Chapter 112: Chapter 112: Chen Nuo’s Longing_1

Hearing Qin Sisi imply that there were indeed ghosts in this house, likely Chen Nuo’s first love, ng Jia, Lin Xiaoyu was profoundly shocked. But after careful consideration, it made sense to him.

Lin Xiaoyu’s expression changed a few tis before he finally said, "Okay, I’ll go get him."

Moving to the door of Chen Nuo’s bedroom, Lin Xiaoyu turned the doorknob to open the door and stepped inside.

Thick curtains blocked the sunlight from outside, leaving the room dimly lit.

Lin Xiaoyu turned on the light and entered Chen Nuo’s room. As he closed the door behind him, he noted that Chen Nuo was disheveled, sothing that Qin Sisi was not supposed to see.

Not long after, the door was flung open, and a tall man hurried out, standing in front of Qin Sisi and asking loudly, "Can you let

see ng Jia?"

This must be Chen Nuo!

Qin Sisi looked up. Chen Nuo’s hair was disheveled, and his hastily put-on clothes were slightly ssy. His face was pale, but his eyes were shining bright due to his excitent.

Qin Sisi stood up calmly, looking directly into Chen Nuo’s eyes, and replied clearly, "Yes."

However, the light in Chen Nuo’s eyes dimd. He turned to Lin Xiaoyu, who was standing behind him, and said, "Xiaoyu, you brought your friend here to cheer

up, didn’t you?"

He’d been half-asleep, and Lin Xiaoyu’s words had struck a chord in his hurting heart, leaving him incredibly emotional.

However, after calming down, he realized it was all just a poorly crafted lie.

Lin Xiaoyu explained uncomfortably, "No, Chen Nuo, listen to ..."

Before Lin Xiaoyu could finish, Chen Nuo abruptly interrupted him, "Enough. Let

have so peace."

Chen Nuo walked back to his bedroom with a dejected look, his lonely silhouette casting a somber mood.

Feeling anxious, Lin Xiaoyu was about to speak when Qin Sisi suddenly asked, "Chen Nuo, do you know who I am?"

Chen Nuo paused but didn’t turn around. His voice was slightly hoarse as he replied, "No matter who you are, you can’t make a dead person appear before ."

Qin Sisi spoke clearly, "Indeed, I can’t make a dead person appear before you, but I can make a ghost appear."

Finally, Chen Nuo turned around and looked at Qin Sisi, a hint of impatience in his expression. "Are you storytelling? Pu Songling’s Strange Tales? Huh..."

Qin Sisi spoke casually, "Lin Xiaoyu didn’t believe it at first either, but now he does."

Chen Nuo turned to look at Lin Xiaoyu, who quickly nodded, indicating his trust in Qin Sisi.

Chen Nuo didn’t move or speak, seemingly contemplating.

Qin Sisi continued, "Even if you can’t see her in person, seeing her ghost is better than nothing, unless, you don’t miss her."

"Who says I don’t miss her?" Chen Nuo rebutted loudly, his breaths coming out fast and short.

Qin Sisi didn’t say anything more, just quietly watched Chen Nuo.

After a while, Chen Nuo finally said, "Fine, for Xiaoyu’s sake, I’ll let you try."

A barely noticeable smile appeared on Qin Sisi’s lips as she relaxed in the sofa and reached for her chopsticks, saying, "Good, now I’ll eat. I advise you do the sa. Otherwise, you’ll run out of energy and once ng Jia’s spirit appears, you might not be able to see her."

Chen Nuo hesitated for a mont before slowly walking over.

Feeling a flicker of joy, Lin Xiaoyu quickly placed his unused chopsticks and bowl in front of Chen Nuo and went to the kitchen to get another pair.

The three of them finished their al amidst a strange atmosphere.

After dinner, Qin Sisi offered to wash the dishes, but Lin Xiaoyu snatched the task back, insisting that the guest shouldn’t do the washing, leaving Qin Sisi with no choice but to let him.

Qin Sisi sat back on the sofa, not far from a deep-in-thought Chen Nuo. She felt a bit uncomfortable and wanted to say sothing, but didn’t know what to say.

At this mont, Ye You slowly walked over and scratched at Chen Nuo’s clothes.

Chen Nuo turned his head slightly, and upon seeing the black cat, a montary warmth passed through his eyes.

"Your cat?" Chen Nuo asked.

Qin Sisi nodded, "Yes."

Chen Nuo extended his hand and gently stroked Ye You, saying softly, "Jia jia also liked small animals."

At his words, Qin Sisi’s eyelashes fluttered and she lifted her clear, exquisite eyes to Chen Nuo, finding him unusually gentle and peaceful.

Ignoring Chen Nuo’s disheveled hair and unkempt attire, he indeed was a handso man.

When Lin Xiaoyu finished washing the dishes, Qin Sisi stood up and said, "There’s no need for us to just sit here waiting. We can do our own things, and co back here at midnight."

Chen Nuo responded, "I have nothing else to do, I’ll just wait here."

Ignoring the alienation in Chen Nuo’s voice, Qin Sisi said to Lin Xiaoyu, "I’m going to your room. I will co out when it’s ti. If you get tired, I’m afraid you’ll have to put up with your roommate for a while since he isn’t sleeping anyway."

Lin Xiaoyu nodded, "Alright."

Qin Sisi turned and went into Lin Xiaoyu’s room. Having slept for most of the day, she was tired and didn’t want to sit outside awkwardly.

There were over four hours until midnight. Wasting ti was shaful. So, Qin Sisi asked Ye You for a candle and continued practicing her fire magic.

With consistent effort, Qin Sisi had mastered her fire magic spell.

After comforting Chen Nuo a bit, Lin Xiaoyu, who hadn’t rested during the day and had woken up early to pick up Qin Sisi, started feeling tired.

Lin Xiaoyu said goodbye to Chen Nuo and went into Chen Nuo’s room to rest, setting the alarm for midnight before he went to sleep.

Close to midnight, while practicing her fire magic, Qin Sisi suddenly felt an icy cold sensation.

She perked up instantly, exchanging a determined gaze with Ye You.

To ensure foolproof concealnt, Ye You jumped onto Qin Sisi’s shoulder and released the Invisible Bubble, hiding both of them from sight.

Qin Sisi slowly turned the door handle, opening it just wide enough for a person to slip through, and carefully stepped out.

The lights in the living room were still on. Chen Nuo sat on the sofa alone, elbows on his knees, hands supporting his head as he gently massaged his temples, evidently still suffering from the effects of last night’s heavy drinking.

A few feet from Chen Nuo, a slim figure stood quietly. Dressed in a cute casual outfit, her hair tied in a ponytail, her face was youthful and attractive – clearly a girl in the pri of her youth.
