Chapter 1438: Chapter 1438: The King’s Return (Grand Finale)
Qin Sisi and Ye You bid farewell to the Snow Demon Leader and headed towards the exit of Snow Demon Valley. Just as they were about to leave the valley, Qin Sisi suddenly said, "I forgot to ask how the Nine-Colored Deer and the Snow-scaled White Horse are doing."
Ye You nonchalantly replied, "How does their situation relate to us?"
Qin Sisi gave him a disapproving look.
Ye You imdiately broke into a smile and said flatteringly, "If they upset you, I’ll go kill them right now."
As he spoke, Ye You was about to turn around and head back, but Qin Sisi quickly tugged at his sleeve and said anxiously, "Stop, I didn’t an to kill them."
Ye You halted his steps, looking at Qin Sisi with a pained expression and said, "Ignoring them doesn’t work, killing them doesn’t work either. Your Majesty, what do you want your husband to do?"
Amused, Qin Sisi wrapped her two paws around Ye You’s neck and gave him a gentle kiss near his ear.
Ye You rubbed his cheek against Qin Sisi and said softly, "Go ahead, tell
what to do, I’m all ears."
Qin Sisi smiled and raised her furry paw to pat Ye You’s nose, pondering for a mont before saying softly, "Though those two aren’t good people, they don’t deserve death. Being sealed for a thousand years has been punishnt enough, let’s just let them fend for themselves."
Ye You nodded and said, "Alright, I’ll do as my dear wife says."
Qin Sisi playfully patted Ye You’s chest, but her eyes were filled with laughter.
Surviving a desperate situation and seeing the clouds part after the rain, both of them felt particularly cheerful.
As for the true culprits of the plight that had plagued the Extre North Ice Field for nearly a thousand years, the Nine-Colored Deer and the Snow-scaled White Horse, a single misstep led to many more.
The Nine-Colored Deer, after realizing how inadequate Snow-scaled White Horse was, would soon discover that the sweet-talking, gift-giving Green Roots Ferret was just a penniless nobody. Wanting much without the willingness to work hard ans continuing to sell oneself.
The Snow-scaled White Horse would also realize that he was not the ever-charming world’s most handso man. For the rest of his life, he would never encounter a perfect goddess like the Ice Snow Fairy, nor would anyone love him as she had.
As Qin Sisi and Ye You walked out of Snow Demon Valley, soone was waiting for them outside. Dressed in white like a fairy, with hair cascading like a waterfall, without a strand out of place, noble and elegant, cool and reserved.
Qin Sisi exchanged a glance with Ye You, then looked at the Ice Snow Fairy and asked, "Are you here to say goodbye to us?"
The Ice Snow Fairy nodded and replied, "Yes, I’m here to tell you that I’m leaving here as well."
As she gazed at the Ice Snow Fairy, a gentle breeze seed to blow through Qin Sisi’s heart, making it even more refreshing and expansive. She softly said, "Congratulations, and have a safe journey."
"Thank you, and I wish you both a safe journey as well," replied the Ice Snow Fairy gently. After a mont, she continued, "I’ve packed away all the important things from the Ice Snow Palace. There are so things I don’t want anymore; you can go take a look, and if you find them useful, take them all."
The surprise ca too quickly, like a tornado.
Qin Sisi blinked, looking at the Ice Snow Fairy, and asked, "Are you serious?"
The Ice Snow Fairy smiled without speaking, softly said "Goodbye," and then rose with the wind, flying far away amidst the lightly falling snowflakes.
Her white dress and jet-black hair fluttered in the wind, as if she were about to ascend to the unreachable clouds in the sky, becoming a fairy of the heavens above.
Her figure grew more distant and vague, eventually rging with the drifting snowflakes, as if she herself had beco a crystalline snowflake.
Watching the Ice Snow Fairy disappear into the distance, Ye You softly said, "Let’s go take a look at the Ice Snow Palace."
Qin Sisi nodded and smiled, "Let’s go, we can’t waste her kind intentions."
And so, the two returned to the Ice Snow Palace, searching room by room.
The Ice Snow Fairy indeed took many things with her, but there were still plenty of good things left behind.
When Qin Sisi helped Ye You withstand the Heavenly Tribulation, she had thrown out all the forged magical defense equipnt and all the ores, leaving her storage ring empty—practically "as poor as can be"—with only so clothes and jewelry sitting alone in two boxes.
To her surprise, the Ice Snow Palace contained a large amount of high-grade ores.
