Chapter 152: Chapter 152: Sinking the Corpse_1
One minute before the Invisible Bubble ceased to function, Qin Sisi left the nightclub, who settled with Ye You on a bench in front of a flower bed not far from the nightclub, waiting.
It was a harrowing night. It was late November on the solar calendar, and the deep night outdoors carried winter’s coldness.
To stay warm, Qin Sisi wore the cloak that Ye You had given her, which could keep a constant temperature. Although she was no longer cold, the chill in her heart was still hard to dispel.
After a long silence, Qin Sisi suddenly thought of sothing: "The ghost? Xiao Jin is dead, so where did her ghost go?"
There was a flicker in Ye You’s eyes, but it didn’t say anything.
Qin Sisi looked strangely at Ye You, picked it up to her eyes and asked: "Have you sensed Xiao Jin’s ghost?"
Ye You paused for a mont and replied honestly: "Yes."
Qin Sisi jumped to her feet and said anxiously, "Where? Let’s go and find her!"
Ye You shook his head and said: "It’s not the ti."
Qin Sisi asked in confusion: "What do you an?"
Ye You thought for a mont and said: "No need to find, she will appear naturally when she wants to."
Qin Sisi was a bit at loss and opened her mouth. This answer seed a bit... philosophical.
Ye You extended a claw and gently stroked Qin Sisi’s hair, whispering: "Sisi, don’t worry, there will be an outco soon."
Looking at Ye You’s eyes that were as bright as stars, Qin Sisi nodded, not quite understanding, and hugged Ye You tightly, saying no more.
Ye You looked at her tenderly, and didn’t say anything either, just nestling quietly in her arms.
At around three in the morning, a subtle fluctuation in the air mingled with a faintly cold breath perated.
Ye You’s ears twitched, its eyes narrowed, and it quickly wriggled out of Qin Sisi’s arms, onto the ground, and said solemnly: "They’re out, let’s go."
Having said that, Ye You darted towards where the air fluctuation ca from.
Qin Sisi’s face tightened, and she quickly started running, following closely behind Ye You.
The two of them reached the back door of the nightclub and saw a white van speeding away. Behind the van, the ghost of Zhuang Qin was floating in mid-air, following closely.
In the cold silence of the deep night, under the dim light cast by the street lights, the van and Zhuang Qin soon disappeared.
Looking at the direction where the van and Zhuang Qin disappeared, Qin Sisi anxiously asked: "What should we do now? Use the Wings of Rainbow?"
Ye You shook its head and replied: "No, without the Invisible Bubble, we could be discovered. Leave it to ."
Ye You raised his claw quickly, forming a semi-transparent silver sphere that wrapped both him and Qin Sisi, then slowly floated into the air. Under the control of Ye You’s magic, it started chasing in the direction of the van and Zhuang Qin.
Qin Sisi looked at Ye You worriedly, and asked with concern: "Isn’t this kind of magic very draining of spiritual power?"
"I can’t care about that right now."
Ye You replied tersely, continuously pouring magic power into the half-transparent silver sphere, enabling it to speed up.
After a short while, the van and the figure of Zhuang Qin reappeared in their sight.
Qin Sisi sowhat cald down, staring without blinking at the van ahead. She wasn’t quite sure why Zhuang Qin was chasing that van, but she had a feeling that it was sohow related to the deceased waitress, Xiao Jin.
The darkness before dawn was an extre darkness. The dim yellow street lights stood silently on the roadside, the traffic on the road was very sparse, and the van was driving fast, rushing out of the city.
About half an hour later, just as Ye You’s magic power was nearly drained, the van finally ca to a stop.
Both Ye You and Qin Sisi breathed a sigh of relief. If the van had kept going, they probably wouldn’t have been able to keep up.
Qin Sisi looked around. This was the outskirts of the city, where a river happened to flow past.
Two goons jumped out of the van and carried a large wooden box containing Xiao Jin’s body from the back of the van.
The two goons struggled a bit as they carried the large wooden box to the riverbank, and with a shout of "One, two, three," they threw the wooden box into the river.
With a "splash
