Chapter 1035: Chapter 1035: The Vicious Seed
Although roots are usually invisible, they are the most critical and vulnerable part of a plant, unable to withstand fierce attacks. However, protected by the soil, they are rarely damaged, and few can attack them within the soil.
The petals of the Red Flower Demonic Beast were like clad in invincible armor, repelling all of Qin Sisi’s Magic skills, but its roots were not nearly as tough. Under the bombardnt of the Sword of Yama, they suffered heavy damage.
Plant-based Demonic Beasts rely heavily on their root systems to absorb energy from the soil. Now that the root system was destroyed, the aura of the Red Flower Demonic Beast imdiately beca much weaker.
After severely damaging the roots of the Red Flower Demonic Beast, Qin Sisi quickly swallowed a Spirit Revitalizing Pill, then leaped up from the soil and once again unleashed the Magic skill of the Sword of Yama towards the flower of the Red Flower Demonic Beast.
The Red Flower Demonic Beast, already overpowered, had no choice but to sacrifice the car to save the commander, bringing together its five petals and curling all its vines around in front of the flower to protect it.
The surging Gold Attribute Magic Power transford into the shape of a giant sword, leaving destruction in its wake.
The vines in front of the red flower could not escape the fate of annihilation, and in an instant, they were blasted into countless tiny fragnts by the massive energy wave, scattering into the surrounding grass and leaving no trace.
Once invincible, the outer part of the petals also lost energy supply and could no longer resist the fierce onslaught of the Sword of Yama. Fresh petals withered, and the bright red color began to dissipate, turning into a lifeless black.
One petal detached from the flower, drifting down powerlessly, followed by the second, third...
Just when Qin Sisi thought she had won, a small red sphere flew out from the hole in the middle of the flower and sped away at an extrely fast speed.
Qin Sisi was stunned for a mont, then suddenly realized that it was the seed of the Red Flower Demonic Beast. The flaw of plant-based Demonic Beasts is that they cannot move, but they can continue their life through the spread of their seeds.
The Red Flower Demonic Beast knew it had been defeated. With its body left with no other choice but death, it used the last of its Magic Power to release its seeds, hoping to evade the pursuit of its opponent and allow its life to continue.
After understanding this, Qin Sisi imdiately summoned the Wings of Rainbow and gave chase. If she allowed the seed to escape, she wasn’t sure whether she would be deed successful in slaying a Fourth Order Demonic Beast. If the Illusion picture scroll did not recognize it, then all her hard work would have been in vain.
The seed that had just separated from the main body was not powerful and was soon caught up by Qin Sisi.
"Fire Dragon Lock Chain!" Qin Sisi shouted sharply, her palms flipping, and several golden chains of fla ford from her palms, blocking the path and retreat of the red seed.
The several chains of fla intertwined with each other, forming a blazing Fireball, trapping the red seed inside, with nowhere to escape.
The red seed inherited the mories of the Red Flower Demonic Beast. At this mont, it both regretted provoking Qin Sisi and resented her for relentlessly pursuing and trying to annihilate it.
With the ntality of "I’d rather die than let you get away with it," the red seed suddenly swelled up, growing larger and larger, until its surface pressed against the Fireball ford by the Fire Dragon Lock Chains.
Qin Sisi saw the changes in the red seeds and had an ominous premonition. She instinctively moved back, but it was a bit too late.
With no way out, the red seeds chose to self-destruct. The vitality of a Fourth Order Demonic Beast was still incredibly strong. In its all-out self-destruction, toxic red smoke billowed out, corroding the Fire Dragon Lock Chain. The fla’s brightness swiftly dimd and eventually vanished into nothingness.
Seeing this, Qin Sisi was shocked and hastily fluttered her Wings of Rainbow to retreat, but the force of the explosion was too powerful. The hurricane swept the red smoke through the air, wreaking havoc where it passed, withering and killing all the flowers and trees.
No one can avoid breathing, and even though Qin Sisi retreated quickly, she still inhaled so particles of the red smoke. Instantly, she felt as if her internal organs were burning, and the sharp pain made it impossible for her to control her Wings of Rainbow any longer.
She had no choice but to land and quickly focused her Earth Attribute Magic Power to burrow into the soil.
Taking temporary refuge from the toxic red smoke, the bit that she inhaled still left Qin Sisi in excruciating pain, almost passing out. Struggling, she took out a Jade lting Pill with detoxifying effects from her storage ring and placed it into her mouth.
Every ti she t with Ye You, he would give her many of the pills he concocted, and now as a Fourth-level Alchemist, the pills he crafted suited Qin Sisi well.
The detoxifying effect of the Jade lting Pill was excellent, and it quickly eliminated the toxicity within Qin Sisi’s body. However, her body had still sustained so damage, and as the pill took effect, she passed out.
Half an hour later, Qin Sisi woke up and realized she was still hiding in the soil. She wanted to go out and check the situation but was worried the toxic smoke hadn’t dispersed. She waited patiently for another half an hour before carefully moving upward.
She first exposed her forehead and eyes to observe her surroundings and noticed that the red smoke had dissipated. However, due to the toxic smoke effects, the vegetation within dozens of miles had turned to ash, and no birds or beasts remained—a scene of desolation.
Qin Sisi crawled out of the soil to see the once lush, vibrant, and beautiful place reduced to such a state. A shiver ran through her, unable to believe that the Red Flower Demonic Beast had been so vicious as to force so many lives to accompany it in death.
Now, without the obstruction of tall trees, she could see far into the distance. The areas eroded by the red smoke had beco barren lands devoid of any living creatures; naturally, no Demonic Beasts would inhabit such places.
Knowing there was nothing left for her here, Qin Sisi summoned her Wings of Rainbow and flew towards the horizon.
The desolate eroded lands gradually fell behind her, and signs of greenery representing life and vitality again appeared in her view.
Qin Sisi heaved a sigh of relief, intending to find a suitable place to land, when she suddenly felt a powerful surge of Magic approaching. She looked down and saw a massive Fireball shooting towards her.
The Fireball was about one ter in diater, with intense flas flickering around it, resembling a small sun descending upon the world.
Qin Sisi swiftly cast her Magic skill, Bursting Water Bullets, releasing several glittering blue water orbs to confront the Fireball’s onslaught. Water beats fire, in theory, this shouldn’t be an issue.
However, the power of the Bursting Water Bullets seed insufficient to stop the raging Fireball. As water collided with fire, the water orbs were quickly dispersed by the Fireball, turning into a few inconsequential drops of rain falling towards the ground.
