Chapter 118: Chapter 118 The Haunted House_1
Upon seeing Qin Sisi acting out in irritation, Ye You found it both amusing and heart-wrenching. He leaped onto the sofa and whispered beside Qin Sisi’s ear, "Are you mad?"
Qin Sisi closed her eyes, motionless, and said nothing.
Ye You extended a paw and gently shook Qin Sisi’s shoulder, cooing, "Okay, I’ll stop ssing with you. Let’s go back to bed."
"No," Qin Sisi grunted, still unmoving.
Ye You sighed and said no more.
With her eyes tightly closed, Qin Sisi brooded over sothing: Was he already giving up? Couldn’t he coax her more?
As Qin Sisi was still sulking, she suddenly found herself slowly floating upwards. She looked up to see her and Ye You’s bodies enveloped in a semi-transparent sphere, which was lazily drifting upwards.
This was not the first ti Qin Sisi had seen this semi-transparent sphere.
It was called upon by Ye You when Qin Sisi had twisted her ankle chasing after him during an argunt, and during the ti when she was nearly too exhausted to hold on to the Wings of Rainbow while searching for Xiao Dan on the 22nd floor. The sphere enveloped them and gently carried them to their destination.
In less than a minute, Qin Sisi and Ye You landed softly on the bed.
Ye You withdrew the semi-transparent sphere and gazed down at Qin Sisi.
Upon his gaze, Qin Sisi turned her head to the side, continuing to lay with her back towards Ye You, clearly not over her anger entirely.
Without speaking, Ye You silently reached out with his paw, placing it on Qin Sisi’s neck. As he whispered a spell, a wisp of Spiritual Power slowly flowed out, healing the kissed red patch on her skin.
Several minutes later, Ye You pulled back his paw, looking at Qin Sisi’s neck and softly murmured, "It’s better now."
Only then did Qin Sisi turn around to look at Ye You. Although she couldn’t see her own neck, she trusted Ye You.
Their eyes t, the purple glow in Ye You’s eyes was calm and gentle. The remaining bit of Qin Sisi’s irritation evaporated instantly.
Qin Sisi hesitated briefly before courageously wrapping her arms around Ye You’s neck, whispering, "Next ti soone confesses their love to you, don’t hide it from , whether they’re human or cat, male or female, just tell
honestly."
Regardless of if they’re a person or cat, a man or woman? What nonsense is this!
Ye You frowned inwardly, amused and exasperated, but nodded and said, "Okay."
Qin Sisi averted her gaze from Ye You, her cheeks flushing a soft pink as she mumbled, "Stop bullying people."
Ye You chuckled lightly, leaning close to Qin Sisi and said, "You’re my girlfriend, who else would I tease?"
Qin Sisi’s mouth opened, but she had nothing to say.
Ye You gently placed a kiss on Qin Sisi’s forehead and whispered, "I promise you, I will try to restrain myself next ti, is that okay?"
Qin Sisi blinked, didn’t say anything, just held Ye You tighter.
The two snuggled together, gradually drifting off to sleep.
After breakfast the next day, Qin Sisi and Ye You went to look into real estate agencies, to see if they could find a place that Ye You would like.
On the way, Ye You succinctly outlined his requirents so Qin Sisi would have a sense of what to look for.
Qin Sisi visited two agencies to get a general idea but found nothing suitable. The slightly upscale ones had rents that made one tongue-tied. Despite having enough money to afford the rent, it still felt extravagantly expensive.
The third real estate agency was a little smaller. To make full use of the space, an array of papers with detailed information and rental prices of different properties were posted on the surrounding walls.
The attendant, a lady in her thirties, introduced several apartnts to Qin Sisi. Right then, other clients arrived and the attendant directed Qin Sisi to the papers saying, "We have a large range of properties. Have a look and see if you find anything you like. You can check them out at any ti."
Carrying Ye You, Qin Sisi began to seriously study the assortnt of papers on the wall.
The apartnt of their preference needed not be large, a two-bedroom apartnt would suffice. It also needn’t be in the city center as it was too noisy and not conducive to their ghost collecting activities. It would be better if it was in the suburbs.
However, the facilities couldn’t be too shoddy. There needed to be a guarantee of water, electricity, heating, and good public transport access. Fully furnished and fitted with appliances would be best.
Looking at one paper at a ti, Qin Sisi’s attention was suddenly drawn to a rental rate at one corner.
Five thousand for a year?
That’s far too cheap!
She read through the details of the apartnt again and was pleasantly surprised to find it eting her requirents.
Holding Ye You tighter, she pointed it out to him.
After looking at it, Ye You said, "The house is good, but it is surprisingly cheap. There’s probably sothing wrong with it, let’s ask first."
Qin Sisi nodded in agreent. She too thought that it was abnormal for a house with these credentials to be rented out at such a low price.
She summoned the attendant and pointed to the paper asking, "Can we visit this apartnt?"
Upon seeing the apartnt Qin Sisi was referring to, the attendant’s expression changed slightly. She glanced Qin Sisi up and down before asking, "Miss, are you renting this apartnt alone?"
After receiving Qin Sisi’s affirmative reply, the attendant lowered her voice and said, "Miss, you better not consider this apartnt. If it was a few guys looking to rent together, it might still be alright, but it’s not suitable for you, a young lady living alone."
There was indeed a problem.
Qin Sisi blinked, asking curiously, "What do you an by that? Why can n live there but not won?"
The attendant looked around and whispered, "This apartnt once had two people die in it, and since it’s been rented out, tenants have reported ghost activity. It has scared so tenants away, which is why the rent is so cheap."
Haunted? By two ghosts?
Qin Sisi and Ye You exchanged a aningful glance. Their luck was good indeed — they had not just co out to rent an apartnt, but also to potentially gain two ghost companions.
The attendant continued to discourage, "Miss, why don’t you take a look at other apartnts, you won’t want to rent this one once you see it, it would just be a waste of ti."
Qin Sisi looked at the attendant and smiled, saying, "Who believes in ghosts nowadays anyway? Please, could you show
the apartnt?"
The attendant seed reluctant, stating, "Miss, the apartnt gives off an eerily chilly vibe as soon as one enters, I advise you..."
Interrupting, Qin Sisi said, "Ma’am, I really am interested in the house. Please take
there for a look, and if it matches the description on the paper, I will rent it."
Seeing Qin Sisi’s resolute stance, the burnt-out attendant relayed her temporary departure to her colleague before leading Qin Sisi to the apartnt on an electric bike.
