Chapter 102: Chapter 102: Learning Fire Magic for the First Ti_1
Qin Sisi and Ye You took turns to wash up in the bathroom, then lay together in bed, sleeping in each other’s arms.
Perhaps due to the fatigue of the past few days, both of them slept soundly till noon the next day before lazily getting out of bed.
The private detective agency commissioned to investigate Shi Yan had not yet responded, but Qin Sisi had not expected any imdiate results since the stipulated tiline was a week.
Qin Sisi went out to buy so food and took it ho to eat with Ye You. Along the way, she bought a large bag of Joss Paper and yellow paper, planning to burn them that evening for the ssenger of Death.
With so free ti in the afternoon, Ye You guided Qin Sisi to explore her Magic Source again.
Having found her Magic Source before, Qin Sisi was used to the process. Through Ye You’s infused Spiritual Power, she soon saw her Magic Source situated in her dantian.
Standing nearby, Ye You advised, "Pay close attention to your Magic Source and see if there are any differences from the last ti."
Qin Sisi sat cross-legged on the bed, eyes half-closed, focusing her emotions on the milky white spinning structure.
After a long while, Qin Sisi voiced her hesitation, "There don’t seem to be major changes. But if I have to ntion any, it appears to be a bit denser in color than before."
The Magic Source last ti was like a layer of faint white gauze, semi-transparent in most areas, almost nothing near the edges. This ti, although still milky white, it seed riche, with thin marks visible near the edges.
Ye You smiled subtly, proclaiming aloud, "That’s good; it ans your Magic power is gradually increasing."
Opening her eyes, Qin Sisi excitedly asked Ye You, "Really?"
"Of course it’s true," Ye You reassured.
Thrilled, Qin Sisi thought for a mont before asking, "Is it due to the Blood Covenant? Is my Magic power growing stronger due to the continuous fusion with your blood?"
Ye You paused before replying, "The Blood Covenant plays a part indeed, but there’s another crucial factor."
"What?" Qin Sisi stared expectantly at Ye You, waiting for his explanation.
Ye You picked up the Golden Tower Phantom Crystal hanging around Qin Sisi’s neck. The tiny pyramid within, under the sun’s rays, glittered brilliantly.
Touching the Golden Tower Phantom Crystal, Qin Sisi said, seemingly understanding Ye You’s point, "Is it this?"
Ye You nodded, declaring solemnly, "As I told you before, it absorbs the power of the sun and transforms it into Spiritual Power that you can absorb. Your rapidly increasing Magic power wouldn’t have been possible without it."
Thinking deeply, Qin Sisi brought the Golden Tower Phantom Crystal closer, inspecting it, before muttering, "So I really owe my thanks to Master Hong Bo."
ntioning Master Hong Bo, a shadow of concern passed over Ye You’s eyes. Had he foreseen Qin Sisi’s connection with Magic when giving her this item? Perhaps, anticipating future hardships, he’d given Qin Sisi this heavenly treasure for protection.
Waving her hand in front of Ye You, Qin Sisi asked curiously, "What’s on your mind?"
Returning to reality, Ye You shook his head, saying, "Nothing special. I was just thinking that the essence of the power of the sun is fire spiritual power. Having absorbed it for a while now, among the five elents - tal, wood, water, fire, and earth - your fire spiritual power should be the strongest. Therefore, I plan to teach you so Fire Magic first."
"Really?" Qin Sisi jumped with excitent. She’d looked forward to this day for a long ti. Until now, she’d countered ghosts thanks only to the artifacts - Wings of Rainbow, Divine Dog’s Fury - gifted by Ye You and had not known any Magic of her own.
Ye You, glimpsing Qin Sisi’s joy, couldn’t help but smile warmly.
Ye You promptly started teaching Qin Sisi a spell of Fire Magic. Once she’d morized it, he ticulously explained to her how to call upon the Magic power from her Magic Source to work in conjunction with the spell and cast Fire Attribute Magic.
After imparting all the theoretical knowledge, Ye You placed a piece of paper on the table, telling Qin Sisi, "Now, use the Fire Magic I just taught you to light this piece of paper on fire."
Qin Sisi, standing anxiously at the table, took a few deep breaths, recalling Ye You’s teachings. Following his instructions, she called upon the Magic power from her dantian, softly recited the spell, brought together the fingers as taught, and pointed quickly towards the paper, loudly declaring, "Fire Magic, ignite!"
However, one minute passed, then two...
The paper remained unaltered, laid placidly on the table.
Qin Sisi stomped her foot, feeling both anxious and disappointed.
Seeing Qin Sisi’s disheartened face, Ye You reminded her, "Rember what I’ve told you before?"
Qin Sisi turned her head to look at Ye You, her eyes not blinking.
Ye You continued, "Haste makes waste. Quality changes are brought about by quantity changes. Mastery of any skill requires consistent practice."
The anxiety in Qin Sisi’s heart gradually subsided at Ye You’s leisurely voice. Staring at him, she earnestly said, "I understand."
With that, Qin Sisi resud her posture, preparing for her next attempt.
However, Ye You lazily yawned and said, "I feel sleepy; I’m going to take a nap. You keep practicing."
With that, he jumped onto the bed without looking back, curled up, and closed his eyes.
Qin Sisi muttered puzzlingly, "Feeling sleepy so soon? Didn’t he just wake up?"
However, with the task at hand, Qin Sisi didn’t dwell on it and continued practicing the Fire Magic that Ye You had just taught her.
Out of Qin Sisi’s sight, Ye You opened his eyes, his purple irises moving about. Of course, he wasn’t sleepy. He just didn’t want Qin Sisi to feel more embarrassed and nervous being watched by him as she failed ti and again.
Hearing the sound of Qin Sisi practicing Magic, Ye You felt restless. Sadly, he could not practice Magic in his cat form. Knowing that his enemies and allies in the Demon Sacred Realm were likely practicing diligently while he remained stagnant filled Ye You with frustration.
Finally managing to calm his mind, Ye You closed his eyes, his spirit entering his Portable Space. He started organizing the items there, and, seeing a good amount of Spirit Grass remaining, sat down to concoct elixirs, using different Spirit Grasses in combination with the Ziwei Heaven Fire.
Since he couldn’t practice Magic, he decided to take this opportunity to improve his Alchemy skills.
