Chapter 162: Chapter 162 Encounter on a Full Moon Night_1

The proprietress looked at Lin Ying, her face filled with a smile, and asked cautiously, "May I ask who are you buying this for?"

Lin Ying lightly stroked the beautiful Embroidered Longevity Shoes and answered, "I’m buying them for myself."

"What?" The proprietress widened her eyes in surprise.

"I’ll take this pair. Could you please pack them up for ?" Lin Ying spoke, her voice faint.

The proprietress looked at Lin Ying strangely, then packed the shoes and handed them over. The two sisters paid for the purchase and left the shop, continuing to stroll around.

Watching them leave, the proprietress hurriedly pulled her husband from behind the shelves and whispered, "A young lady just ca to buy longevity shoes. She said she was buying them for herself. Isn’t that strange?"

As she spoke, she gestured towards Lin Ying and her sister for her husband to see.

The husband craned his neck to take a look and sighed, "It is indeed odd for her to buy them for herself, but it’s also pitiful that such a young girl is stricken with a terminal illness."

The proprietress asked in confusion, "How do you know she has a terminal disease?"

The husband looked at the proprietress speechless, muttered, "Why else would she buy longevity shoes for herself? If she isn’t terminally ill, how would she know she’s going to die? Does she have so sort of foresight? You’re quite dense!"

The proprietress shot a glare at her husband. However, she realized that she had indeed overlooked this aspect and did not bother engaging in an argunt, imrsing herself back into her work instead.

The two sisters, arm in arm, toured around this unique market while chatting, their bright smiles drawing spectators’ attention. Yet, they didn’t pay any mind to it.

After purchasing all the necessary items and wandering for quite a while, the duo felt tired and took a taxi ho.

As usual, Lin Ying prepared dinner while Shan Shan assisted her. In the gradually fading daylight, ti quietly passed, everything seed unchanged.

However, they both knew that these were the final tender monts between them as sisters.

As night fell, the sisters, reluctant to sleep, squeezed on the sa bed, continuing to chat.

From their childhood mories to their parents’ tragic demise, their reminiscences flowed gently like a trickling stream, soothing their wounded hearts.

When the topic of Wei Ruhai ca up, Lin Ying said softly, "Shan Shan, I have never opposed your dating. I just hope that the person you fall in love with can truly bring you happiness."

Tearful, Shan Shan replied in a trembling voice, "I know, sister, I know. It was my foolishness."

The long-standing awkward barrier between them finally vanished amidst their final monts together.

Finally realizing how important you are to , finally understanding the profound love behind your strict teachings and grumpy reprisals, is it too late?

As Lin Ying and Shan Shan embraced each other during their final farewell, Qin Sisi opened her eyes in the darkness.

She turned on the lamp, its soft light pouring across the room.

Yawning, Qin Sisi felt much better after having been busy all day and night.

"Awake?" A clear yet tender voice ca from behind her.

Turning her head, Qin Sisi gave Ye You a sweet smile and whispered, "Of course, there is important business tonight."

It was the fifteenth day of the lunar month, the night of full moon, when the true form of Ye You could be reflected in the mirror.

Ye You’s eyes lost focus for a mont as he saw Qin Sisi’s sleepy yet radiant smile, faltering in his words, "If you’re tired, we can skip it."

Qin Sisi imdiately said, "How can that be? You can only appear once a month in your true form, how can we miss it?"

Ye You chuckled and said, "What’s the difference? After all, we are together every day."

Qin Sisi shook her head and adamantly said, "It’s not the sa, I... I wish to see the real you."

After saying this, Qin Sisi’s face turned a shade of delicate blush.

Ye You’s mood lightened at Qin Sisi’s shy yet firm confession, he replied loudly, "Alright, then I’ll go and wait for you."

Ye You jumped off the bed, strolling in no hurry towards the bathroom.

Knowing Ye You was deliberately avoiding her to give her space to change, Qin Sisi quickly put on the white dress she had prepared beforehand.

As the weather grew colder, the dress she wore for their first eting was no longer suitable. Qin Sisi had specially bought a pure white woolen coat to wear during the full moon nights when she t Ye You.

The slightly loose coat accentuated her petite figure while the large bow knot at the back added a touch of girlish charm.

After getting dressed, Qin Sisi walked into the bathroom with the two candles.

Ye You was already sitting on the sink, silently looking at his own reflection in the mirror. His reflection, of course, was that of a black cat, its purple eyes deep and mysterious.

Having no choice, Qin Sisi glanced a few extra tis at Ye You. Even though he was a cat, there seed to be a hint of nobility in him.

Collecting her thoughts, Qin Sisi placed two candles on both sides of the sink.

A clear and stable voice rang out, "Fire magic, ignite."

Qin Sisi murmured the words, using fire magic to light the two candles, then turning off the light.

In the darkness, the dim light of the candles swayed, casting flickering shadows all around.

Qin Sisi crossed her hands over her chest, closed her eyes, and began to count silently from one to thirteen.

When she opened her eyes, Qin Sisi was neither nervous nor apprehensive, for she was certain that he would appear.

As she expected, Ye You’s real image again appeared in the smooth and clear mirror.

His slightly ssy short hair, the black windbreaker, the diamond-studded buttons, even the shiny wing pattern on his belt, appeared as they once had.

As their eyes t, a warm smile curled up on both of their lips. Compared to the previous ti, it was more familiar and understanding.

However, neither spoke right away, although when Ye You was in his cat form, they had endless conversations.

After eagerly awaiting Ye You’s real form, which only showed once a month, and hold their face-to-face eting, both their faces were bright and cheerful in the anticipation of it. Yet, they suddenly didn’t know what to say.

Unable to bear Ye You’s dazzling gaze any longer, Qin Sisi bashfully lowered her gaze, gently biting her lower lip.

As Ye You watched a few strands of hair fall onto Qin Sisi’s brow, he felt as though a few playful strands were itching his heart.

At last, Ye You broke the silence, his deep and llow voice resonating from the mirror, "What are you thinking about?"

Qin Sisi looked up at Ye You, then lowered her gaze and replied in a quiet voice, "Nothing."

Ye You chuckled lightly and didn’t speak further. He rely looked at Qin Sisi aningfully, his gaze moving from her brow to her leaf-like eyebrows, to her petite nose and tempting lips, and finally coming to rest on her cute, pure white coat.
