President Qin insisted adamantly.
The more he did, the more Mr. Leng felt uncomfortable.
President Qin could use the program and the dia to loudly proclaim his romance with Ji Weitian, but such false news could only deceive those who were unaware of the inside story.
For Mr. Leng, he knew better than anyone that Ji Weitian and President Qin were not together.
President Qin was also well aware that his little tricks couldn’t fool Mr. Leng, which was why he never so blatantly claid his territory in front of Mr. Leng, to avoid being too clever by half.
But today...
His behavior was too abnormal!
Every sentence seed deliberately spoken for Mr. Leng to hear.
On the surface, he was acknowledging Mr. Leng’s importance to Little Glutinous Rice Dumpling, recognizing his godfather status, but the more Mr. Leng pondered his thanks, the more sothing seed off.
It was as if he was speaking with the tone of Little Glutinous Rice Dumpling’s biological father!
Mr. Leng couldn’t determine in that mont whether President Qin knew sothing or not; he feared that showing too much emotion might give sothing away, but accepting his thanks like this was incredibly frustrating.
It was the first ti Mr. Leng had heard soone thank him, and to be thanked in such an uncomfortable way...
He could only repeatedly emphasize that his care for Ji Weitian and her daughter had nothing to do with President Qin.
President Qin didn’t mind his resistance and calmly drank his coffee. Rembering sothing, he asked another question.
"When I arrived just now, Mr. Leng seed ready to go out. Is there sothing important that you need to attend to personally? I hope I haven’t delayed you."
President Qin’s question wouldn’t have been a problem, but as he asked, Mr. Leng’s expression beca montarily frozen.
Indeed, he had sothing important.
The incident of Luo Xinyan taking Ruirui had occurred four years ago; the investigation required ti and evidence.
He had an appointnt with his lawyer today to et and confirm the evidence and proof that needed to be provided.
Inside his backpack, aside from a laptop, he also had a series of materials related to the case from back then...
If President Qin discovered that he was helping Ji Weitian sue Luo Xinyan, he would likely connect the dots to other matters.
Mr. Leng took a sip of his coffee, seemingly casually avoiding the topic, "Nothing much, just getting bored at ho and wanted to sit in a café for a change."
"So, Mr. Leng is free? Then we can have a good chat today," President Qin said, as if he couldn’t see Mr. Leng’s urgency, and went with the flow.
Mr. Leng: "..."
The lawyer had already made nurous calls, and Mr. Leng hadn’t answered any.
As President Qin spoke those words, the lawyer’s call ca through again, and in a fit of agitation, Mr. Leng turned his phone off.
He looked up at President Qin with a dark expression.
What on earth did he want today?!
"I don’t recall having such a good relationship with President Qin that we could et for afternoon tea. If we really needed to et, it shouldn’t be here, but in a fighting ring, right?" Mr. Leng confird he wouldn’t have ti to et with the lawyer and his tone with President Qin beca less polite.
He had always considered himself a patient man.
But President Qin had a way of turning everyone’s patience into a murderous impulse, making them wish to kill and be done with it!
To put it bluntly, he was just too good at drawing ire!
President Qin, as if oblivious to Mr. Leng’s provocation, leisurely sipped his coffee, taunting.
"Mr. Leng must be joking. We are all civilized people, and I have soone at ho who strictly forbids fighting."
