Qin Nanyu led his daughter out of the living room when he heard his son clearly articulating his grievances.

The miserable appearance almost made him feel sorry—if it hadn’t been about badmouthing him.

He wanted to go up and deal with the brat, but as he got closer, he noticed Ji Weitian’s expression was off, and it suddenly dawned on him that she might really believe the little guy’s words.

Qin Nanyu paused, "Ji Weitian, you’re a mature adult now, you should have your own judgnt. Qin Morui is just pretending to be pitiable to win your sympathy!"

"Ruirui is only four years old, what’s wrong with wanting people to care for him? You’re all grown up, and yet you always want to take care of you, are you pretending to be pitiable too?" Ji Weitian argued logically as she held her son.

Qin Nanyu: "..."

He was indeed pretending to be pitiable to gain sympathy, and now the little guy was copying him; he suddenly felt like he was a lifting stone to drop on his own foot.

What was this?

Does a crooked beam lead to a skewed rafter?

He genuinely injured his back, and this brat didn’t have anything wrong with him, just squeezed out a couple of tears, and had Ji Weitian completely bewildered.

Comparing people can really kill you!

Qin Nanyu wanted to say more, but Ji Weitian had already carried the little guy into the living room, asking the butler to order the kitchen to bake so chicken wings for him.

"This..." The butler hesitated, his face uncertain.

Catching a glimpse of Qin Nanyu entering the living room, he felt even more conflicted.

"Ji Weitian, you’re spoiling him," Qin Nanyu tried to reason.

Ji Weitian rolled up her sleeves to argue, "Ruirui is still your biological son, can’t you be a little gentler with him?"

"Then can you be a little gentler with ?" Qin Nanyu suddenly spoke.

"Of course, I can... What the heck?" Ji Weitian said, half-choked.

She blinked and then stared at him as she ca back to her senses.

They were discussing the children’s issues, why was he bringing himself into it?

He wasn’t a four-year-old baby.

And what kind of dad uses his own son to negotiate with soone...

"Mommy, I don’t want to eat chicken wings anymore, could you take ho?" the little guy whimpered, hugging Ji Weitian’s neck like a little orphan.

Ji Weitian’s heart clenched.

She wasn’t really the little guy’s mom, and she couldn’t possibly fight Qin Nanyu for custody of the son.

All she could do was try her best to improve the relationship between father and son.

Ji Weitian pursed her lips and proposed in a negotiating tone, "How about this, as long as you don’t irritate , I’ll try to control my attitude towards you, and you treat Ruirui a little better."

"How does it count as irritating you?" Qin Nanyu shalessly asked.

Ji Weitian: "Like now."

Qin Nanyu: "..."

While these three people were arguing heatedly, the forgotten Little Glutinous Rice Dumpling acted like a police dog, sniffing around Ji Weitian.

Sensing a scent that didn’t belong to Ji Weitian, with his big eyes fluttering, he suddenly approached Qin Nanyu and whispered, "Daddy, Mommy just went on a date with soone."

"Ji Weitian, who did you just go on a date with?" Qin Nanyu blurted out without thinking.

Coming to his senses, realizing he probably didn’t have the right to question her, he casually pointed to the Little Glutinous Rice Dumpling in his arms, "Yaoyao said it."

Seeing Ji Weitian silent, his eyes slightly darkened.

The next second, Ji Weitian suddenly beckoned him with her finger, asking him to co closer.

She lowered her voice, mysteriously speaking.

"Qin Nanyu, how about we make a deal?"

"..."

"If you promise that for one month, no matter what happens, you won’t lose your temper with Ruirui and be a gentle father, I’ll tell you a huge secret."
