Chapter 1359: Chapter 1359: Never to Be Separated

Qin Sisi and Ye You looked around, and all they saw was lush green grass, towering trees, dense foliage, along with colorful flowers scattered among them. The environnt was serene, the air refreshing, making one feel relaxed and joyful.

This place was no longer the Forest of Death, but a thriving, lively Forest of Life.

Qin Sisi recalled sothing and hurriedly led Ye You to the place where Zi Yu dissipated his spiritual power.

The spot where Zi Yu was had no trace of him, his essence of heaven and earth and Plant Spirit Power were all gone, and Zi Yu had vanished from this world.

Yet, on the land where he lay, there remained a shimring leaf, green with a tinge of yellow, quietly resting on a soft green grassland.

"Zi Yu?" Qin Sisi called out softly.

The leaf moved slightly, then slowly floated up, circling Qin Sisi and Ye You twice before drifting off in a certain direction.

Qin Sisi and Ye You exchanged a puzzled glance, then suddenly realized where the leaf was headed.

"Is it going back to the forr Dark Forest?" Qin Sisi asked.

"Let’s follow it." Ye You said, placing Qin Sisi on his shoulder and conjuring magic wings, chasing after it.

The leaf flew at a moderate pace, not too fast or slow, allowing Ye You to keep up.

They followed it for several days and nights, finally returning to the forr Dark Forest, yet the leaf did not stop, continuing onward.

"Where do you think it’ll go?" Ye You asked.

Qin Sisi replied softly, "I think it’s going to find Ling Wu, I can’t believe you can’t guess."

Ye You slightly curled his lips but said nothing, continuing to closely follow the leaf.

Along the way, Qin Sisi occasionally encountered mbers of the Elf Clan.

The restoration of the Forest of Death’s original state was so dramatic that even the vast Dark Forest felt the spiritual power fluctuations from the west, leaving everyone astonished, wanting to see what big event had occurred.

As Qin Sisi had expected, the leaf flew beside the phoenix tree that Ling Wu transford into, though now the phoenix tree had grown green leaves and no longer had flowers to be seen.

The shimring leaf circled the phoenix tree a few tis before settling into the nearby soil, soon after, a tender green shoot erged from the soil, and two delicate leaves bravely pushed through the ground.

Then, the shoot began to grow at a speed visible to the naked eye, becoming taller and more robust, spreading nurous branches and growing countless green leaves.

It eventually grew to about the sa height as the phoenix tree, as if standing shoulder to shoulder.

An elm tree, a phoenix tree, standing there side by side, their trunks seed unconnected.

However, their dense branches were interwoven, and the leaves of both trees tightly embraced, rustling gently in the wind, as if nodding to each other, sharing heartfelt exchanges as they did before.

Beneath the soil, deep within the earth, though unseen, one could imagine their roots inevitably entwined, indistinguishable from one another.

As humans, they couldn’t be together due to various reasons, but now as two trees, they rely on and embrace each other closely, nothing can separate them anymore.

Qin Sisi gazed at the two towering trees standing side by side, her eyes turning red, and crystalline tears slowly slid down.

Ye You also fell silent, looking deeply at the intertwined branches and leaves.

The Bearded Elf King arrived, understanding completely what happened, gazing at the restored, vibrant, and beautiful path of the Sage Ruler, and seeing Zi Yu, who sacrificed his spiritual power and life for it, he closed his eyes gently and let out a long sigh.

Jin Bo also arrived, bowing deeply toward the tall elm tree. He had previously disrespected Zi Yu because of the Dark Witch’s actions, but what Zi Yu did made him realize his narrow-mindedness and superficiality.

Ling Song, Jun Feng, and Yu Nan also ca, looking at the closely embracing elm and phoenix trees, shedding tears of sorrow.

All the mbers of the Elf Clan gathered around, with their green skin and green hair. Besides the Elf King who used his beard as clothing, everyone else wore clothes made of leaves.

They all lay on the tree branches, so very close, others farther away, but their gazes were all sincere, grateful, and gentle, quietly watching the elm tree that Zi Yu had beco.

They knew who saved the Dark Forest and their future, and they thanked him sincerely from their hearts.

At this mont, a murmur arose from the crowd, and Qin Sisi turned her head to see that the Dark Witch had arrived.

Her face looked even older, her figure more hunched, gaze dull and devastated, like a black date weathered by countless storms and knives, leaving only a dry and hard shell in the passage of ti.

"What happened? Where’s Zi Yu? Where’s my child?" She rasped as she approached, but no one answered.

The Elf Clan feared and hated her, many couldn’t understand how such a selfish and cruel Dark Witch could have such a kind and selfless good child.

But silence didn’t bother her, she was a deity who lived for thousands of years and had spent many years in the Dark Forest, she couldn’t fail to sense the changes in the Forest of Death.

She possibly already guessed that everything ca from her son’s sacrifice but didn’t want to believe it, clinging to a shred of hope internally.

She trembled toward the large elm tree that beca Zi Yu, stood dazed for a while, then slowly raised her dry and yellowed hands, placing them on the elm tree trunk.

Zi Yu was her only relative, the person she loved most in this world, no matter what he turned into, she’d recognize him.

"My son, my good son..." The Dark Witch embraced the elm tree, pressing her aged face against it, sobbing as her hoarse cries echoed with despair, reminding Qin Sisi of the charred trees in the forr Forest of Death.

The Dark Witch gradually collapsed to the ground, but her arms remained tightly around the elm, seemingly wanting to leave the rest of her life here until she turned into stone.

Qin Sisi watched her for a while, then slowly approached, saying softly, "You know, soone like Zi Yu, even if he has a beloved wife, he would still love and respect you. You’re his mother, you gave him life, and when he has his own children, wouldn’t they also be a continuation of your life?"
