Chapter 27: Chapter 27 Under the Light There is no Shadow, The Visitor is not Human_1
Wang Dashan, who had just had his arms shattered by Qin Sisi’s Divine Dog’s Fury, looked at Qin Sisi with both anger and fear, resentfully making another request: "If you help
kill them both, I will tell you."
Qin Sisi’s expression gradually grew cold. Ye You whispered a few words in her ear, and she nodded slightly, staring coldly at Wang Dashan. Her voice was devoid of any warmth as she replied: "Two choices - either reincarnate in the underworld or dissipate into nothing. Which do you choose?"
Ye You turned his head to look at Qin Sisi with admiration in his eyes. It’s true that she had been a bit timid at first, but she had quickly acclimatized to her role and was performing well.
Now it was Wang Dashan’s turn to wear a complicated expression. He was frightened and confused, frustrated and speechless. All he had wanted was to seek revenge. When he started, he was an insignificant ghost with very little spiritual power, relegated to existence within a virtual body and unable to avenge himself.
Combinations of fortuitous circumstances had led him to cultivate a physical form. In his haste, he ventured out in broad daylight to exact his revenge, despite the danger this posed to his spiritual power. The ceiling fan was about to crash on Wang Juan’s head, but a cat had spoiled the plan. Not only that, two talismans had been attached to him, preventing him from manifesting himself.
That sa night after the talismans had been retracted, Wang Dashan was overjoyed at the prospect of finally having his revenge. However, he had been thwarted again and again by Qin Sisi. Overwheld with lantation for his pitiful fate, he could not understand why Qin Sisi would stand in his way.
Those of good nature do not understand the malice of wrongdoers, and wrongdoers do not understand the faith of the good.
As Wang Dashan was caught in his sorrowful turmoil, the shop door, which had been tightly closed, was suddenly swung open by a gust of wicked wind.
Qin Sisi gasped in surprise and looked over to see a tall figure slowly floating in. The figure was dressed in an ancient gray Taoist robe, his long hair and beard both gray. He wore an expressionless face, his eyes sharp and focused like deep pools. His entire body was shrouded in a thick layer of Yin energy. The horsetail whisk in his hand wavered slightly, void of any celestial aura, only exuding an eerie chill.
No shadow under the lamp; no human has arrived.
With the entrance of this Ghost Taoist, Qin Sisi felt an overwhelming pressure. The chilling air vibration felt as if it could invade her organs, turning her into an eternal ice mummy.
Ye You, his purple eyes gleaming, lightly lifted his paw. A faint ring of golden light radiated from him, warmly enveloping Qin Sisi and warding off the bone-chilling cold.
In an expert’s duel, moves are executed in silence, with no trace left behind.
The newly arrived Ghost Taoist had a flash of surprise in his eyes upon seeing this, but soon regained his calm. He cast a glance at the disheveled Wang Dashan, whose arms were missing, and calmly said, "Wronged ones who can’t rest in death have the right to seek revenge. You have repeatedly prevented this. What is your justification?"
The Ghost Taoist’s eyes were like cold stars as he fixed his gaze on Ye You.
Yes, he was staring at Ye You and not Qin Sisi. With his mana, he could easily tell that Qin Sisi was rely a novice in this field, and Ye You was the true adversary.
Qin Sisi also noticed that the Ghost Taoist was watching Ye You. Anxiety swelling within her, her tightly clenched fists trembled slightly.
There was no sign of relenting in Ye You’s eyes, as he looked straight at the Ghost Taoist before him. In a cold tone, he said, "Wang Dashan was able to practice in such a short ti and form a physical body. I suppose it’s because he received your assistance?"
The Ghost Taoist raised his graying eyebrows, replying in a deep voice, "Correct, I pitied him, so I gave him a Soul-Nurturing Pill to help him cultivate a physical body, to seek revenge and redress his grievances."
The tension in Qin Sisi’s heart intensified. Wang Dashan, as a ghost, was unable to hear Ye You’s words, but this Ghost Taoist could, which ant he was no ordinary ghost.
Unruffled, Ye You continued, "You have been practicing for a thousand years and have detached from worldly concerns, refusing to enter reincarnation. How can you not distinguish between right and wrong, and aid in wrongdoing?"
A flash of light crossed the Ghost Taoist’s eyes, he shouted, "Impudence!" - and with a flick of his whisk, a black mist erupted with a chilling aura, sweeping towards Qin Sisi and Ye You.
Ye You kept his gaze fixed on the nacing black mist. As it approached, he suddenly lifted his paw and traced lightly in the air. A golden light instantly coalesced, forming a shield as solid as an ivy wall.
The black mist collided with the golden light, causing both to swirl together. There was hardly any sound, only the faint "sizzling
