Chapter 303: Chapter 303 Haunted House Ghost Shadow_1

Upon hearing this, Qin Sisi couldn’t help but ask: "When you went to that mansion, did you sense anything wrong?"

Boss Zheng shook his head and replied: "No, the freshly renovated house was bright and new, I did not notice anything peculiar, or perhaps I just lack the keen sense needed."

Qin Sisi hurriedly interjected, "Oh, Uncle Zheng, you’re being too modest."

Boss Zheng gave a self-deprecating chuckle and continued with his story.

Half a month later, a certain Mr. Ding ca to Ju Ya Zhai, looking for Boss Zheng, claiming that sothing was strange about the house.

Nothing seed amiss during the day, but at night, if he woke up, he could faintly hear the sound of a woman crying.

At first, Mr. Ding thought he was hearing things wrongly and didn’t pay much attention to it.

However, later, Mrs. Ding also ntioned hearing a woman crying in the middle of the night.

But the mansion was in a quiet and remote environnt, with no other residences nearby.

Besides, even if there was soone crying nearby, it wouldn’t be every single night!

The couple started to pay more attention, setting an alarm for midnight. Awoken by the sound of the alarm, the couple would listen closely.

At first, everything was quiet. But after a while, they would indeed hear the sobbing of a woman.

Mr. And Mrs. Ding’s bedroom was on the second floor. Plucking up the courage, they got out of their bed, intending to find the source of the crying.

However, upon reaching the large living room on the first floor, the crying ceased.

They listened attentively for a long ti but couldn’t hear a sound anymore, and eventually resigned to sleep.

The next night, it was the sa as the previous: clear weeping could be heard in the bedroom, but upon reaching the living room, it disappeared.

On the third night, Mr. Ding, tornted by the sound, insisted on searching every room in the mansion, but found nothing.

In the end, Mr. Ding ca to the living room. As he passed a large screen and approached a door disguised as a landscape painting, he felt the temperature here to be slightly lower than the other parts of the house.

He pushed open the door, and once his eyes adapted to the sudden darkness, the staircase leading to the basent ca into view.

It seed that only the basent hadn’t been searched yet.

Mr. Ding turned the basent light on, mustering courage, he prepared to go down.

Mrs. Ding, worried about her husband, followed closely behind him.

With their hands together, they slowly walked down the stairs. Upon reaching the entrance to the basent, they noticed a hefty iron lock on the door, and Mr. Ding realized he didn’t bring the key.

Mr. Ding was still regretting when he suddenly heard a woman crying from inside the basent - the sa sound that haunted their nights.

Mrs. Ding had heard it too and couldn’t help but scream.

Then, the crying inside stopped.

The couple looked at each other, their legs gave way and together they hurried back up the stairs.

Mrs. Ding took the last look back and saw a white shadow flit by the door of the basent.

She was so frightened she almost fainted.

They went back to the living room to rest a while. Mr. Ding wanted to imdiately gather so people and check again but Mrs. Ding, anxious, insisted on waiting until daylight.

Unable to dissuade his wife, Mr. Ding had to patiently wait and they stayed awake till dawn with their eyes wide open.

Early next morning, Mr. Ding called over his driver and a servant who was doing so odd jobs in the yard. Together, they went into the basent with the key in hand.

The basent was a large hall with no embellishnts or partitions, only a few hefty wooden shelves added lavishly.

Reportedly, the previous owner of the mansion loved collections, and these wooden shelves were used to display his collectibles. Mr. Ding saw the high-quality rosewood shelves and decided they might be useful in the future and kept them.

Apart from the empty wooden shelves, there was nothing else in the basent.

Mr. Ding was shocked. The night before, he had clearly heard the crying from the basent. But now there was nothing. Where did the nightly crying co from?

The small group left the basent, all of them on edge.

Mr. Ding hadn’t been in S City long, so he didn’t know many people. After a long period of consideration, he decided to ask for Boss Zheng’s help.

Being self-aware, Boss Zheng knew he could value antiques and paintings and had so knowledge of Yin-Yang Fengshui but when it cos to exorcising ghosts, he admitted he was lacking.

Hence, he thought of Qin Sisi.

The fierce ghost in the blue and white porcelain vase was easily subdued by Qin Sisi. That indicated that Qin Sisi, and her master standing behind her, were not ordinary people.

After hearing Boss Zheng’s story, Qin Sisi lowered her gaze to et Ye You’s eyes.

If Mr. Ding’s account was true without any exaggeration, then the ghost in the mansion could very well exist.

Qin Sisi thought for a mont and asked, "Did Mr. Ding ntion any strange occurrences in his house, apart from the crying?"

Boss Zheng responded in a low voice: "He didn’t ntion anything of that sort, and I have no idea. But don’t worry, we can ask him in detail after we get there."

Qin Sisi nodded, saying nothing more.

Boss Zheng was rely a ssenger. To determine the facts, she would need to speak directly to the parties involved.

After about an hour of traveling, they finally saw the luxurious cream-colored mansion with a red roof which was nestled between green trees and hills.

There was a security guard at the gate. After Boss Zheng reported his na, they were let through, evidently expected.

Boss Zheng and Qin Sisi got out of the car to find Mr. and Mrs. Ding standing at the entrance to greet them.

Upon seeing Qin Sisi, the couple’s expressions turned a bit strange.

Boss Zheng, with his extensive experience in business, quickly understood the couple’s thoughts and introduced Qin Sisi: "This is Mage Qin Sisi I invited. Although she’s young, she’s highly skilled."

Then, Boss Zheng introduced to Qin Sisi, "This is Mr. And Mrs. Ding."

The Dings were in their early forties, well-dressed, with slight signs of prosperity.

With politeness, Qin Sisi greeted: "Mr. Ding, Mrs. Ding."

Mr. and Mrs. Ding shared a glance, their expressions sowhat disappointnt.

How much could such a young Mage accomplishes?

Typically aren’t such experts old and aged individuals? Or at the very least, shouldn’t they be robust middle-aged people?

But since Boss Zheng had already brought her here, they couldn’t just send her away.

Mr. and Mrs. Ding put on a forced smile and welcod Boss Zheng and Qin Sisi in. When they saw Qin Sisi carrying a black cat in her arms, they felt even more displeased.

How could a young girl who liked to keep pets turn into a master Mage?

The couple had made up their minds - they’ll just put up with Qin Sisi for a while and invite soone more competent after she’s left.

Qin Sisi entered the grand living room of the mansion’s first floor, and it was indeed filled with luxury and grandeur.
