"..." Qin Nanyu looked away and remained silent.

The hesitation in his manner was just like that of a little wife, wronged yet still begging for peace.

Ji Weitian’s brows furrowed deeply, and finally, she played her trump card.

"If you don’t talk, I will throw your suitcase out now and let you fend for yourself!"

"It was Kali."

The voices of the two people followed one after the other.

Then, the room again fell into utter silence.

In the air lingered a strange atmosphere.

Qin Nanyu reached out to retrieve the blanket she had tossed on the chair, and lie back down on the bed, covering himself from head to toe once again.

Ji Weitian stood frozen by the bed, still holding a tube of anti-swelling ointnt, staring blankly at him.

Was it really Kali?

How could Kali bear to beat him up like this?

Besides, he was Kali’s boss; how could Kali dare to hit him... unless...

Ji Weitian thought of sothing, and her look towards Qin Nanyu changed, "You didn’t do sothing to Kali, did you?"

"She knows." Qin Nanyu’s muffled voice ca from under the blanket.

Ji Weitian was stunned for a few seconds, then sothing dawned on her, and her eyes widened in surprise.

He ant that Kali knew about the incident from five years ago?

That is to say, Kali was beating him up entirely to vent her anger for her?

Ji Weitian’s mouth hung open, not quite sure what to say.

She felt a bit of sympathy for him, yet also wanted to applaud Kali, such sisterhood!

For her sake, she even gave up on her own idol, didn’t hesitate to beat him, nearly disfiguring Qin Nanyu.

"Ji Weitian, you are snickering."

Qin Nanyu, from under a corner of the blanket he had lifted, pinned her with his dark gaze as he faintly spoke.

"I am not." Ji Weitian flatly denied, "I am feeling sorry for you, and I also think Kali isn’t such a violent person... although she did indeed go a bit far."

Ji Weitian saw the bruises on his face, and couldn’t help but feel heartache.

Such a handso face, it would be such a waste if it was really ruined.

"So, can I stay in your room to recover?" Qin Nanyu asked pitifully.

As he said this, he flipped back the blanket, turning the side of his face that was most severely injured towards Ji Weitian.

The crisscrossing palm prints were still clearly visible.

Kali really did hit him hard!

Ji Weitian sighed.

One second ago, she felt Qin Nanyu deserved it, but now she couldn’t help but feel heartache.

"Kali is still a girl, and when she was angry enough to hit you, why didn’t you just dodge?"

"Regarding what happened back then, no matter what, it was my fault; Kali was angry for your sake, I deserved it." Qin Nanyu’s voice was a little hoarse and sounded choked, pitiful to the extre.

Even when beaten, he didn’t want to make a fuss, not to ntion his sincere attitude of admitting his mistake, along with the striking bruises on his face...

Ji Weitian simply could not find the heart to drive him away.

As she hesitated, Qin Nanyu turned over and sat up, suddenly reaching out to grab her, placing her hand on his still swollen face.

"Ji Weitian, if there is still any grievance in your heart, you can also beat , I promise I won’t fight back. I just want to stay here, to properly accompany you and the child, is that okay?"

"..."

Ji Weitian, startled, pulled her hand back, unable for a while to utter a "no", eting his deep black gaze, her mind went blank, "If you like staying in this room, then stay. I’m going to the store to pick up Ruirui and Yaoyao."

And then she fled in a panic!
