Chapter 103: Chapter 103 The Stumbling Progress_1

From a sunny afternoon to the early evening when the lights were lit, Qin Sisi had lost count of how many tis she had tried. All she saw was the piece of paper still lying flat on the table, showing no signs of catching fire.

Ye You put the ten newly refined elixirs into a bottle, then withdrew his mind from the Portable Space. The black cat on the bed slowly opened his eyes.

Ye You looked at the sky, then at Qin Sisi and the piece of paper on the table, understanding the current situation.

"Sisi, I’m hungry."

The sudden voice behind her startled Qin Sisi, who was concentrating on practicing magic. She took a breath, turned around and said discontentedly, "I’ve been practicing magic all afternoon and I’m not hungry, you’ve only slept half the day and you’re hungry?"

Taking advantage of Qin Sisi’s turnaround, Ye You lept into her arms. Qin Sisi had no choice but to hold him.

Ye You quickly hooked his claws around Qin Sisi’s neck and said sowhat shalessly, "I’m hungry. If you don’t feed , I’ll eat you."

Qin Sisi was taken aback, and Ye You was already leaning in to kiss her soft lips.

Qin Sisi hurriedly turned her head to the side and said shyly and helplessly, "Okay, stop fooling around, I’ll go buy you food."

Ye You finally let go, jumping back to the bed, looking up at Qin Sisi with a smile in his eyes.

Qin Sisi blushed and glared at Ye You, then hurried out after tidying up.

Ye You watched Qin Sisi’s disappearing figure with an inaudible sigh.

After the food was brought back, Ye You imdiately began to eat voraciously. Influenced by his rapid eating, Qin Sisi also began to feel hungry and joined him in eating.

In the end, Qin Sisi ended up eating more than Ye You.

Looking at the half bun in her hand, Qin Sisi gave Ye You an embarrassed smile.

Ye You chuckled and said, "You’ve worked hard practicing magic, and I’ve just slept half a day. Of course, you should eat more."

Blinking her eyes, Qin Sisi looked at Ye You’s cunning expression and felt like she was being tricked.

After dinner, Qin Sisi continued to practice fire magic, but even late into the night, she still couldn’t ignite the paper.

With a hopeless and frustrated sigh, Qin Sisi recalled her agreent with the ssenger of Death the night before. She temporarily stopped practicing, taking out the Joss Paper and yellow paper she had bought in the afternoon and placed them in the northeast corner of the room.

By three in the early morning, Qin Sisi lit the Joss Paper and yellow paper with a lighter.

The red and yellow flas gently rendered the black ashes scattered around. In a few minutes, a large pack of Joss Paper and yellow paper had turned into a small pile of ashes.

Qin Sisi was montarily lost, wondering if these objects had reached another world. In that other world, what could this money buy?

Snapping out of her reverie, Qin Sisi looked up just in ti to catch a glimpse of the stubbornly resistant piece of paper on the table that had eluded her all along. In a burst of frustration, she quickly summoned her magic power, chanted the spell, brought her index and middle fingers together, pointed fiercely at the paper, and shouted sharply, "Fire magic, ignite!"

With a "whoosh" sound, a cluster of red flas sprang up, and the paper that had been lying on the table for a long ti finally turned into ashes.

Qin Sisi froze, staring blankly at the sight in front of her. After a long while, she let out a cry of joy. Turning around, she picked up Ye You from the bed and said elatedly, "Xiao Hei, I did it! I really did it!"

Ye You’s eyes were full of gentle amusent. He gently kissed her forehead and said in a low voice, "Well done, this is your reward."

A blush appeared on Qin Sisi’s face. She put Ye You back on the bed and said, "Let

try again."

But Ye You stopped Qin Sisi and said, "Did you forget what I said? Haste makes waste. You’ve practiced long enough today. It’s ti to rest."

"But..." Qin Sisi was sowhat unwilling. She wanted to seize the montum she had gained.

Ye You jumped into Qin Sisi’s arms and said softly, "Studying magic isn’t achieved overnight. One has to maintain good health to persist. Be a good girl. That’s it for today. Let’s go to bed."

Ye You’s tone was gentle but resolute, leaving no room for refusal. Qin Sisi reluctantly got into bed to rest with Ye You.

After getting up the next day, Qin Sisi went out to buy breakfast. After finishing eating with Ye You, she imdiately took out a piece of paper and prepared to continue practicing.

Ye You remained silent, sitting on the bed and watching quietly.

Qin Sisi tried for the first ti, but didn’t succeed.

She tried a second ti and failed again.

Qin Sisi took several deep breaths to calm her mind, then closed her eyes to find the Magic Source. With a focused and determined spirit, she gently recited the spell and pointed at the paper with her two fingers, "Fire magic, ignite!"

Finally, the paper did not disappoint Qin Sisi’s long-held hopes. A cluster of flas rose into the air, quickly turning the paper into ash.

Yesterday, it had taken countless attempts to succeed. Today, she had succeeded on her third try. Qin Sisi couldn’t help but feel overjoyed and turned to look at Ye You.

However, due to her tense emotions, the two fingers held together did not relax, and another cluster of flas shot from her fingertips. As Qin Sisi turned, the flas rushed towards Ye You.

Qin Sisi cried out in alarm, "Watch out!"

With a flash in Ye You’s eyes, he lifted his paw lightly, and a column of water shot out from his paw, instantly extinguishing the flas.

The water, having accomplished its task, fell to the ground under the force of gravity, soaking most of the bed. By the ti Qin Sisi reacted, a large part of the bed was wet.

Stunned, Qin Sisi looked at the wet bed, then turned to Ye You with embarrassnt and stamred, "I... "

Standing up, Ye You said seriously, "Let this be a lesson. This kind of rookie mistake cannot be repeated."

Looking into Ye You’s deep purple eyes, Qin Sisi felt a twinge of guilt, and she replied softly, "Yes, I’ll rember."

Seeing Qin Sisi’s pitiful appearance, Ye You softened and sighed. He reached out his paw and patted her head, saying, "Don’t rush, practice makes perfect."

Qin Sisi pointed at the soaked bed sheets and asked embarrassingly, "What do we do about this?"

"No biggie, watch ."

Ye You confidently extended his paw and began to use fire magic to dry the bedding. Using too much fire could damage the fabric, and using too little would take a longer ti. But for Ye You, these problems were not a hurdle.

In less than fifteen minutes, the bedding on the bed was completely dry, warm and cozy to the touch.

A look of envy shone in Qin Sisi’s eyes, wondering when she could apply fire magic as freely as Ye You.
