For Long Yi, who has an excellent electronic foundation, the function of the components wasn’t too difficult. Especially after obtaining the knowledge boost from the Giants, it beca even less challenging—after all, within Long Yi’s body was hidden a fragnt descended from the Heavenly Kingdom.

Experinting, and experinting again, Long Yi’s spell learning experience in the Human Realm made combining a new magic unfamiliar to him. After just under a hundred hours of high-intensity testing, the first version of the drive magic was finally born.

Long Yi didn’t dare to use it directly on the insect nest but instead copied an insect nest and created several fake worms for testing.

The result was not surprising.

It failed.

Theoretically viable, but the magic collapsed imdiately upon full activation.

No matter how strong a programr is, they will encounter such problems: feeling like everything is done correctly, but the outco is different from what was initially expected. Long Yi faced the sa issue, feeling that he hadn’t made any mistakes, but the activation failed. What could be the reason?

Searching for errors, trying, and failing to start; searching for errors again, trying again, and failing to start again, Long Yi exhausted all his patience, even having to use so calming spells on himself.

Finally, after Long Yi’s dozenth confirmation that there were no omissions, the copied insect nest successfully started up, and orders issued through the nest were imdiately executed by the copied worms.

That should count as a success.

Long Yi thought.

However, he didn’t rush to deploy the drive magic imdiately but waited for a few days, checking the magic from different angles every day. Only after ensuring there were indeed no issues did he finally decide to implent it.

Then, Long Yi imdiately returned in secret to the Plane of The Forgotten Ones, where he needed to inform Elsa in advance so that Elsa could be prepared.

The Forgotten Ones were scattered across several planets, each with its own Emperor. Although Elsa had already controlled an Emperor and thus indirectly controlled a planet, it did not an the crisis was over. Because by this point, the Emperors of each planet had inevitably been controlled by the Worms.

Not long after Long Yi left, as far as all the worms on this planet were concerned, the worm originally parasitizing the Emperor of this planet was devoured by another worm. Of course, this wasn’t a problem for any worm, after all, they didn’t care who occupied the Emperor’s body.

With Elsa’s intervention, the entire Empire began grandly upgrading to new equipnt. The use of new-type energy alloys and automated magic almost instantly elevated the combat power of the entire Forgotten Ones’ warriors by a notch.

Long Yi’s arrival didn’t alarm anyone; he found Elsa secretly and told her that he had acquired the insect nest and could use it to annihilate all the worms in the Plane in one fell swoop. Upon hearing this news, Elsa was more excited than ever. The worms were such an odd and evil form of life that no foolproof plan was conceivable before. But now things were different—if the insect nest could really function as described, then the Plane would truly be safe.

However, the insect nest couldn’t directly destroy the worms; it could only command them to follow orders. What kind of instructions to give was indeed a problem.

First of all, Long Yi did not want to alter the current state of The Forgotten Ones, so any instructions given to the worms had to be extrely cautious and careful.

Initially, Long Yi decided to emulate the strategy from the middle Plane and convene a high-level eting involving all the Emperors of The Forgotten Ones. But once all the worm-infected individuals gathered, how would he explain their disappearance once the worms were gone? After all, in the middle Plane, those two Emperors recognized Long Yi. But here, no one knew Long Yi. Once the worm problem was resolved, things might beco even more troubleso.

"We can’t possibly control everyone," Long Yi scratched his head and said to Elsa.

"Why can’t we?" Elsa retorted.

"Uh..." Long Yi suddenly found himself at a loss for words.

Indeed, why couldn’t they? Elsa’s control over them wasn’t through magic, but through supplanting their original personalities with new ones. With this in mind, it certainly seed possible.

"Then, let’s do it!"

As the first experint, Long Yi still felt quite nervous. The Worm Nest’s range of influence was limited to a single plane and couldn’t cross planes. So, once the Worm Nest was activated, all the worms within the entire plane sensed its existence instantly. Soon after, Long Yi’s orders were conveyed. Before long, the entire race of The Forgotten Ones was abuzz with news that the emperors of several planets would be holding an impromptu eting to discuss the future direction of their race. To outsiders, it seed like a discussion on whether The Forgotten Ones should continue to dwell in secrecy or prepare to invade other planets.

The eting was set on an isolated planet, and a temporary venue was constructed there beforehand. To the public, this appeared to be for secrecy, but Long Yi just didn’t want any unexpected issues.

Ships from different planets were stationed around the periter of the planet, each carrying armies, while the emperors and their entourages all ca to the eting venue.

Unsurprisingly, all of the emperors’ entourages had been parasitized by the worms. However, under the command of the Worm Nest, all these worms’ thoughts were interrupted, and they could only blindly follow orders. They left their armors, rescinding all defense chanisms. Then the gluttonous snake imdiately swung into action, devouring all the worms. And Elsa, from behind, quickly supplented the fallen personalities of The Forgotten Ones who had lost consciousness due to the loss of the worms with new ones. At this point, Long Yi truly realized the fragility of this group of The Forgotten Ones. Those freed from the parasitism of the worms had their own personalities so fragnted that they barely functioned on instinct without Elsa’s injection of new personalities.

The entire process was swift, not even taking an hour. When the process was completed, the eting didn’t stop but continued. The fate of the whole race was in question, and it seed inappropriate to terminate it prematurely.

Finally, after dragging on for another three hours, all the emperors issued a joint statent. The race of The Forgotten Ones decided to uphold a policy of concealnt, refraining from attempting to invade the outside world. Also, to prevent potential threats, the Golden Emperor agreed to share the new type of energy alloy and automated magic technology to help the entire race improve their strength.

It has always been within The Forgotten Ones that the viewpoints of a concealnt policy versus an expansion policy were opposed. The faction of The Prophet was once the representative of the expansion policy. After the defeat of The Prophet’s faction, the number of people supporting the expansion policy greatly diminished. However, this did not an that supporters of this policy were gone, just greatly reduced in numbers.

Since the leadership of The Forgotten Ones was primarily occupied by the worms, the expansion policy was essentially a default among the upper echelons.

Now, with the worms’ disappearance and under Elsa’s control, the entire upper echelon of The Forgotten Ones unanimously devised a concealnt policy. So those who strong supported the expansion policy temporarily disappeared.

Indeed, just as the Okaman people once said, if one could live a good life just by eating and sleeping, who would enjoy fighting and killing?

All the emperors and ministers had beco Elsa’s people, possessing complete personalities and mories. Compared to before, they were rely more loyal to Elsa and nearly indistinguishable from their forr selves. This ant that all matters within this plane had been dealt with. Long Yi had thought it would take a great battle to end this fight, but luck was on his side, and the trouble here was easily resolved.

"Let’s go, let’s imdiately return to the Heaven Realm. We’ll deal with the worms in the Heaven Realm promptly. After that, we just need to wait for Ai Lin and the others while figuring out how to enter the Divine Realm."

At this mont, Long Yi spoke with high spirits.

Long Yi, Elsa, and Belle all passed through the plane’s passage. As soon as they left the Teleportation Array, Belle imdiately received information synced from her main body.

"Sothing strange happened," Belle said.
