Zhang Lingying was utterly convinced.

"You like Ji Weitian, but Ji Weitian likes Qin Nanyu, and you probably know that, so you dare not tell her how you feel, preferring to be her good friend, right?" Zhang Lingying said bluntly.
The mont her words fell, the color drained from Leng Jian’s face across from her and it took on an unsightly hue.

She took the kettle from Leng Jian’s hand and poured a full cup for herself, then raised it up with a righteous air,

The shadows in Leng Jian’s eyes dissipated bit by bit as he watched the carefree Zhang Lingying.
Compelled, he picked up his glass of water and clinked it against hers.
It wasn’t until after he finished drinking that he realized what he had done and couldn’t help but frown.

The young girl in front of him downed her cup of water, smacked her lips as if unfulfilled, "Do you want to drink so liquor? How about I join you for a drink?"
She turned to call for a server to bring the alcohol.
