom Crystal given to her by Master Hong Bo, and asked, "What’s so special about this?"
Ye You replied, "Phantom Crystals are already extrely rare, and the Golden Tower Phantom Crystal is one in a million. The golden pagoda inside the crystal can resonate with the Sun, absorbing the Yang energy from it and then pass it on to the wearer. You once were tornted by a ghost, so your body is low on Yang energy. This crystal is perfect for you."
Qin Sisi’s mouth fell open in amazent, "That’s amazing! But such a tily gift from Master Hong Bo, he really is not ordinary."
Ye You chuckled, "An old ghost who has survived for over a thousand years is certainly not ordinary."
Curious, Qin Sisi asked, "Ghosts... can exist for that long? Isn’t that even better than being human?"
Ye You shook his head and explained, "No, the ordinary ghosts are either brought away by the ssenger of Death, or tad by a mage in the mortal world, or swallowed by stronger beings. Those who can survive for a thousand years are really few and far between. Master Hong Bo must have been quite a character when he was alive."
Qin Sisi nodded thoughtfully. It turned out that there are rules for humans and there are rules for ghosts. In any world, one couldn’t simply do as one wishes.
