Chapter 131: Chapter 131: The Police’s Reasoning_1

Seeing the tension, Wu Cheng stepped forward and slapped the bald man’s head, scolding, "Who pushed you? Everyone was so far away from you, how could they have pushed you? Such a big man and you can’t even walk properly, hurry up and leave!"

A few people helped the bald man up and followed Wu Cheng as they quickly left. A few low chuckles could be heard from the crowd.

Taking advantage of the crowd outside who were still watching the commotion, Qin Sisi deliberately said loudly, "Boss Zheng, you need to be more careful when choosing your friends in the future."

Knowing what Qin Sisi ant, Boss Zheng also responded loudly, "Ah, indeed, one needs to be more careful when making friends."

As the crowd gradually dispersed, these words naturally fell into so people’s ears. Over ti, they would circulate among gossipers, resulting in public opinion no longer being solely in Wu Cheng’s favor. This would significantly reduce the negative impact on Ju Ya Zhai tea house.

After Wu Cheng and his crowd left, a few police officers exchanged glances with Ning Hao. They reassured and reminded Boss Zheng a few sentences before also leaving.

Boss Zheng had the staff tidy up the tea house, while he himself took Qin Sisi and Ning Hao into a private room at the back of the shop.

The room was decorated with light-colored wallpaper, and ink paintings of the Four Gentlen (the plum blossom, the orchid, the bamboo, and the chrysanthemum). Antique tea sets were placed on a carved Redwood Eight Immortals table.

The three of them sat down in turn, and Boss Zheng poured each of them a cup of tea from the teapot. A rich aroma filled the room as the light brown tea wafted a misty steam.

After taking a sip of his tea, Boss Zheng said to Qin Sisi, "Little Sisi, can you tell

about your plan now?"

Qin Sisi was silent for a mont before looking at Ning Hao.

Ning Hao raised his eyebrows slightly, "Don’t you trust ?"

Qin Sisi shook her head, "I trust you. Were those policen called by you?"

Ning Hao remained silent, which was taken as an affirmation.

Qin Sisi smiled bitterly and said, "I was just afraid that you wouldn’t believe ."

"Let’s hear it." Ning Hao took a sip of his tea. His eyes were piercing as he stared at Qin Sisi.

"I’m not at liberty to disclose the specific plan." Qin Sisi looked apologetically at Boss Zheng, "But I assure you that if Wu Cheng doesn’t return the Blue and white Porcelain within a week, I will return the full eighty thousand to you."

Boss Zheng was silent for a while, then exhaled slowly, "Little Sisi, since you could drive away the evil spirit from the Blue and white Porcelain, it ans that you and the people behind you are not ordinary. I will trust you one more ti."

"Hold on a mont, what are you talking about?" Ning Hao’s eyes widened, "An evil spirit in the Blue and white Porcelain?"

Turning to look at Ning Hao, Qin Sisi replied, "Do you really think we would collude to deceive him?"

Ning Hao furrowed his brow and thought for a mont before hesitantly asking, "If you didn’t deceive him, then everything you said is true, which ans, there really was so sort of evil spirit in the Blue and white Porcelain?"

Boss Zheng took over the conversation, "There indeed was one, but it has already been driven out by Little Sisi."

Ning Hao looked at Qin Sisi with an incredulous expression, struggling to say, "Driven out... by you?"

Qin Sisi found Ning Hao’s expression a bit amusing. She calmly nodded and replied, "Yes, I scattered its soul."

In reality, it was Ye You who had done the job, but Qin Sisi didn’t want anyone to know Ye You’s secret, so she brazenly took all the credit herself.

Ning Hao rubbed his temples with one hand, his expression sowhat complex. After a while, he returned his gaze to Qin Sisi and said, "Qin Sisi, if I rember correctly, it seems like just yesterday you told

that you don’t believe in ghosts."

Qin Sisi was stunned and didn’t know how to respond. Just the previous day, she insisted to Ning Hao that she didn’t believe in ghosts in order to reject his good-natured offer to help her switch apartnts.

And today, she had to contradict herself. What an ironic turn of events!

Qin Sisi sighed and said sincerely, "Ning Hao, I’m sorry. I lied to you about the ghost thing yesterday because of the housing issue."

Ning Hao’s sharp gaze stayed on Qin Sisi’s face for a mont before he asked, "Then, is there anything wrong with that apartnt?"

Qin Sisi felt troubled inside. He was indeed a policeman, his questions were sharp and pointed.

Just as Qin Sisi hesitated, Ye You, nestled in her arms, moved his fluffy little head slightly and gave a low ow.

Qin Sisi opened her mouth slightly. Ye You wanted her to tell the truth. Was that really a good idea?

Ning Hao’s attention was drawn to Ye You by his ow, and he looked at the black cat, a glint in his eye.

Finally, Qin Sisi braced herself to say, "There is indeed a problem with that apartnt."

"What kind of problem?" Ning Hao relentlessly pursued.

Qin Sisi sipped her tea, "There are two ghosts in the apartnt, a man and a woman."

"Then what?" Ning Hao appeared relentless, pressing her for more information.

Qin Sisi paused and then said, "I have subdued them."

"You subdued them?" Ning Hao’s doubt flashed in his eyes, and he continued to ask, "What’s their relationship?"

"Husband and wife."

"How did they die?"

"The man accidentally killed the woman and then committed suicide."

"What was the man’s murder weapon?"

"An ashtray."

"What were they wearing at the ti of their death?"

"Matching couple pajamas."

Ning Hao leaned heavily back against his chair, contemplating Qin Sisi with a thoughtful expression.

Qin Sisi t Ning Hao’s probing gaze and smiled faintly, "Officer Ning, is this how you typically interrogate suspects?"

Ning Hao also gave a slight smile. He did not respond to Qin Sisi’s teasing but said quite seriously, "I believe you."

Qin Sisi blinked in surprise, "Why?"

Ning Hao explained, "I handled that case. It was my first year on the job and the first ti I had been at the scene of a homicide, so I rember it quite vividly. At the ti, you were not living in that community and should not have been at the scene, yet you know so of the details so specifically. Either you deliberately investigated it or there is indeed so special circumstances."

Qin Sisi was stunned by Ning Hao’s ticulous thinking, then deliberately asked, "Why wouldn’t I have investigated this case on purpose?"

Ning Hao responded with a confident smile, "I investigated the social relationships of those two people, and I don’t rember seeing your na. They had no connection to you when they were alive."

Ning Hao’s conclusion was not based solely on deduction. It was drawn from his careful analysis and investigation at the ti. Qin Sisi couldn’t help but gain a certain respect for the profession of a police officer.
