"You’re all here." Sophia walked in smiling, unsure if Zane should follow her.

Seeing Ethan there as well, Zane followed them inside.

Zane’s lips curved into an inscrutable arc as he pointed at Ethan’s lips.

Ethan looked at himself in the mirror.

Oops, lipstick smudged.

"Why are you here? I was just about to head out." Nathan looked at Sophia.

Sophia walked over to her side and held her hand.

"I ca to say goodbye, we have to leave early, Zane’s flight is tonight, we need to pack." Sophia glanced at the man beside her.

Nathan looked at Zane briefly before withdrawing her gaze.

Beside them, Hugh glanced over at Ethan, "Are you going too?"

Ethan shook his head and whispered sothing in her ear, making Hugh smile and nod without asking further.

Ethan murmured sothing and Hugh’s ears turned red.

She withdrew her gaze and remained silent.

"If you’re in a hurry, you should head back first. Next ti, let’s have dinner together. I’m afraid I might not have been a good host today." Nathan offered.

"Mr. Gable did a thorough job, Miss Jennings is lucky." Zane laughed.

"Thank you, Mr. Sterling." Nathan was unsure how to respond.

Clay Gable indeed left no detail unattended, surprising for soone not yet married.

Who knows what marriage will be like; it’s sothing worth anticipating.

Huh?

Anticipating?

Nathan thought she was crazy for having such thoughts.

"Then we’ll be off." Sophia squeezed her hand, "Be happy!"

"I definitely will!" Nathan blushed and smiled.

"Nathan, I also need to leave first, there’s sothing I have to deal with." Hugh said at this mont.

She needed to handle the man from earlier.

Nathan naturally knew about it; letting them leave ahead was perfectly fine.

The next part of the event was just the al, nothing significant.

After saying their goodbyes, Sophia and Zane left hand in hand.

Hugh and Ethan followed behind.

Zane turned and asked, "Need help?"

"No need." Ethan declined.

If Zane got involved, that wouldn’t be good.

Besides, with Hugh, Ethan had a chance to shine; he wasn’t willing to let another man do the job.

"Alright, contact anyti if sothing cos up." Zane hugged Sophia and then they left.

Sophia surreptitiously waved at Hugh.

Hugh nodded.

And they parted ways.

Sitting in the car, Sophia leaned on Zane’s shoulder, "Weren’t you scheduled to leave these days? Why so suddenly?"

"Things over there are quite tricky, I was supposed to go a few days earlier but wanted to stay with you more." Zane held her tight.

He had ntioned ordering a gown for Sophia, inviting Professor Fumble, but to his surprise, Professor Fumble was Sophia herself.

This put him in quite a dilemma.

Now Ethan had found the top-ranked designer abroad, Mr. Skeech, who traveled the world and was taking a break for half a month; if Zane didn’t go now, it might be hard to schedule ti with him.

He hadn’t told Sophia.

He had wanted to make her so dresses himself for a long ti, but never found the ti to do it.

With Sophia’s na ranking second abroad, no other designer could be a lesser choice than her.

Finding Mr. Skeech had been really demanding.

Plus, there’s the collaboration with Steven, so these two matters were lumped together.

They lived not far apart.

Coincidentally, Steven knew Mr. Skeech too, which made things easier.

"What do I do if I miss you already?" Sophia shrunk into his embrace, full of reluctance.

Zane’s lips curved upward.

She had never been this clingy before.

In her life, Zane was never her priority, at least not before.

Her foremost focus was always design, followed by Zane; she was the type who could work on designs until midnight, forgetting she had a husband waiting in bed.

But sohow, she beca increasingly attached.

Zane beca the man on the tip of her heart.

He was very satisfied with Sophia’s expression and state now.

"Even if you miss , hold back, don’t act recklessly." He rasped, pinching her side.

Sophia knew what he was implying, directly raised herself, and climbed over to sit on his lap.

Zane swallowed, letting out a soft grunt.

"What’s the matter? Craving?"

His gaze was intense, like two fiery sparks that could ignite everything around them with the slightest mistake.

Sophia’s eyes were tender as water, staring directly at him, the profound affection in her eyes as vast and tumultuous as the sea without a trace of concealnt.

"Yes."

She replied sweetly.

Zane’s eyes glead with a bright and clear smile, carrying a hint of amusent.

"You better hold it in for !" he murmured affectionately, pecking her lips.

He knew it was tough.

After twenty-eight years of bland sustenance, eting Sophia was like finally tasting at, and once he’d had it, he couldn’t possibly settle for less.

Resist? It was indeed hard to resist.

Sophia ignored his words and kissed him passionately instead.

She just wanted to spend more ti with him before his business trip, or else their next eting would only be through a phone screen.

Their kiss was fervent, the partition in the car rose, making the confined space in the backseat feel particularly heated.

At that mont, Sophia didn’t concern herself with her surroundings.

Yet she held back from making any noise.

When the car stopped in the underground parking garage, Butler Langley had already skillfully exited.

Zane, holding her hand, opened the elevator beneath the villa and stepped inside.

The elevator doors closed.

He turned, pressing her between the elevator wall and himself.

He was adept, igniting them both with just a few moves.

The elevator was cramped, every sound, every breath, exceedingly clear.

She propped her hands against the elevator wall, upon which her scorching breath fell.

Zane lavishly praised her from behind.

Clearly, last night seed to have drained all his energy, yet today he felt just as fiery and ardent.

Sophia could never fully grasp the extent of the man’s prowess.

The elevator remained unengaged, staying on the bottom floor, the doors never reopening.

The two seed trapped inside, suffering painfully, desperately yearning for rescue, longing to be freed from a suffocating space.

"Zane..."

"Mm, I’m here..."

...

When Zane left, Sophia was already asleep in bed.

He kissed her lingeringly on the bed.

This woman lying in his bed was a rare blessing in his lifeti; given such intensity just now, how could he still let her get up in the middle of the night to see him off to the airport?

This fear was that she’d still end up crying at the airport.

Sophia truly regretted it, how could she have fallen asleep? She should have seen Zane off to the airport herself.

But Zane didn’t allow her to get up, insisting on leaving only once he saw her asleep.

Perhaps she had moved too much; she really fell asleep in his arms.

So much so that when Zane left, she had no awareness at all.

The door was gently closed.

Sophia lightly opened her eyes; she hadn’t truly fallen asleep. On the contrary, she wasn’t the least bit drowsy.

How could she fall asleep?

She got up, slipped on her slippers, and ran out.

Zane stood in front of the car as Butler Langley placed the luggage in the trunk.

He heard the patter of slippers running toward him and turned around, just as a slender body crashed into his embrace.

She was still in her pajamas, her long legs exposed to the air.

Butler Langley got into the car.

Zane held her tightly, feeling the warm dampness on his chest.

"Why did you co down?" he asked, frowning, thinking monts ago that she was asleep.

Sophia didn’t say a word, rely holding him silently.

She didn’t understand why she was being so sentintal; Zane would be back in a month, yet she still couldn’t bear to part with him.

Not to ntion a month, even a week, a day apart left her feeling choked up inside.

She didn’t delay him any longer, pulling away from his embrace.

Watching her like this made Zane feel uneasy.

He gently caressed her face and leaned down to kiss her.

"Wait for at ho and be good."

"Mm," she managed to respond with a choke in her voice.

She turned and went back into the villa, not daring to look back at him, afraid that another glance would make her burst into tears in front of him.

Zane didn’t linger long; seeing her go inside, he got into the car.
