Chapter 1060: Chapter 1060: Wishing Upon the Starry Sky
"The night has deepened; let us call an end to the banquet for today. I have instructed my people to prepare rooms for everyone. Clan Leaders, please rest well. We will discuss other matters tomorrow," Ye You stood up and addressed the guests in the hall with a clear voice.
The guests all rose, bowed to Ye You to take their leave. They had traveled a long and dusty road and indeed, they were also quite tired.
Ya Ling had felt all along that the woman in red inside the ivy ball seed familiar. As she passed by, she took a closer look and finally recognized Qin Sisi, and couldn’t help but exclaim aloud, "So it’s..."
"Miss Ya Ling," Xiao ng imdiately interrupted her, speaking sternly, "His Royal Highness has already said the banquet is over, now hurry up and leave."
Subconsciously, Ya Ling looked towards Ye You, and surely enough, Ye You was staring at her with a cold gaze. Ya Ling shivered and didn’t dare to et Ye You’s eyes, but she was unwilling to be scolded by Xiao ng and mustered the courage to retort, "Then why aren’t you leaving?"
Xiao ng raised her chin arrogantly and said, "This young lady was brought here by , naturally I should be the one to escort her back."
Ya Ling was so angry she was lost for words. Seeing this, Ge Lun knew that arguing ceaselessly in front of Ye You was unwise, so he called out to Ya Ling and took her away from the banquet hall.
ng Yu followed behind her father Lian Fu with her head bowed, seemingly submissive, but as she passed by the ivy ball, she glared fiercely at Qin Sisi from an angle no one else could see.
Because of this woman, the dance she had ticulously prepared had turned into a joke. No matter who she was, she had to pay the price.
In the end, only Yun Wang and the three people from the Muyin family remained in the banquet hall. Yun Wang was Ye You’s close guard; naturally, he wouldn’t leave until he had escorted Ye You all the way to the cave. The Muyin family had not left because Xiao ng had not left.
Ye You understood their intentions and approached the ivy ball, saying, "I will take her back. You all go and rest!"
"Oh, yes, thank you, Your Royal Highness." Seeing Ye You’s stern face, Xiao ng felt sowhat afraid. After all, she had taken it upon herself to stay when Ye You was asking her to leave, which was exactly what she wanted. She quickly thanked him and left with her father and Jing Jing.
"Your Highness..." Yun Wang looked at Qin Sisi worriedly and chastised in a low voice, "Yun Cheng and the others are really causing trouble."
Having recognized Qin Sisi and considering that she was recomnded by Xiao ng, and reflecting on how Xiao ng and Yun Cheng had quietly left the banquet hall together, what else was there to misunderstand?
Ye You looked at Qin Sisi, who was curled up in the ivy ball, and spoke in a gentle tone, "Let it be, they had good intentions."
With that, he raised his palm and released a wisp of Fire Attribute Magic Power. Under the scorching of Ziwei Heaven Fire, the ivy quickly withered.
Qin Sisi was originally sitting inside the ivy ball and tensed up when she saw the ivy withering, thinking she would fall to the ground. Instead, she found herself plumting into a warm, soft embrace.
Ye You, holding Qin Sisi, said to Yun Wang, "I’ll go back by myself, you go help your grandfather with his work. Tell him to rest early and not to overexert himself."
Pu Chen had lost his son in his old age, and Yun Wang and Yun Cheng were still too young. Many tasks needed his personal attention; it had indeed been very hard on him, and Ye You had taken notice.
Yun Wang bowed his head and acknowledged with a yes.
Ye You unleashed Magic Power to conjure a pair of wings and carrying Qin Sisi, soared into the starlit night sky.
As they flew over the bottomless abyss, Qin Sisi instinctively wrapped her arms around Ye You’s neck and buried her head in his chest, listening to his heartbeat, slling the scent of wine on him.
When they were nearing the cave where they lived, Ye You suddenly stopped, looked up at the night sky, and said softly, "Sisi, look at those stars."
Qin Sisi lifted her head, looking up at the starry sky with Ye You, vast and studded with sparkling stars. No matter which world one is in, it remains the sa, seemingly eternal and unchanging.
"I hope that a long, long ti from now, I can still star-gaze with you," Ye You’s rich voice rose again, making Qin Sisi’s heart pound while her eyes began to sting with emotion.
Ye You lowered his head to gaze into Qin Sisi’s eyes and whispered, "Kiss ."
"No, you’ve had too much to drink," Qin Sisi blushed and turned her head away.
"Hurry up, or I’m going to let go," Ye You said, intentionally loosening his grip on Qin Sisi’s arm as he spoke.
Shrieking in fear, Qin Sisi held onto Ye You even tighter. After a mont, she thought to herself, reasoning that with her Wings of Rainbow, why should she fear heights?
Thus, she lifted her head and said to Ye You with feigned indifference, "Go ahead and let go then, I’m not afraid at all."
Ye You fixed his eyes on Qin Sisi’s slightly pursed lips and bent down to kiss her directly.
Qin Sisi instinctively struggled a few tis, then ended up nestled comfortably within Ye You’s warm embrace, yielding to his advances.
The world is vast, the stars are far, and the things one can truly possess in life are so very few.
My wish is very small and can only fit one you.
When Ye You carried Qin Sisi back to the cave they called ho, the night had grown deep, and the surroundings were serene, with only the occasional call of a bird breaking the silence.
Ye You headed straight for the bedroom, collapsing onto the bed with Qin Sisi. His fingers gently caressed her face, sliding over her clear eyes, small nose, rosy lips, and finally pinching her chin as he said in a husky voice, "Dressing up like this, it’s pure torture for ."
"It wasn’t ..." Qin Sisi struggled to defend herself, she had been inexplicably knocked out by Xiao ng and woke up to find herself already in this state.
However, Ye You cared not for the process, only the outco. Qin Sisi knew no explanation was useful, bashfully turning her head to the side, exposing a stretch of snow-white neck which Ye You then kissed directly.
A faint tingling sensation swept over her body, Qin Sisi’s breathing beca more rapid, and she thought hazily, emboldened by alcohol, Ye You wouldn’t really follow through tonight, right?
After a while, Qin Sisi realized Ye You was no longer moving, just burying his head deeply in the crook of her neck.
"Xiao Hei," she called softly, but there was no response. Slightly pushing Ye You away, she discovered that he had already fallen asleep.
Qin Sisi couldn’t help but laugh and cry at herself for getting so nervously worked up over nothing, as it seed Ye You indeed drank quite a bit tonight.
She carefully laid Ye You’s body flat, helped him out of his robe and shirt, covered him with a thin blanket, then she sat beside him, watching over the peaceful slumbering figure.
His breath was steady, and he was deeply asleep, but his brows were furrowed tightly, as if burdened by heavy worries.
Qin Sisi sighed softly, feeling a pang of heartache, and lifted her fingers to smooth out Ye You’s furrowed brows. But soon after, the brows knit together again, and she continued her gentle strokes.
As she smoothed out Ye You’s brows for the third ti, Ye You suddenly grasped her hand, holding it tightly against his heart.
