Chapter 1059: Chapter 1059: Fairy Among Fairies

Before Ye You could respond, Cang Zuo was already startled. She knew her children best, and although her three daughters each had different magical talents, they all shared one characteristic: none were interested in singing or dancing.

The performances by Ya Ling and ng Yu were so stunning that Xiao ng’s impulsive act of rushing to join them seed like a sure way to embarrass herself.

"Xiao ng, stop fooling around and co down!" Cang Zuo chided her daughter in a low voice, fearing she would make a fool of herself and beco the subject of ridicule.

Xiao ng raised her eyebrows at her father, signaling him to relax, and then continued to look at Ye You.

Knowing Xiao ng’s quirky and whimsical nature, Ye You nodded and asked, "Alright, what would you like to perform?" He had heard Qin Sisi ntion that Xiao ng’s music magic was average.

Clearing her throat, Xiao ng said: "I usually just play around with flowers and plants and don’t know how to sing or dance, but just now I went out and heard a beautiful woman playing the zither. The way she played was truly heavenly, a rare delight on this earth. So, I brought her here to offer her music like bringing flowers to the Buddha, as a performance for His Royal Highness."

Cang Zuo and Jing Jing exchanged glances, full of confusion, wondering what Xiao ng was up to.

A flicker of intrigue crossed Ye You’s eyes, as he had been living on Taiyi Mountain for many days and had never seen any zither-playing beauties, except...

Ye You had a guess in mind, and with a slight smile, he said, "Good, let her in."

"Thank you, Your Highness." Xiao ng replied crisply, then raised both palms and shot two pale green beams of light toward the door. Following that, she pulled in a large hollow sphere made of interlaced vines.

The green light in Xiao ng’s hands turned into long vines, which she gently tossed upwards. They hung from the beams, forming a swing, and the large vine sphere was secured in the middle by two long vines, gently swaying with their movent.

Only then did everyone see a woman leaning inside the vine sphere, dressed in bright red, fiery and radiant, dazzlingly brilliant. Her light veil skirt fell through the gaps in the vines, fluttering softly with the sway of the vine sphere.

The woman’s face was also covered with a red veil, making her true features unclear. Looking through the gaps in the vines, her obscured face was like clouds masking fog, indistinct and alluring.

The more indistinct her features, the more they itched the curiosity of the onlookers.

Yun Cheng surreptitiously observed Ye You’s expression, noting his amazent and captivation, and secretly admired Xiao ng’s gamble—as it turned out, the woman in red was indeed an enchantress among enchantresses.

Xiao ng sneakily took out a small white flower and placed it in front of the red-dressed woman’s nose.

"Cough cough..." Qin Sisi was assaulted by an unpleasant odor and coughed twice, then abruptly opened her eyes, only to be startled and dumbfounded by her surroundings.

She found herself in a magnificent banquet hall, with dignified and solemn Clan Leaders seated in order. At the head of the room was His Royal Highness, seated high above. It seed he had indulged in quite a bit of wine, his cheeks faintly flushed. His purple eyes were steadfastly gazing at her, like two stars fallen to the mortal realm.

"Miss, tonight His Royal Highness is hosting a grand banquet for our guests and has specially invited you to perform a piece for everyone," Xiao ng spoke softly to Qin Sisi.

Qin Sisi looked at Xiao ng, finally understanding why she had been brought here, and her gaze carried a hint of reproach.

Xiao ng secretly stuck out her tongue and gestured with her eyes towards Ye You’s direction.

Left with no choice, Qin Sisi faced the inevitability of the mont. If she didn’t continue, both Xiao ng and Ye You would likely face a loss of face.

She sighed and took out the Half Moon zither from her storage ring, only then noticing that she was actually dressed in bright red clothes, a color she had never worn before.

Moreover, the neckline was extrely low, revealing a large expanse of snow-white skin below her neck, infinitely stirring the imagination.

Qin Sisi inwardly cursed Xiao ng, her face blushing like fire, thankful that her veil concealed her embarrassnt, preventing others from noticing and probably not even seeing her face clearly.

Realizing that hardly anyone present knew who she was, Qin Sisi finally felt a bit more relaxed. She thought it over, adjusted her posture, took a proper hold of the Half Moon zither, and gently plucked the strings. The beautiful and lodious music flowed out like silk and thread, lting into the ears of the listeners.

Ye You’s lips curled into a deep smile as he took a sip from his cup.

Despite the change of clothes and the mask, and being wrapped within a vine ball, he still recognized her at first glance.

He had truly not anticipated that she would have such a breathtaking side.

Qin Sisi played Floral Butterfly Dance—since she stepped onto the stage, she aid to deliver the best performance. Lullabies, tranquilizing songs, and the like were definitely not suitable; aggressive pieces like Soul Taker or Puppet Control were even more inappropriate. After so consideration, Floral Butterfly Dance seed to be the most fitting.

The tune was graceful, the lody enchanting, and it could even attract butterflies, which would surely add to the festive atmosphere of Ye You’s banquet!

However, Qin Sisi didn’t realize that ng Yu’s earlier dance had also attracted butterflies, winning admiration. When she attracted even more butterflies, she unintentionally overshadowed ng Yu’s performance.

Indeed, as everyone gradually beca imrsed in the lovely sound of the zither, more and more butterflies fluttered into the banquet hall, dancing around the vine ball enclosing Qin Sisi.

Butterflies of various colors competed in splendor against the swaying deep green vine swing, her big red gauze gown fluttering with charm, and the beautiful sound of the zither was intoxicating...

The thoughts of the audience were basically the sa: this is the true Fairy. The re handful of butterflies that ng Yu attracted was truly insipid, and Ya Ling’s on-the-spot brewing of Ice Flower Wine was child’s play in comparison.

The banquet hall gradually fell silent, everyone holding their breath and listening intently to the moving music, feeling as if missing even a single note would be a great loss.

Chief Chixun of the ilan Family watched the countless butterflies with growing suspicion. The ilan Family’s intrinsic attributes were Music Magic, and Chi Xun himself had a profound appreciation for music; the lady in red before him was clearly no ordinary village girl picked from the countryside.

He pondered for a mont, then turned his head to quietly inquire to Wen Xuan.

Wen Xuan glanced at Qin Sisi and spoke a sentence to Chi Xun in a voice only the two of them could hear.

Clothes and masks can only conceal one’s identity from strangers and acquaintances, and as for forr classmates who had spent three years together, Wen Xuan also recognized Qin Sisi quite quickly.

After receiving Wen Xuan’s response, Chi Xun’s expression beca much more pleased, quietly praising the woman Yi Rou for her discernnt. With such a woman by Ye You’s side, it would be difficult for the likes of ng Yu and Ya Ling to gain Ye You’s favor.

Once the song ended and the last note fell, the butterflies danced for a mont longer before reluctantly taking their leave. The guests still seed to have not had enough, feeling as if the lingering sounds of the zither were still echoing in their ears.

Qin Sisi lifted her head to look at Ye You, and he was looking at her with a smile, his eyes calm as deep pools, yet seemingly burning with a hidden fla.

Qin Sisi bashfully lowered her head, discerning the aning in Ye You’s eyes—he was srized, by her, utterly captivated.
