Bai Xue glanced at Qin Sisi and asked, "Are you afraid I won’t return once I leave?"

Being seen through, Qin Sisi decided to be frank, answering, "Yes."

Bai Xue scoffed and reassured, "Don’t worry, my greatest wish right now is to get revenge. Since you’re helping , why would I leave and not return?"

Qin Sisi turned to look at Ye You, who was quietly lying on the bed, motionless.

Seeing how unperturbed Ye You was, seemingly well-prepared, Qin Sisi understood he had his own considerations. She said nothing more, watching silently as Bai Xue’s figure vanished into the limitless darkness.

Bai Xue smiled shyly and whispered, "I’ve had my money and phone stolen, and I don’t know my way around. Could I borrow your phone to call a friend?"

"Certainly." Shi Yan’s smile was warm as he politely handed her his phone.

"Thank you," Bai Xue uttered gratefully. She took the phone and dialed Qin Sisi. After a brief explanation of her situation, she asked Qin Sisi to pick her up.

Qin Sisi, upon hanging up, carried on practicing her magic nonchalantly. The phone call was rely part of an act.

Bai Xue, with a charming smile, returned the phone to Shi Yan. "Thank you. My friend said she’s currently occupied but will co to pick

up soon."

Shi Yan took back his phone. Under normal circumstances, he should say goodbye and leave. However, his mouth wouldn’t say the words and his feet refused to move.
