Chapter 1390: Chapter 1390: Azure Dragon Spring
Just when Mo Xicheng was contemplating whether to forcibly keep the little boy here, to let him beco a small plaything in his lonely life, the little boy looked up, his eyes shining with starry light, and asked in a clear voice, "Big brother, do you have ti tomorrow?"
Mo Xicheng looked at him for a mont and softly replied, "Yes."
The little boy grinned, "Great, then I can co to you tomorrow to learn how to play the flute, okay?"
"Okay," Mo Xicheng replied without changing his expression.
"Thank you, big brother, I’ll be going now. Goodbye, big brother." The little boy waved at Mo Xicheng and turned to run towards the hall’s door.
Mo Xicheng’s eyes followed the little boy, his light, agile figure, and the short hair swinging with his movent, reminding Mo Xicheng of many warm mories from long, long ago.
As he reached the entrance, the little boy stopped, turned, and loudly said to Mo Xicheng, "Big brother, my na is Mu Ze, what’s your na?"
"Na?" Mo Xicheng thought for a mont before sowhat awkwardly replying, "My na is Mo Xicheng."
For thousands of years, no one had called his na. At that mont, he felt the solitude of life even more profoundly, almost unable to rember his own na.
"Mo Xicheng?" Mu Ze showed a startled expression on his face.
Just as Mo Xicheng’s heart sank, thinking Mu Ze might have heard of his na and thought of him as the eccentric and odd person from the rumors, Mu Ze suddenly cheered, "What a great na, so powerful, see you tomorrow, Brother Xicheng!"
Mu Ze hopped away, and after a few shakes, the door closed again, bringing silence back to the hall, and that deeply rooted loneliness returned to Mo Xicheng’s heart.
At night, he lay in bed, his eyes wide open without a hint of sleepiness.
In the second half of the night, he got up and walked aimlessly on Kurosawa Highland, unconsciously ending up at Azure Dragon Spring.
Seven thousand years ago, when he first arrived at Deep Pupil Desert, it took him a long ti to choose a place to settle. Finally, he saw Azure Dragon Spring on Kurosawa Highland and decided to reside there.
His main practices were Water Magic and Earth Magic, and the clear and ever-flowing Azure Dragon Spring was a great attraction to him.
Through exploration, he discovered the secret of Azure Dragon Spring.
It turned out that, hidden in the tightly compacted rocks, was an artifact from the prival tis—Jade Dragon Pattern Bottle.
During the creation of the world alongside the Phoenix, Mo Xicheng had heard of this treasure, said to be transford from a completely jade-green Divine Dragon, possessing massive Spiritual Power, and would continually flow with clear water from the bottle. Additionally, the water contained abundant Water Spirit Force, which, when consud regularly, aided in the growth of Water Attribute Magic Power.
Mo Xicheng chose Kurosawa Highland and consud nothing but a cup of water from Azure Dragon Spring every day. Over ti, his Water Magic indeed improved significantly.
The water of Azure Dragon Spring flowed continuously, impossible to deplete by Mo Xicheng alone, so most of it flowed from Kurosawa Highland to Stoning Plain, forming a jade-green lake there, serving as the most important water source for the people living on Stoning Plain.
Mo Xicheng wasn’t a narrow-minded person. With so much water from Azure Dragon Spring, it seed normal for the people living in the arid desert to use so of it.
However, once the water from Azure Dragon Spring was exposed to the blazing sun outside, the Spiritual Power within would begin to fade. By the ti it flowed to the lake on Stoning Plain, the water’s Spiritual Power was nearly negligible and not much different from ordinary spring water.
On that dark and lonely night, as Mo Xicheng thought of Mu Ze’s innocent and pure smile, he gently raised his arm, releasing Water Attribute Magic Power to combine it with the Spiritual Power of Jade Dragon Pattern Bottle.
The combination of the two formidable forces increased the flow of the water by one-third.
Watching the spring beco livelier, Mo Xicheng slowly curled his lips, then suddenly realized he hadn’t smiled in a long, long ti.
The next day, from the mont the sun rose, Mo Xicheng started anticipating Mu Ze’s arrival, but despite waiting until sunset, Mu Ze didn’t appear.
Mo Xicheng’s heart surged with a wave of anger from being deceived.
He realized Mu Ze was just lying to him, casually saying things, whereas he had taken him so seriously, even increasing the water flow to Stoning Plain on purpose.
Mo Xicheng quickly walked back to Azure Dragon Spring, intending to withdraw the Water Attribute Magic Power he had infused into the Jade Dragon Pattern Bottle, when a voice called from the hall, "Brother Xicheng, I’m here!"
Mo Xicheng halted his actions sharply, retracted his arm imdiately, and turned towards the hall, rushing back. After a few steps, he felt sothing was off and burst forth with Magic Power, forming a pair of black wings behind him.
He flapped the wings a few tis vigorously and quickly flew towards the hall.
Indeed, it was Mu Ze who had arrived.
Upon seeing Mo Xicheng, Mu Ze ran over and apologized profusely, "Brother Xicheng, I’m sorry, my father made
practice Magic skill a hundred tis before I could co, so I’m late."
He explained rapidly, his expression full of apology, fearing that Mo Xicheng might be angry and unwilling to teach him the flute anymore.
Looking at Mu Ze’s apologetic face, Mo Xicheng suddenly felt his resentnt vanish and gently replied, "It’s okay."
"So are you still willing to teach
to play the flute?" Mu Ze cautiously asked.
"Of course." Mo Xicheng smiled slightly and took out the golden flute from his back.
After half an hour, Mu Ze put down the flute and said with disappointnt, "Big brother, I have to go back now, or my parents will be worried."
The light in Mo Xicheng’s eyes dimd a bit, and he lowered his head, speechless.
Mu Ze seed to sense Mo Xicheng’s reluctance, and he softly said, "Big brother, don’t worry, I’ll co to keep you company whenever I have ti."
"Keep
company?" Mo Xicheng looked at Mu Ze in surprise, realizing this young boy had already seen through his loneliness.
Mu Ze smiled brightly, waved to him, and prepared to leave.
"Wait a mont." Mo Xicheng stopped Mu Ze, raised a finger, and infused a trace of Magic Power into his brow.
"If your parents ask, just tell them you’re practicing at Kurosawa Highland, because you feel the environnt there suits you," Mo Xicheng advised Mu Ze.
Mu Ze could feel the imnse power of that trace of Magic Power; living for nearly ten thousand years as a Deity, even a tiny bit from Mo Xicheng was very powerful to him.
With Mo Xicheng’s Mana, Mu Ze successfully convinced his parents that he went to Kurosawa Highland for practice. Thus, his parents gradually stopped preventing him from going out, and he beca a frequent visitor to Kurosawa Highland.
