Jiang Mian wasn’t the only one auditioning today; He Lei had picked five or six good candidates from the actors he was in contact with for a collective audition.

No wonder, Xia Sheng would be dissatisfied.

Who would be happy to see the duck that’s almost in their mouth fly away?

It’s just that He Lei was a late bloor, only achieving success in his thirties, and now approaching fifty, he may not necessarily be willing to resort to these tactics, even if that person was also very important to him.

Xia Sheng was gambling.

But this was a gamble she was bound to lose.

"Almost ti, it’s our turn."

Luo Ting ca over to urge Jiang Mian after receiving a notification from a staff mber.

Jiang Mian closed the script and stood up.

"Relax, don’t be nervous; with that nearly worn-out script you have, you’ll know whatever you draw."

The audition involved randomly drawing content from the script, but the actors auditioning had all switched to plain white clothes, aiming to create an imrsive feeling for the viewers.

Luo Ting and Yangyang watched the slender figure head off, thinking how this young lady had really endured a lot.

The scene Jiang Mian drew was one of a push-and-pull nature.

The female lead was a black-hearted rabbit in sheep’s clothing, outwardly docile but actually very harsh.

The scene was a true test of an actor’s gaze, as most of the dynamics were hidden within the details.

There were three people sitting in front of her: Director He Lei, an old actor with a thoughtful expression, and soone who appeared to be the editor of the film.

He Lei introduced Jiang Mian softly to the old actor by his side.

She lifted her gaze and sized her up, a pretty girl indeed.

Just hope she’s not just a vase.

He Lei said, "We can begin now."

To enhance the overall feel, they had specifically chosen a fitting bgm for the audition.

As the music started, Jiang Mian’s languid and beautiful eyes instantly transford, becoming cool and sharp.

Her facial expression remained unchanged, her fingertips pressing lightly against the pads of her fingers.

Then she smiled, her pleasant and lodious voice sounding, "You and ?"

Her voice, rolling leisurely with a seductive undertone, her clear and clean eyes shimring, "aning nothing at all?"

The three sitting down shifted their expressions as they watched the woman beco the character in a split second, a flash of amazent in their eyes.

Everything around them seed to make them more like outsiders.

The old actor’s frown relaxed, and a pleased smile appeared on his face.

When the music stopped, Jiang Mian slowly erged from the character, nodding slightly.

He Lei looked at the materials in his hand, "I’ve heard from my brother that you’re quite good; today, upon seeing you, it’s truly a revelation. Have you lost weight?"

Jiang Mian answered honestly, "Yes, I’ve controlled my weight intentionally. The female lead is cold and frail; I did it to better fit the role."

He Lei nodded, then whispered sothing to the scriptwriter beside him.

The old actor suddenly asked, "How old are you?"

Jiang Mian was sowhat surprised, "24."

The old actor said nothing more, "The path of acting is long; you have the talent and the willingness to work hard, so give it your all."

"Yes, thank you."

He Lei waved his hand, "You can go out and wait for notification, call the next one in."

When Jiang Mian ca out, she was sowhat surprised. The audition was over this quickly?

Luo Ting and Yangyang greeted Jiang Mian imdiately upon her exit, "How did it go? You didn’t get scolded, did you?"

Huh?

"Weren’t you supposed to have co out being scolded?"

Jiang Mian shook her slender fingertips, "How could that happen? They praised ."

Due to the presence of other people, Luo Ting and Yangyang held back their emotions too.

It looked like a sure thing.

When it was finally announced that Jiang Mian was confird for the female lead in "Floating Life," she herself was sowhat in a daze.

So fast!

"Don’t space out, get so rest, you’ll have to start getting ready to join the crew."

During this nearly month-long break when Jiang Mian wasn’t joining any crew, the entire internet was waiting to see her excitent, and now she had decisively slapped those faces—it was all very exhilarating.
