Chapter 113: Chapter 113 Love Even in Death_1

The girl looked quietly at Chen Nuo, her expression calm and serene, her eyes gentle and affectionate, just like a long-lost lover.

However, her figure was translucent, and she emanated an overwhelming chilly aura which confird Qin Sisi’s suspicion that she was a ghost. Furthermore, from the way she looked at Chen Nuo, she could very well be ng Jia.

Under the cover of the Invisible Bubble, Qin Sisi silently approached. When she was close enough to be sure of her success, Ye You suddenly retracted the Invisible Bubble. He raised his claw and a golden lasso rapidly flew out, binding the ghost tightly.

The ghost was taken aback, struggling frenziedly in panic.

Qin Sisi swiftly moved forward and, taking advantage of the ghost’s limited mobility, shoved a Revealing Soul Pill into her mouth. Then she gently nudged her chin, causing the ghost to swallow the pill.

Chen Nuo lifted his bewildered head and watched incredulously as Qin Sisi perford a series of odd actions on thin air. He couldn’t help asking, "What are you doing?"

Qin Sisi turned to look at Chen Nuo and replied calmly, "You’ll see soon."

At this mont, the ringtone of a mobile phone rang out. It was the alarm set by Lin Xiaoyu.

A couple of seconds later, Lin Xiaoyu rushed out from Chen Nuo’s room. Seeing the expressions on Qin Sisi and Chen Nuo’s faces, he asked nervously, "What happened?"

Qin Sisi didn’t respond but stepped back a few steps and pointed towards the location of the ghost.

Chen Nuo, Lin Xiaoyu, Qin Sisi, and Ye You - all four of them were staring fixedly at that spot. The air seed to freeze, even their shallow breathing was clearly audible.

The Revealing Soul Pill worked quickly, taking effect in about a minute. However, to Chen Nuo and Lin Xiaoyu, that minute felt extraordinarily long, as if flowers had blossod and withered, as if leaves had fallen and sprouted anew.

Finally, a familiar silhouette gradually appeared. Silently, yet like a thunderbolt, it exploded in Chen Nuo’s scar-covered heart.

Chen Nuo abruptly stood up from the sofa. His body tense and rigid yet also frail and unsteady. The figure he had been longing for all these years stood before him, he could hardly believe it.

Unblinkingly, Chen Nuo stared, afraid that if he blinked, the figure would once again disappear from his sight, just like it did three years ago in the hazy mist of rain, when an oncoming car took away his deepest affection without warning.

For a long ti after that, he was tornted by nightmares. In his dreams, there were cool droplets of rain, the sound of a frighteningly close train whistle, desperate screams, and blood everywhere.

"ng Jia..."

Chen Nuo’s lips moved slightly as he uttered a na he had called countless tis in his dreams.

ng Jia suddenly stopped struggling. She stared blankly at Chen Nuo for a mont before saying unbelievingly, "You... can see ?"

Chen Nuo slowly nodded and rushed towards ng Jia.

Just in ti, Ye You retrieved the golden lasso, freeing ng Jia.

Chen Nuo wrapped his arms tightly around ng Jia, his chin resting heavily on her shoulder. He choked out, "You’re back? Do you know I miss you? Don’t leave

again, don’t abandon

again..."

The towering man, in that mont, was as vulnerable as a child.

ng Jia wrapped her arms around Chen Nuo’s waist, her expression equally filled with sadness and heartache. She murmured, "I’ve always been here, it’s just that you couldn’t see ."

Chen Nuo shivered, a thought suddenly occurred to him. He released ng Jia and tremblingly touched her face and head, asking anxiously, "Jia, are you still alive? Or..."

Although Qin Sisi was moved by their profound love, she had to tell the truth, "She died, three years ago. What you’re seeing now is only ng Jia’s ghost."

Chen Nuo took a step back as the word ghost echoed in his mind.

Yes, ng Jia was dead. She had died in front of him three years ago and she would never co back.

ng Jia remained still, looking at Chen Nuo with the sa gentle and passionate gaze.

After a mont of stunned silence, Chen Nuo slowly stepped forward and once again held ng Jia tightly in his arms.

My love for you is so real that even after your death, my love still flares up like a potent wine, causing

to stumble drunk into your tender embrace again and again in the darkness of night.

Watching the reunited couple, Lin Xiaoyu’s mouth curls into a warm smile.

Qin Sisi, however, frowned. There was a crueler truth yet to be revealed. But as she opened her mouth to disclose it, she held back. Let them have this mont of affection. Maybe they wouldn’t get this chance again.

It took a while for Chen Nuo to reluctantly let go of ng Jia, but his gaze remained on her, unwilling to move.

A blush of satisfaction and shyness colored ng Jia’s pretty face.

She reached out with her delicate fingers to gently touch Chen Nuo’s cheek and asked softly, "Do you truly love ? Then why did you betray ?"

Chen Nuo looked puzzled, "I betrayed you?"

ng Jia said accusingly, "I vowed to only love you in this lifeti, but you got new girlfriends. Not just one."

Chen Nuo’s face changed slightly, at a loss for words. He had indeed made such a declaration of love. But ng Jia was no longer in this world. Didn’t he have the right to accept others?

ng Jia was not satisfied with Chen Nuo’s silence. Her voice beca colder, "Chen Nuo, I’ll ask you once more, do you love

or not?"

Chen Nuo answered seriously, "Of course, I love you. Very much."

A smile appeared on ng Jia’s face again, but she relentlessly pursued, "Do you love Su Qing? Do you love Yi Han? Or are you rely with them because you’re lonely?"

Chen Nuo’s expression darkened. Did he love them? He supposed he did.

Su Qing’s gentleness and consideration, Yi Han’s docility and virtue, they had both provided him with a period of warm companionship, bringing light back into his bleak life.

Did loving Su Qing and Yi Han really an betraying ng Jia?

Looking at her increasingly silent lover, ng Jia’s heart and eyes grew colder. She sneered and said, "You never lied to

before, so now you can’t answer, can you? You do love them. You betrayed our love!"

At her last words, ng Jia’s laughter was almost hysterical, her usually charming features started to twist.

Chen Nuo watched ng Jia in shock. This was the woman he loved with all his heart, but her current state left him feeling estranged.

"I hate you! I hate those won who stole your love!" ng Jia spat out hatefully. She stepped back a few steps then turned to run away. Suddenly, she found that her path was blocked by a refined-looking young woman - the one who had fed her the pill and made her visible.
