Chapter 147: Chapter 147: Tracking_1

At this mont, a woman in her early thirties ran towards the sound of the little boy’s crying, calling out his na anxiously as she ran.

Seeing the little boy covered in dirt, with a clear and swollen palm-print on his fair, delicate face, the woman’s eyes filled with tidal waves of pain and affection.

"Mama!" The little boy, upon seeing the woman, plaintively called out and began to cry anew, his little mouth pursed in grief.

The woman clutched the little boy tightly in her arms and affectionately asked, "What happened, darling? How did you end up here alone? What happened to your face?"

The little boy sobbed in her embrace, stamring, "Soone hit ..."

"Soone hit you? Who did this? Who hit you?" The woman urgently asked, her face displaying a hint of rage.

However, the little boy just cried, unable to articulate what had happened.

As the woman frantically looked around, her gaze landed on Qin Sisi. Hesitating briefly, she asked Qin Sisi, "Miss, did you witness what happened?"

Qin Sisi was just about to tell the woman exactly what happened, but paused on seeing the woman’s cleaner uniform.

Zhou Zichen, being the owner of a trading company in the vicinity, was essentially a wealthy and influential figure in this region. The woman, being of lowly status, might make a scene with Zhou Zichen out of a mother’s love for her child without considering the consequences, possibly making the situation worse.

So, Qin Sisi diplomatically said, "I’m sorry, but I really didn’t see it. I happen to pass by a mont ago and saw him crying on the ground, so I helped him stand up."

"Oh, well, thank you." The woman replied and noticing the candy in the little boy’s hand asked in a soft voice, "Sweetheart, where did this candy co from?"

The little boy lifted his head, his eyes full of fear as he pointed to Qin Sisi.

The woman nodded, gently wiped the tears from the little boy’s face, and standing up, said to Qin Sisi, "Thank you, miss."

Qin Sisi pressed her lips together, "You’re welco. Please keep a closer eye on your child."

The woman sighed and nodded, "Yes, I will pay more attention. I was cleaning nearby and didn’t notice when he wandered off. I can’t believe soone would be so heartless as to hit a small child."

Qin Sisi opened her mouth to respond, but decided not to say anything.

The woman took the little boy by his hand and said to him, "Darling, let’s go ho. Say thank you to the lady, and bid her goodbye."

The little boy, his face still wet from tears, said to Qin Sisi in a small voice, "Thank you, ma’am. Goodbye."

Qin Sisi smiled faintly, responding sympathetically, "Goodbye."

Gradually, the woman led her little boy away.

Watching the mother and son fade into the distance, Qin Sisi felt a sense of profound disquiet. She wondered if she had done the right thing.

anwhile, Ye You reminded Sisi, "We should go find Zhou Zichen now."

Coming back to her senses, Qin Sisi looked worried, saying, "I almost forgot about him. He must have left quite a while ago. I wonder if we can still catch up."

With a flourish of his hand, Ye You pulled up an invisible bubble, which enclosed both him and Qin Sisi. He inford Qin Sisi, "Summon Wings of Rainbow. We should go after him. It’s rush hour now, so he probably isn’t moving very fast."

"Alright." Upon Sisi’s reply, she imdiately summoned Wings of Rainbow. Flapping its colossal, colourful wings, they pursued Zhou Zichen.

After about ten minutes of flight, Qin Sisi saw Zhou Zichen’s ostentatious sports car again. Even the license plate scread opulence.

Thanks to the Invisible Bubble, they were able to follow him through several streets unnoticed.

Qin Sisi thought that Zhou Zichen would likely head ho but, to her surprise, he stopped in front of a nightclub flashing in neon lights.

Watching Zhou Zichen, who seed so at ease in this setting, Qin Sisi felt conflicted. Despite never having been to such places, she could only imagine the glamorous scene inside.

"Lets go inside." Ye You urged.

Qin Sisi turned to him, "Are you sure we should go in?"

"How else would we know what he’s up to?"

"Alright then."

Taking a deep breath, Qin Sisi climbed the steps and pushed open the revolving coffee-colored glass door, stepping into the opulent nightclub.

She could not help but admit, the hostesses in the nightclub were truly gorgeous. All of them wore uniform outfits; tight white blouses with minuscule black mini-skirts, showcasing their perfect figures and long, shapely legs. It was genuinely a feast for the eyes.

As Qin Sisi passed the counter in the center, she caught a glimpse of the dazzling array of wine on display. The prices on the tags were utterly shocking.

"Stay close, don’t lose him." Ye You’s voice rang in her ear in a tily manner.

"Oh." Startled, Qin Sisi quickly regained focus. Seeing Zhou Zichen turn a corner not too far ahead, she hastened her steps to catch up.

Eventually, Qin Sisi followed Zhou Zichen into a private room. In the room were three other n who, on seeing Zhou Zichen enter, treated him like a brother.

Not long after Zhou Zichen sat down, a heavily made-up woman moved closer, coyly pressing herself against him.

To avoid being bumped into, Qin Sisi hid in a narrow corner, carefully watching the group.

All four n, originally clad in impeccable suits, had since removed their coats, with a few buttons of their shirts unfurled.

The conversation indicated that they were discussing business matters, evidently on account of their partnership with Zhou Zichen.

Each man had a scantily clad woman draped around him. Unlike the waitresses outside, these won wore dresses resembling evening gowns, revealing their shoulders and flaunting their cleavage – likely won of special professions.

The n continued drinking and talking, occasionally groping the won beside them, which made Qin Sisi feel disgust. She decided to turn her head away.

Thankfully, the drinking session didn’t last too long. After about an hour, the session wound up. The n stood up, exchanged courtesies, shook hands, and each held onto a woman as they exited the room.

Qin Sisi imdiately followed them out, tracking Zhou Zichen.

Zhou Zichen guided the glamorous woman to an elevator. Qin Sisi also stepped in, tucking herself away in a corner.

The elevator stopped on a higher floor, where Zhou Zichen led the woman down the corridor and into a private room.
