Chapter 1344: Chapter 1344: Wutong Lover

The Dark Witch grabbed Ling Wu and flew into the distance; she didn’t want this obnoxious Plant Elf to remain near her dwelling, lest it sour her mood in the future.

Zi Yu was taken aback, hastily unleashing his magic power to pursue them, but his magic level was far inferior to his mother’s. Soon, the Dark Witch disappeared from his view with Ling Wu, leaving Zi Yu anxious yet powerless.

When he finally caught up, he found only the Dark Witch’s figure.

He anxiously looked around, still unable to find any trace of Ling Wu, and hurriedly asked his mother about Ling Wu’s whereabouts.

The Dark Witch, her face icy, casually pointed and said, "Isn’t she right there?"

Zi Yu turned his head to see. There was no Ling Wu, only a tall tree—a phoenix tree as thick as a person, with no leaves on its branches but blooming with purplish-red flowers.

Trumpet-shaped flowers gently swayed in the breeze, with dewdrops gliding off the petals, dripping onto Zi Yu’s face, a chill that penetrated to the bone.

He looked at his mother in disbelief, his eyes still questioning. For this one person in the world dear to him, he still held a sliver of hope.

But the Dark Witch spoke coldly, "A trivial Plant Elf dared to seduce the Divine Clan; this is the price for her shalessness."

After speaking, she walked to Zi Yu’s side, softened her tone, and continued, "Alright, everything’s resolved. From now on, don’t get enchanted by those little elves. We can live well together, just the two of us, without anyone disturbing us."

As she spoke, she reached out to hold Zi Yu’s hand.

Unexpectedly, as soon as her hand touched Zi Yu’s, he harshly swept it away.

This was the first ti that the usually obedient Zi Yu had resisted her so vehently. The Dark Witch was stunned, looking at her son, seeing his eyes redden, his face full of anger and sorrow, his gaze at her so unfamiliar.

Zi Yu ignored her completely, turning towards the phoenix tree, embracing it tightly with an odd posture, not letting go for a long ti.

The Dark Witch was both anxious and furious, quickly approaching Zi Yu and sternly scolding, "How can you be so thoughtless? You’ve known her for a few days, while I have nurtured and raised you for millennia; you should respect

and listen to ."

But no matter what she said, Zi Yu remained silent, clinging tightly to the phoenix tree, refusing to leave.

The Dark Witch wanted to forcibly take him back to the Giant Wood Castle. Zi Yu drew a sharp wooden sword from his garnt, pointing it at the location of his magic source on his abdon, glaring with red eyes and hoarsely threatening, "If you dare to force , I’ll die right here in front of you."

If injured elsewhere, the powerful plant-based magic of the Dark Witch could heal, but damage to the magic source was beyond redy.

The Dark Witch hesitated instantly, not daring to use strong ans against Zi Yu, but she mournfully spoke of the hardships in nurturing him.

Zi Yu seed deaf, rely holding the phoenix tree dazedly, gazing blankly into the void, not saying another word.

Finally losing patience, the Dark Witch angrily returned alone. Yet, she still believed in the bond they once had, thinking once Zi Yu calms down, he will return.

Ti flew by. First, Zi Yu would spend his days dazing under the phoenix tree. Later, he simply lived in the tree; the phoenix tree beca his new ho, and he never returned to the Giant Wood Castle.

So, when the Dark Witch saw him here, she was overjoyed, thinking he had figured things out and was willing to return to her side.

Unexpectedly, he hadn’t forgiven her, nor intended to return, and he had never forgotten Ling Wu, even clashing fiercely with her because of Ling Wu.

The Dark Witch’s heart shattered into pieces, trembling, she muttered with dimd lips, "I... I did this all for you, for us."

Zi Yu composed himself and coldly replied, "Mother, I am your child, but I won’t always be just with you. I have grown up; I will have my own friends and loved ones. You can’t control

as if I were your toy like when I was a child."

After saying this, he walked away without looking back.

Unwilling to accept what was happening, the Dark Witch ran to grab Zi Yu’s hand, only to have him shake it off harshly again.

Dumbfounded, she stood there helplessly watching Zi Yu’s figure recede further into the distance—this was the second ti Zi Yu shook off her hand. Had he truly grown up and no longer needed her?

Scenes from Zi Yu’s childhood, where they had spent warm monts together, flashed through her mind. Suddenly, she wished Zi Yu would never grow up, forever just a well-behaved, innocent child.

Finally, Zi Yu’s figure disappeared from sight, and the Dark Witch covered her face with both hands, bursting into tears.

Ye You and Qin Sisi suddenly realized this might be an opportunity.

So, he walked near the Dark Witch, solemnly asking, "Do you need help?"

The Dark Witch lifted her head, with eyes spitting fire, and shouted hatefully, "It’s you, it must be you who burned down my Giant Wood Castle and destroyed my being. I’m going to kill you!"

Saying this, she raised her hand, summoning a dark green magic power, fiercely advancing towards Ye You.

Aware of the danger, Ye You didn’t dare be careless, quickly releasing Gold Attribute Magic Power to form a Copper Iron Wall magic shield in defense.

The Dark Witch’s magic belonged to Wood Attribute Magic; in the Five Elents, gold conquers wood, making Gold Attribute Magic the best choice to resist Wood Attribute Magic.

Ye You was not optimistic. He had seen the Dark Witch’s power, much stronger than his own, and feared he might not escape unscathed from this encounter.

To his surprise, the magic power the Dark Witch unleashed didn’t quickly break through his Copper Iron Wall, but instead, a stalemate ensued.

His eyes flashed as he imdiately accelerated the rotation of his magic source, releasing more magic power to sustain the Copper Iron Wall.

Finally, the Dark Witch’s attack magic and Ye You’s magic shield exhausted each other’s energy and vanished simultaneously.

The first round ended in a draw, leaving Ye You sowhat puzzled. Qin Sisi approached him from behind, whispering a few words into his ear, making Ye You appear suddenly enlightened, looking at the Dark Witch with increasingly calm and icy eyes.

Ye You’s focus remained on battling the Dark Witch, without the energy to ponder the situation’s intricacies, while Qin Sisi quietly stood by his side, carefully pondering everything the Dark Witch and Zi Yu had said, suddenly realizing sothing.
